Good service with good food to match. Prices are fair and the staff are eager to assist.

From past bad experiences with burgers and product quality issues in many different airport restaurants, I normally don't order burgers because they are always cold, dry, tasteless, and downright horrible. But this burger from Shake Shack was surprisingly very good. I ordered from the self-serving kiosk and the wait time for my order was about 5 minutes. The entire restaurant including the counter area, dining area, and even the condiments station was all very clean and inviting. I ordered the Double Shack Burger made with two smashed angus beef patties, American cheese, and topped with lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, and Shack Sauce on a toasted potato bun, an order of fries and a 20 oz bottled drink for $24.79. A little step, but of course, all menu items are à la carte, and this is airport dining. The bun was fresh soft, and lightly toasted. The burger patties were nicely smashed, hot, juicy, the cheese melted and all the condiments were fresh, cool, and bright. This burger was prepared with care and assembled beautifully to create the perfect burger. The crinkle cut fries were perfectly cooked, lightly salted, and golden brown. This was by far the BEST airport burger and fries I have ever eaten. Date of Visit: Saturday 05-03-26 Shake Shack | Newark Liberty International Airport | Terminal A

They open the store very early, it was open when we were at the airport around 7am. Dining area was neat and clean. The menu has all the SS burgers, shakes, lemonade and bites. On top of that they have special breakfast menu that I haven't seen in any other SS outside. There's bunch of egg n cheese sandwiches and hash browns available. Since it was early morning, orders were getting fulfilled quickly. The food had the all familiar taste and quality.

Difference is in the service, cleanliness, and the ingredients (while it should I taste the same, but sometimes... the rice is undercooked.. and over salted). This location is conveniently near the Prudential Center, just 5 mins. Got myself a chicken bowl - there was a 10 min wait for honey chicken. The rice was cooked - chicken wasn't tough, tomato & corn salsa has good flavors... sadly the guac was kind of bland... still a good bowl. I needed a little substance for the next 5 hours to endure a concert and a potential long commute back to the city at night. Tables needed cleaning, but overall, good enough.

The only thing that came out was steak, and the staffer asked..."WHO IS WAITING ON STEAK?" Come to the front of the line if you want steak. This after waiting about 20 minutes. Meanwhile, I wanted a veggie salad...so I said...may I order please I just want a veggie salad (there were 2 ladies in front of me waiting on chicken) so I was able to then, after waiting while I didn't know what was the reason, get my salad. Let me state - many of the trays were empty, not just protein. I got the last of the pinto beans - dried up pinto beans. White rice was empty. Often, they are either cash only, or credit/debit card only. You learn to bring both with you, or you're leaving without ordering. The employee turnover is still often, but I will state that everyone working there is pleasant~! Lastly, there's a new cilantro lime sauce. I thought it'd be bright and citrus-y. NO, it burned my mouth and lips. It was inedible. Such a disappointment, and it was placed on top of everything. In trying to scrape it off, the casualties were the corn, the chunky tomato salsa, and some of the guac. I wound up throwing out about 80% of the salad b/c of this horrible sauce. Lesson learned. This, no fault of the staff, fault of Chipotle for not cautioning that it's hot. So that's that. If you're in the area, expect a delay/line and empty food trays during peak hours. I think they are more busy filling the app orders, which takes food away from the people there in person.

Backed by celebrity investors like LeBron James and Maria Shriver, the concept is an assembly-line approach to customizable artisanal-style pies. Think Chipotle, but make it pizza. Personal sized, thin crust pizza (6 slices) is built right in front of you in an open kitchen, then fired in an oven for 3 minutes. You can finish things off with drizzles of various sauces or a handful of arugula if you fancy extra embellishment. Choose a signature pie or build your own - I love that you can have any toppings for one flat price. For the allergen or diet conscious: gluten-free, cauli, and keto crusts are all available alongside the original and high-rise doughs. We also tried the protein-zza, a California-style chicken & veggie pizza made with cauliflower crust. I was fully prepared to be smug about detecting the alternative crust, but couldn't tell the difference at all. It was generously loaded with toppings, and the roasted garlic really made the taste pop. Fresh, vibrant flavors all around. We went on a Sunday so it wasn't too crowded and service was swift, and the pizzas came out beautifully. For a quick-serve franchise, this place delivered high-performance pies that defied my expectations.
