Our excellent experience really started with Anthony answering my inquiry call. We had, in my mind, a very complicated move. Anthony said " we will solve all the problems". AND THEY DID! Walls and floors were protected, furniture and artwork was carefully wrapped for storage, items were staged on the truck for all the different delivery spots......we were impressed with Anthony, but every member of the crew was deserving of FIVE STARS!! Earlier this week, a two man crew from Five Star in Waukesha did a small but heavy move for me, involving three different residences. I was very impressed by the professional and friendly attitudes of both Al and Don. They even moved a console piano (extra fee, but I knew that in advance) and were very careful with it. No damage happened to any furniture; everything was thickly wrapped in heavy moving blankets and was well packed. They also moved a bedroom set and put it in the garage so it was easier for a charitable organization to pick up later, and carried smaller furniture pieces from the basement to the garage for the same reason. The movers maneuvered a tricky second floor staircase at the first residence and successfully carried down a complete bedroom set with nary a scratch. Kudos also to Isac, who set up our move so quickly - I called on the Wednesday prior and was able to secure a crew for Monday, just a few days later. Very, very happy with Five Star!! read more

Anthony came to my house and walked through all areas to be moved. His estimated time was within 15 minutes of total loading time. We moved ourselves from another state and needed help unloading into an apartment and storage unit. The other company we had scheduled WEEKS in advance canceled. Five-Star made it happen and beat the other company on the price (everything happens for a reason, right?)! We used them to move into our home from both apartment and storage unit, and again for moving appliances. *Be Aware!** I was hired by the owner Anthony to provide labor services and packing material for a last minute pack job that he booked without having the proper material. I bailed him out while giving his customer a great moving experience. The bill was $491.97. I gave him more than a 10% discount bringing the bill to $427.77. Anthony agreed to the amount while thanking me for bailing him out. The next day he refused to pay me while threatening to "make me whole again". He gave me the option to accept replacement material, "Take the L", Accept a price of his choosing which was $250, or to take him to court. Please be aware of this shady business owner!! read more

Had them move some garbage. They left garbage and didn't empty the receptacles. Literally $400 down the drain.

I hired this crew to move my mom from her home to a senior apartment. While they did an excellent job moving treasured and somewhat fragile antique furniture, i thought they were painfully slow. Seems like they would go into the house and it would be 30 minutes before they came out again with one piece of furniture. The same with the apartment, they would carry one piece of furniture in then disappear out to the parking lot for 20 minutes before returning with one piece of furniture. I feel like they could have been a little faster and wonder if they moved slowly as they were getting paid by the hour. Next time i move my mom, I will definitely arrange to pay the mover a flat, agreed to ahead of time fee rather than risking paying by the hour again. They charged me $625 to move less than a full truck of furniture 5 miles. read more

We called Five-Star Moving Crew on the recommendation of our realtor. We needed to clear a house that was occupied by hoarders near Delavan, Wisconsin. Five-Star's quote was the most competitive. Anthony came out with Willie and Chris and they killed it!! Not only were they able to clean out the house ahead of schedule, they were super nice guys and easy to work with. NO SHOW!!! Five Star Moving Crew had agreed to move my 4 bedroom home on Saturday, June 3rd. I called that Thursday to touch base and I spoke with Anthony again and he assured me that we were all set - they even sent me an email confirming the date and time. Saturday came, I got baby sitters and a 26ft Uhaul truck. Anthony and his Five Star Moving Crew never showed up! No call or anything! I called several times and left voicemails - still have not heard from them. The have cost me $120 in truck and sitter not to mention a whole weekend wasted!!! And now I have to order another truck, sitter, and our move out date has been pushed back. This is extremely unprofessional and bad buisness! This really screwed up my current living situation and I have 4 kids!! read more

I live out of town and needed to move my parents. They did a tremendous job! My parents found the crew to be extremely polite and careful. It was a much larger job than expected yet they were flexible in being able to work the next day. Highly recommend Five-Star Moving Crew! I was nervous moving a whole single family home from Wisconsin to Illinois but Five-Star Moving Crew made it a much less stressful process. Anthony described the process by phone to me and calmed my fears. I was able to text him for reassurance/clarification from the time I booked them until move day. 3 movers came - all were very polite, hardworking, careful, and receptive to feedback. They even helped me pack up stuff that I couldn't manage to finish packing on my own. They were skilled with disassembling furniture and reassembling it at our destination. Price for everything was way more affordable than other moving companies. It seemed crazy that other moving companies would hold on to my stuff for 7+ days before they would deliver to Illinois. Unfortunately we were a little too far for Five Star Moving Crew to come do an in home estimate so I tabulated the items that I needed moved. I underestimated what I had. It turned out our 1 day move turned into a 2 day move but overall I was thankful that we made it all work. read more

Anthony and his crew were great! They took extraordinary care with our belongings and homes. I noticed several times when they paused in moving a large piece of furniture so they could make sure they didn't damage anything. The whole crew was friendly and courteous. In the end, they couldn't quite get everything in one trip so Anthony made plans to collect the remaining pieces and showed up on time the next day to make the delivery. Anthony was great to work with. He was able to give us an estimate over the phone based on the sq. footage of our old and new place, and the amount of stuff we told him we needed moved. What he estimated was actually higher than what we ended up paying! They day of the move, we had two men helping us and in 3 hours they had has packed and unpacked. They worked very efficiently. I read the great reviews on Yelp. Anthony and his crew must have had an "off" day. They DID NOT live up to their reputation. They did not pack the truck high and tight. They loaded heavier boxes on top of lighter boxes, therefore boxes were crushed. They did not adequately protect the furniture, even though they were provided with moving pads. Furniture was packed upside down and sideways and tilted. There were multiple pieces that rubbed against each other and/or hard (metal) objects. There was major damage of a couple of pieces. Significant damage on several other pieces. Decorative pieces on the base of some of the furniture got broken. The unloaders in Phoenix commented on how poorly the job as done. Anthony and his crew appear to be very nice men. They were fast and efficient. On this job, they did not do well. I was very disappointed after reading the other reviews. It will cost hundreds of dollars to have the furniture repaired,..... if it can be. read more

To start the day, they arrived 50 minutes late. I had to call 2 twice to find out how far away they were. We had two pieces of wood furniture that had chips on their edges, which isn't entirely possibly to prevent, however, the jewelry box that goes on top of our dresser probably could have been. It looks like it was set on its side, rather than sitting on its bottom. The one item that really angered me was my night stand. It has two drawers in it, which were taken out so it could be carried more easily. However, when Anthony went to grab pick it up, he picked it up by a wood separator that was between the two drawers, which immediately broke. I would have to spend $100 just to get it looked at, which I can't afford. Anthony said to just use wood glue to get it back whole, but I shouldn't have to do that. He messed up and should have paid for it. I can understand pieces of wood getting chipped during transport, but not when moving it into our new place by carelessly picking it up. read more
