GROUP REVIEW-WELL ORGANIZED I have been to this location at least 4 times with large groups of motorcycle riders. Today's experience was very consistent with the other times we came here. The staff is always prepared for us with hot coffee and a delicious brunch buffet. The buffet offered a variety to please everyone, which is hard to do with larger groups. This location had NO problem accommodating us. They reserved the second floor for us so we would not disrupt the main dining room, which we appreciate very much. It does get a little tricky with a large amount of motorcycles to park because park of the driveway is gravel, so be careful. If the food they served us is consistent with what they serve in the main dining room, definitely give them a try. I will the next time I'm in the area. read more

My husband and I have just started making this one of our favorite spots, as the food, drinks and service have always been exemplary. Although thought of as an Italian restaurant, everything from from steak to seafood has been well-prepared and served professionally. Prices are better than most other restaurants in the area, and it's surprising that more people don't visit. Hopefully, we're not going to regret posting this review, as we would like to keep this our own little family restaurant. They have a full bar, and the drinks are both well-made and reasonable. They also serve a full buffet, which varies from day to day, at a reasonable price. Well worth a visit, and would get 5 stars if a little more formal. read more

After reading some reviews I said to myself "let me check this place out" , boy was I surprised. Be ready to get ripped off, I was charged $10 for one beer and $39 for a seafood platter that had 5 shrimps, 5 scallops and lots of spaghetti with no taste. I had my wedding here this weekend in their beautiful newly renovated banquet hall, and it was a blast. The food, drinks, my wedding cake, music and decor was amazing. so many people came up to me to talk about the amazing food, cake, and how much fun the night was. DJ Paul was the best. You definitely cannot beat Five Points prices for everything it includes. Regina and her family was excellent to work with. I love coming to 5 points. Our entire family recently dined here. The waitress Heidi recognized us and said I have waited on you before. I guess you have, this is one our favorite spots. The service and staff are very courteous and prompt . The food is always delicious and steaming hot. The menu has everything you could want. Gourmet meals and specials all the down to pizza. 5 Points Inn, Vineland Nj, is a total sham. Their website features pictures of beautiful, gourmet, fresh food when in actuality nothing there is at all in that realm. Located in the middle of absolutely nowheresville, the place is basically a glorified bar/ dive restaurant. A family of 6 of Us went down for the Sunday buffet. Seafood/ carving stations/ home made crab cakes are all boasted on the website. Sounded very tempting and the photos looked delicious... family history/ write up was very nice about how the brothers came from Italy and started this business in 1978 etc. When we arrived we were greeted warmly and seated. After Daryl showed Us the buffet spread and gave a quick rundown of all of the offerings I immediately ran up to plate. Heaps of Mussels and clams to start, chicken and ravioli etc... salad bar looked nice. Two soups/ fresh bread & the carving station w/ an untouched ham/ Turkey breast and pork/ Prime rib under heat lamps. Then came the home made crab cakes. Daryl pointed to a pan of tiny brown puff circles... things that you find in the freezer section and said" crab cakes" ... I had to laugh. honestly. So I selected the Mussels, Ravioli, stuffed flounder, mini tuna chunks, a little scampi etc. Then went back up and got a cup of Lobster Bisque... and some fresh bread. I started in on the Tuna... it was dry and bland/ flavorless. Then the stuffed flounder... Tiny strips rolled up and broiled, then doused w/ butter. What this was stuffed w/ I am unsure. Oh yes, then there was the Stuffed calamari... aka the Rubber Glove... getting into the Ravioli was a saving grace. Yes, these were very nice, large and tender stuffed w/ cheese. Very nice. I would have gone up 3 more times to get these as they were pretty much the best thing available. Lobster Bisque was very flavorful. Bread was delicious. Crab cake puff thing was a complete joke. Scampi was coagulated and cold. Green beans were pretty good. Desert Island was standard, ready made disposables save for the fresh fruit. Then the bill came. (website advertises adults @ $19.99 per) The total w/ tip came to $180.00... for 6 people. A modern hijacking tragedy. No free refills on soda. 9 year old bird was charged full price when only eating a single plate + one Shoprite brownie. In the end, they had raised the price per person to $21.95 due to the addition of the Desert Island. And we had been had. These types of businesses should be fined for false advertising online. I suppose that we all have lessons to be learned from this experience. One would be much more pleased w/ a can of Chef Boy, a box of frozen crab cakes and a twinkie. 5 Points should change their name to Dead end Inn and barricade the doors w/ Police tape. read more

