Elias does not understand customer service. Not only is his cleaning sub-par, he drops the ball on scheduled cleanings for our vacation rental and blames us (even though we communicate twice about the cleaning). He doesn't wash laundry (sheets are always still dirty and we have caught them only running laundry through the rinse and spin cycle every single time we check). He also cleans the house in 40 minutes even though he told us it was always going to be a 3 hour "deep clean." He has double charged us several times and when we catch it, he claims innocence. He is super quick to blame everything on the client and not his "crew". He once said that someone broke into our neighbors house and messed up their rental vs. his crew not actually cleaning. He obviously has loose values and is quick to lie. I supported him for many years because I wanted to support his family, but have to say, no more. read more

We hired Five star cleaning because of their license and bonding and the fact they said they clean lots of commercial buildings I figured our home would be easy. We paid for the "initial deep clean" and thought it was odd that our bed was made incorrectly. We are NOT picky by any means but when you get into bed and the sheets are upside down and inside out, the duvet cover is actually under the comforter and you are short sheeted something is terribly wrong! We've had them come out a total of 3 times and the last 2 times we said " don't touch the bed" LOL the bathroom floors were far from clean, the overall house appearance was just so-so and to be honest other then the few folded towels or clothes you couldn't tell anyone had been by to clean. When I contacted the owner and sent pictures of the dirty bathroom floor I expected to hear that they would send someone out to clean it or that there would be no charge instead I got a lie saying my dogs messed it up after they cleaned! One dog was at the vets all day and the other was outside the entire time. When I told them that I was called a liar and that I could send the check to their Solano Ave address! I said "for work which was not done right" and again I was called a liar and that I could keep "their money as they didn't need it anyway". I don't know what kind of business they run but it's not one which cares about happy customers or satisfaction. Save yourself the time and money and go with another company. For commercial offices they may be fine but thumbs down for residential. Very disappointed! read more

Actually this service demands LESS than one star. Sylvia, the owner, was very disrespectful and unprofessional. They forgot about my appointment and came to clean my house 4 hours late. The owner was extremely rude and petulant telling me that I'm lucky someone came to clean my place at all. Please do not give them business. They are also on Groupon, and doing business with them will leave you disappointed and frustrated. The owner should treat their customers that they've already offended with their tardiness better and with more respect. Will not hire them again. read more

