I had my nails done here, and the quality was terrible. Just 3 days later, they already looked bad. I went back to ask if they had any kind of warranty since it had only been 2 days, but they said they could only fix one nail. Even while they were doing my nails the first time, I told them the work looked bad, but they didn't do anything about it. When I went back, they even laughed when I said their work was poor. Had a mani pedi here last week with my husband on my birthday. This was a terrible experience and really put a dampener on my birthday. My pedicure was awful, we did the "nicest" pedicure which was $70 and supposed to have 20 minutes of massage time. The guy doing my pedicure had no idea what he was doing or where anything was, he spent more time walking around the salon than he did doing my pedicure and nearly no massage time (maybe 2-3 minutes). He barely filed my toenails so I had to trim/file them myself when I got home. I basically paid $70 to have someone slap some lotion on my legs and paint my toenails and nothing else (no massage, no callus removal, no exfoliation). I was so disappointed in the pedicure I was going to just have them remove my old shellac and leave without having a manicure, but they convinced me that someone else could do it without taking another two hours. They did it very very quickly, and after 5 days four of my nails had chipped significantly, I've never had shellac polish chip off in 5 days. On the way home my husband told me that he had asked them to buff his nails, but that the woman had offered to polish them for him instead which he refused. They still charged him $10 for buffing. He also had several hangnails that I had to trim, and file his nails to get them to a uniform shape. They took $10 off the price of my pedicure and $10 off my husband's because I was very unhappy about the pedicure, but I think they should have taken more off mine. They also didn't have the air conditioning on, which in late may in Orlando is very uncomfortable. read more

I went to have my acrylics removed and have never had such an experience. I don't believe they were soaked long enough as she was having to rip and pull them off . Told me it was my fault as left on too long . My nails are still bleeding underneath 3 days later! . I have been theu two boxes of bandaids as if anything hits the fingers bruised it hurts . We just moved to the area and I was really excited to make this my new nail place because it's literally in the neighborhood. I called at 10:30am to "schedule" 2 mani/pedis (one for my mom, and one for me) at 11:30am for the same day. Surprisingly they said they could accommodate. I was running late, so I called to let them know we would be there closer to noon. Once we got there, the young lady at the front was busy but she was pleasant and greeted us, we started looking at the polishes while we waited. The way the polishes are arranged can be a little confusing if you haven't been there before. We selected a couple of polishes, just in time for her to come back and offer us water and walk us to the pedi chairs. So far, so good. The lady who came to do my nails was flat out rude, she made a comment to the young woman to take some of the polishes before we broke them. She was also incredibly inpatient. Later she asked, "you don't live around here?" I am not sure what to make of the comment. Meanwhile, no one came to start my mom's pedicure or manicure for the entire time we were there, there was no communication about the wait, no one took responsibility, no one followed up. My nails were done and no one had even started my mom's nails. We ended up leaving with my mom not getting her nails done. One positive thing... my nails look nice... but overall service is very poor here and we won't be back. read more