I really enjoyed my experience here. We were served by the grumpiest waiter I've ever had. Nothing he did was accommodating or friendly- he even brought me the wrong salad dressing and did not care at all. Despite this, we really liked the food. Very boring salads to start, basic mozzarella sticks, warm bread, and satisfying pasta dishes. There isn't anything fancy, but the food tasted fresh, was comforting and really hit the spot. Geesh Jim, it sounds as if you have an ax to grind. What I dont understand is that you posted your review on October 8th and said you were in on November 4th? What I also don't understand is if you did actually have that experience, then why did you return for dinner on November 2nd and not on the 4th as you claim. The truth of the matter is, you were told that you were not allowed to bring in your own wine and that angered you. The reason that I happen to know all this , is because I myself was in for dinner that evening with my family. We watched you make a scene about your wine. My family had to be subjected to your childlike behavior.They politely explained to you , that it is not their policy to allow outside alcohol in. They were very polite & kind while they were explaining this to you. My dining experence that night was EXCELLENT!! (aside from you) I myself, as well as my family, have had several buffet dinners they put out. It is always perfect. My food is alway pipin hot! I have no fear of getting "sick", and neither would you have, had they allowed you to drink your wine . The place is not "dirty and dingy" it is clean and original, its cozy and comfortable, relaxed and inviting. The food is GREAT as well as the prices. I feel that it is very unfair of you to post something so negitive about a resturant, that has been in bussiness for over 30 years, just because you couldn't drink your own wine. Shame on you! Also...I have read several of your past reviews, you tend to give high reviews based upon BYOB, so that you can drink your own wine without the pricy mark up? This Place Looks Like the Land Time Forgot.... Nastiest food I've ever had. Was passing by for a very late lunch. We get menus and are reviewing the fare. We notice the prices are pretty high for such a dump. The booths are ancient looking, the walls look filthy and the chandeliers look like they came out of a horror show. We ordered two root beers and received birch beer. I know.. What's the big deal? Well, root beer is root beer. Birch beer is NOT root beer. Its more like a combination of pepto bismal and root beer. At least that's what their birch beer tasted like. Ok... do you have mozzerella sticks? Yes. Okay I'll have an order of that a bacon cheddar burger $9.99 special. My husband ordered a cheesteak with lettuce and an order of french fries. Mozzerella sticks arrive. 3 on the plate. They were a good size but.. only 3? why not at least 4? There are usually at LEAST 2 people sitting at a table. Is the idea that they're "so good" that you'd have to order more? Uh. NOT! They were average at best. Food arrives. The lettuce, tomato and onion on my burger were slopped up with oil, salt and pepper. (Like they were pulled off a hoagie and up-cycyled!) Too bad they didn't use that type of ingenuity on the burger itself. A little salt and pepper to season the burger may have gone a long way. The burger itself? Greasy. No flavor whatsoever. But Lots and lots of grease. Pouring out of this burger. Positively disgusting. And my husband's french fries? Never surfaced. They came out as potato chips. Now... We went as a group to the dinner buffet on Tuesday night. Online the buffet special is $14.99 per person. When we went to settle the bill, we noticed it was $91 for 4 people. When we inquired, the bar tab was for all fountain sodas (no free refills) and the price per person was $16.99. I pulled up their website & showed our server then she showed it to management their website clearly stating $14.99 per person, they didn't correct our bill. All they said was the prices on the menu inside the restaurant is what they go by. Management wouldn't change the price or correct the matter in any way. Ridiculous! read more