I required move-in and move-out services initially. Mr. Moreno and his team fulfilled the move-in service as requested. There was a snafu with the move-out service (broken steam cleaning machine on a weekend) and I was left to personally handle the issue. The property management company needed the place by Monday; since it was impossible to get another company to do it, I had to do it myself. I expressed my disappointment to Mr. Moreno. I was expecting a simple "We're sorry for this, and we will make it up to you" response which would have left me somewhat appeased. Mr. Moreno instead sent me a response which was not very nice, while stating they have been in business for X years. I was surprised, but responded that I was sorry he had to argue with his customer that way. I paid Mr. Moreno for the move-out services and decided to end the service relationship right then and there. I was actually prepared to offer his company a bi-weekly cleaning contract at my new place. His loss. His company and team probably do their jobs well, but if you hire them--make the parameters simple. And be prepared to have this dynamic with the owner. Anyway, you can't go wrong if you insist on and pay only for services rendered. It looks like this is not the same-named business in Antioch, CA. I own numerous rental properties in Napa. The woman I normally use to do move out cleans has left the area, so I got online and found 5 Star. Actually, I am sorry I didn't look at these Yelp reviews first. With several other "One Star" reviews I wouldn't have hired them. Because I am always suspicious when a company has several bad reviews then a couple of glowing reviews which are usually thrown up there by friends and family to offset bad ones... I am not saying this happened here but that is generally my suspicion. The owners came out and gave me a pretty high bid for a studio apartment "one time" clean. But,bids are usually a bit higher for just one time and I was in a hurry and they could come out the next day. So, I hired them. I assumed when they said "we will see you tomorrow" that they were coming to clean the next day. They did not arrive the but sent two young people instead. They looked to me to be a couple of High School kids on summer break. They came and spent 1.5 hrs doing what was suppose to be a "Deep Clean" (which came to a $50.00 per hr price tag). When I inspected the job there was still grime on the kitchen and bathroom floors in the corners. The walls and doors had not been wiped down, the kitchen cupboard door fronts still had food and grime on them and none of the baseboards had been cleaned. Again, this is a one time high priced bid for a "Deep Clean". I pointed out some things to the young man that was here and he said he would fix them. They had asked for cash for the job so I asked for an invoice and the young man said he didn't have one. He said his boss would bring one by and he spent a few more minutes in the studio and they left. I went back and re-inspected after they left and they still had left many of the things I pointed out undone. The owner Elias Moreno came to collect payment and give me an invoice. When I took him back to show him my dissatisfaction and concerns, I had a similar experience as other reviewers. Elias had no interest at all in hearing my customer impressions,complaints, and concerns. He became argumentative and began making excuses. He was uninterested in listening to me point out the issues and just kept saying over top of me that he said he would fix the problems (yet he didn't want to hear what they were). When I indicated that I was paying $47-50 per hour for him to send out a couple of teenagers out to do a mediocre job. He immediately got defensive and claimed they bid the job not by the hour (which I was aware of and if the place shined I would have handed them the money and that would have been that!)... But, when a mediocre job is done your mind automatically does the math and you feel "taken". He also told me that he was the boss and he could hire whoever he wanted. Which is true ...( I too can hire whoever I want and they never indicated when they came out to bid the job that they weren't the ones that would be doing the work) I believed that I had hired the owners. Then he got mad and began yelling at me going on and on about how he has been in this business for 15 years and has never had any problems...etc.. etc.. etc... (as seems to be his standard answer for all complaints). And, So what!... That is like at the end of a bad date the guy telling you how long he has been dating and how many other dates were really happy and wanted to go out with him again... how does that change my experience?? He then spent another 15 minutes in the studio and came to my door to get payment. After he left and I walked back over to see the studio and I still had to wipe some things off of the kitchen cupboards (which he didn't notice and had pretty much refused to listen to me point out earlier). So, I actually give 5 Star... two ratings; 1 Star for their ability to "Deep Clean" and 0 Stars for their customer service. UPDATE: Upon closer inspection of the bathroom tile, kitchen cabinets, and under the sink... I had to spend 1 hour on my own finishing the job I expected them to do for the high price they charged. If anyone is considering hiring them... Seemed great at first, accommodated my schedule. However, the work was unsatisfactory and when I called to advise, the customer service was less than adequate. The cleaning job was unsatisfactory and in some areas, just plain not done. Paid far too much for basically an incomplete and shoddy job. Would not recommend nor use again. read more

They came in to clean with only a few hours notice which was great! They quoted me a flat rate price which was fair but in general, I prefer paying by the hour rather than the job. That's just me. They did a great overall job and cleaned out a lot of grime! They missed a few toddler handprints and the inside mirror on my medicine cabinet but that's just me nitpicking. Overall they did a good job and the house looked great. I'll probably use them on a regular basis. read more

Superb job!! The professionals at 5 Star Cleaning Service did a deep cleaning of our home on March 3. Excellent service! They cleaned everything from top to bottom (and I mean everything!). I'm still noticing things they cleaned almost 2 weeks later! They were very thorough and placed things back exactly where they found them. They were eager to please and followed all of my special requests. Five star cleaning service has been cleaning my family's house for about two months now, and let me just say, the job they've been doing is phenomenal. There always on time and if they're not they do call, most of all, I can trust them to do a very thorough job of cleaning our house. I have three kids, and let me say, the rooms are very messy. But by the end of the time five-star cleaning services done cleaning, it looks like a brand-new house again. The best thing I like about them is that they know how to do floors. I have all wood floors, and when they're done, they leave them looking spotless. They do the job quick, and never make a sound. Elias and Lucy have great personalities, and I wouldn't want anybody else cleaning my house but them or me! I know the season is what she's in, and my whole family was sick, but Elias and Lucy went around and disinfected all doorknobs and all handles.