We read a review in the AC press on this place and decided we had to try it prior to going to a concert in Vineland. It was great- We went on Sunday when they have a wonderful buffet- many seafood appetizers- shrimp, clams and oysters on 1/2 shell, mussels red and white, flounder roll ups clams casino and more. Then a carving station with ham, turkey, pork and very good prime rib. plus deserts Our waiter alos told us they have an Italian buffet on Tuesdays and a meat and potatoes buffet on Wednesday- can't wait to go back and try them Only 1/2 hour drive from Somers Point and worth the trip read more

My wife and I tried the buffet, what a mistake. $32.00 per person to get stomach cramps. Their aren't many people getting the buffet which should have been a sign. They have a carving station but one of the waiters that has his own tables cuts the meats for you but you have to wait for him to be available. I understand wht there sre so many conflicting reviews. I have been there for their seafood buffet, swore never to return...but my son insists on going for Mother's Day breakfast buffet. It's served in the upstairs dining room. Holds literally tons of people. Was hard climb for me when I was recuperating from heart surgery and, also, last year after hip surgery, but the climb was worth it. We have about 20 in our party. A looong table accommodates us but not always able to converse with all. We usually meet and greet while waiting at outside tables and benches. Parking is a little confusing with so many people inside. But this is the best. So many choices and as many returns to the buffet tables as your appetite allows. Price of buffet is very reasonable. Children are accommodated. Coffee is hot and very good. Eggs cooked to order, waffles made fresh, bacon and sausage to overflowing, panny cakes and hot milk gravy, toast, bread, scrambled eggs, milk, juice, crushed strawberries, all kinds of pastry, and now I am hungry. My hubby & I stopped in here to eat dinner tonight. It was the first time I've been here in a year. The last time we stopped in the Bartender wasn't very attentive nor friendly. He actually made us feel unwelcome . But we've been hearing that the food was pretty good so we decided to give it another shot. My husband ordered rigatoni & I ordered shrimp scampi. I honestly wasn't sure how good the food was going to be because the bar is pretty outdated but I was happy we gave it a shot. Our waitress was friendly, our food came out quickly & the food was very good. The portions were good & we had enough to bring home. The prices were high considering how outdated the restaurant's appearance looks. Also the same miserable bartender was behind the bar. How he still works there is beyond me. We have gone about 6 times in the last few months. I printed a Restaurant.com certificate about a month or two ago,and went with my girlfriends for dinner. Right off, I told the waitress I had one,and she told me they were not accepting them. We ate anyway. The company issued me a refund. Much to my surprise when I went looking for a replacement certificate-I saw 5 Points on the list again! I called the restaurant and was told that they were accepting them up until August 18. I gathered my friends together on August 14,and we went for dinner. As I was telling the waitress I had a Restaurant coupon,my friends had already come back from the buffet with soups and salads. The waitress told me I couldn't use it with the buffet. I asked why,because the only exclusion was Holidays and Special events. This was neither. The man who told me the certificte was good on the phone came over and said it wasn't good for the Italian dinner night buffet. I asked him to please show me where on the certificate it said that,and he couldn't. Meanwhile,my friends were all enjoying their dinners and I was being aggravated and lost my appetite. I was told I could order off the menu and take food to go and if it totalled $50, I could use the $25 off certificate. When I asked,curiously, why I was told it was no good a month ago,the man said "Oh, it was good she shouldn't have told you it wasn't!" The other waitress who we have known for years came over to try to calm me. The point is, we are regulars there(or were-I will not be returning), and they should have given us the value of the certificate. They were extremely rude, did not explain to my satisfaction why,mostly how they were unsatisfied with Restaurant.com. Well-hey-that's not my problem. After I calmed down,my friends insisted I eat. If you're a meat eater and more into quantity than quality this is the place for you. The meat and poultry servings are enormous. Unfortunately they are also full of fat and gristle. For example on our most recent visit one in our party had chicken piccante with so much tough fatty material half of it had to be discarded, as should have been before it even touched the plate. Another had chicken parm and said it "had a little of that, but only in one spot." The homemade pastas are the reason i keep going back. The ravioli tastes like my italian grandmother's, which i haven't had since she passed away 20 years ago. Sadly they are not so generous with the pasta servings. I'm giving four stars for the pastas; would be five but $14.99 for FOUR little ravioli and a shot glass of soup is outrageous. We recently had a surprise 60th birthday party for my dad in the newly renovated banquet room at Five Points Inn. The owners and staff went above and beyond to ensure that we had the absolute best service. They allowed us to come early and set up decorations and even offered to accommodate our color theme. The prices were very reasonable, bartender was personable, and service staff was on their game. I received many compliments throughout the party and even in the following days about the atmosphere, bar renovations, drinks, service, and mostly about the food! We chose the buffet style and there was more than enough food at all times. The chicken marsala was to die for and the steamed vegetables were bursting with flavor. We will definitely be using Five Points Inn in the future for any parties, banquets, or family dinner night out. There is simply no better place to eat homemade pasta! Whether it's spaghetti, ravioli or stuffed shells (my personal favorite) it's the best. I recommend the chicken parm too...and if you're hungry for a sandwhich, try a chicken cheese steak. You'll find it made with freshly grilled chicken breast. I can't say enough wonderful things about Five Points Inn! Five Points catered my wedding in an off-site location and they went above and beyond to make everything perfect. Their wedding packages are a stress free way to plan a wedding! Myself and my now husband moved out of state prior to the wedding and we were so lucky to have Five Points cater- because they took care of coordinating everything. Our package included a DJ, limo, centerpieces, wedding cake, full catered buffet and sweets, linens and open bar. We were able to pick out all the details and nothing was ever a problem. The food was delicious and everyone raved about it! Regina visited the off-site location multiple times in order to determine the best way to set everything up and it was truly perfect. We received so many compliments on how seamlessly the wedding went and it is all thanks for the Five Points Inn. We are so grateful with how they handled our wedding and we wouldn't change a thing! While previously living in and visiting NJ we were able to eat at Five Points Inn multiple times. Every meal was delicious and fresh. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is cheery. Ended up coming here after a beautiful day on the beach. Saw good reviews so figured we would give it a try. To our surprise there was a land and sea buffet that looked pretty good. However, we paid 26.95 per person and there was not much except undercooked (nearly raw) u-peel shrimp. So gross. Clams casino stuck to the tray so we couldn't even get them and the soup was seriously hardened from the amount of time it was sitting. On top of the poor presentation their was a big fella standing right by the buffet barking orders at everyone and after every trip would ask everyone who walked up if they were finished yet. The food seriously was left out all day and the buffet was supposed to run until 9pm and they closed at 11, however they started packing everything up at 8:00 and never once brought anything fresh out the entire hour we were there. Startedout to be pretty good food. I had the mussels appetizer. Then my husband and I ordered the chicken picante. We were asked if we wanted two side vegetables or speggetti linguinni fettucini. We asked for the linguinni. The owner is the one who took our order by the way. He reccommended the chicken be served over the linguinni instead of the red sauce with it. We agreed. The menu said the price was 15.99 for the chicken picante. Later when the bill came. The owner had charged us 2.00 extra on each chicken dinner. We asked him to correct the bill and he said that because we had the linguinni servered with the chicken on top of the pasts it was 2.00 more per dinner. We argued and he just kept saying I'm sorry that is the price. He failed to tell us this when he suggested we order the meal this way. This place is a rip off and should be shut down for false pricing. They also do not serve their seafood with proper seafood forks. When asked for a seafood fork we were told to forget the seafood fork because people take them for souvenirs. So he wont serve them anymore. The food was 1 star with 4 star prices. The place is a dive bar and is dark and not well cleaned. As we were leaving another table behind us was also complaining about the price jack up for the pasta. We will not be back to here again and we will tell our friends in vineland and millville and everyone not to go here.