Went here to get a pedicure and got right in. Sat in the chair and the women in charge whispered something to the women doing my nails and she left. Another women comes from the back of the store to take over and starts to put water on my feet and the boss turns the water on extra hot. A few seconds more and I would have gotten an injury. Luckily the women servicing me turned the cold water on. The manicure was just ok nothing special. There are too many options to go here for sub par service. I have been coming here for 2 years now. As of yesterday well that was my last time ever standing foot into that place!! I am disgusted by the woman who did my nails. I went and got a mani and pedi. So first I'm Sitting in the pedi chair and the woman says to put my feet into the water. Oooooohhh my god the water was excruciating hot. She then said oh no problem I'll put more cold water as if it was nothing. Then she continued to ask me what kind of pedicure I wanted. I said regular. She then went on for five minutes trying to push me into spending more money and doing a different pedicure I then said for the third time no I will just do regular. And she's halfway through doing my nails she goes have you been here before I said yes she goes OK well manicure pedicure is now $40. I'm like wow!!! Thanks for telling me this after your Practically done doing my nails. After the pedicure I walk over to get my manicure. She's then starts pushing me to do gel instead of regular nail polish. I said no regular is fine. After she puts the clearcoat on she gets up and I look at her and go I need to dry my nails she goes no dry station. I go are you kidding me how am I supposed to dry my nails she Goes just leave your nails there on the table. Wow!!! Then I look at The person next to me and they have someone drying their nails with a little fan. Absolutely disgusted!!! So you adjust your prices to a higher amount and this is how you take care of your customers? This nail salon , to make up for money from Covid they're going to rip off their customers and not say anything to them about their price adjustment ? You should be ashamed of yourselves. Beyond awful experience. I was rushed through my dip manicure and a spa pedicure. I paid for extra massage which I didn't get. I was felt like they were trying to rush me through to get the next person in, even though there were four people working it seems like one girl knew how to do feet and another girl knew how to do nails and the other two were helping out. I went in for a manicure and pedicure the day before the Fourth of July. Even though they were busy, I was seated quickly, and the nail tech got started right away. Then, after starting on my pedicure, she abruptly got up with no explanation and was gone for about 20 minutes. I wasn't too worried about it because it gave me more time to soak my feet and use the massage chair. After she returned, she ran some more water and resumed my pedicure. She never said anything to me or asked me any questions, but it didn't bother me too much; she seemed to anticipate the length and shape I wanted (I'm pretty traditional), so I was fine with having a quiet, relaxing appointment. Everything was OK until she started to polish my feet. The polish was running out, so she added polish thinner to make it stretch. Unfortunately, the polish was too thin and started running and dripping all over my feet and the equipment. I was mildly annoyed, but the polish didn't look too bad. It was a little streaky, but it looked OK in the salon. Things got bad during the manicure portion of my visit. By this point, she had added so much thinner that the polish was dripping like water. It was applying really sloppy and super thin/streaky, and getting all over my fingers and cuticles. After a couple coats on a few of my fingers, I told her that I didn't think the color would work and I didn't like the way that it looked. She continued anyway, applying streaky layer after streaky layer. Once she was "done," I told her I still didn't like it, so she decided to put a few coats of glitter polish on my nails to mask the streakiness. After continuing to go back and forth with her, I told her that I wanted her to remove the polish. She finally obliged and let me pick a different color, but she became sloppy, careless, rude and rough throughout the rest of the appointment. To make matters worse, once I was outside and standing up, I saw how bad my feet looked. It looked like they were done during an earthquake because they were all different shapes and lengths, and under the natural lighting, I could see how bad the polish looked. I am 100% sure that I could have done a better job at home. The other two people that I went with were equally displeased. Needless to say, none of our manicures or pedicures held up through the weekend, even though one of us got gel. I would never go here again or recommend them to anyone else. read more

I have gone here twice, both for pedicures. Both times I was a walk in on a weekday and they got me in quickly. The decor is a bit dated, but it is clean and the massage chairs are great. The first time I made sure to let the tech know about an old soccer injury on my shin that makes massaging it really painful. It took 2 more times of me telling him this to get him to stop massaging that shin. That time the rest of the experience was ok. My polish was well done but it chipped a lot sooner than I'd expect. 2nd time was lots better. I paid more for a gel polish on my toes and it did last a lot longer. The tech was very gentle and understanding with my old injury. And I got to overhear some big plans that the new owner has for revamping the salon. I will be back and hopefully update my review with higher stars. read more

Thoroughly disappointed. Went with girlfriend and other lady friend after we called and they said they were under new ownership. What a mistake we made. As you can see in the photos they didn't do a god job on my pedicure. Ripped cuticles which even made me bleed. It's been one week since I visited this place and I am sill in pain and it hurts something awful to walk on my left foot (because of pain and swelling in big toe torn cuticles -See photos). Tracy is the best! They use liners when giving a pedicure and use sanitized tools every time. Their prices are reasonable and they do a great job. They really take their time with you. PLEASE be careful if you go! I came on this past Saturday for a fill on my acrylics, and the woman who did my nails began taking them off by using a metal tool in between my natural nail and the acrylic. I didn't ask for a new set, and they were not loose. Every other time I've had acrylics removed, my nails were let to soak to make the removal easier. However, I didn't question it since this is her profession and I assumes she knew best. After 3 nails were removed, I asked if I needed a new set - she said yes and continued to work. Okay, no big deal. However, and this is the main reason I say be careful, one would not come off. I'm going to spare you all the gross details of what happened and just try to summarize the best I can't Instead of soaking it, or leaving it on, she cut down from the top of my nail and ended up ripping off a good portion of my natural nail. Now I have one much shorter than the rest, but nails grow back so again I let it slide and that did not bother me. My concern is now I have a very bad infection and pain due to the acrylic being applied over a fresh cut and improperly removed. Additionally, she never asked about length or shape. Overall I'm left with a lot of pain and a disappointing result. It's saddening since this was my regular location due to living nearby. I do not plan on returning as every visit prior to this has been mediocre to sub par, but with the treatment and result from this past visit I cannot justify returning. While the work that each associate does is beautiful, please be careful when visiting. read more

Out of all the places I've gone to, Five Star Nails has been the best at providing customer service for their customers and making sure that they tend to their every needs. I had my nails done here for the first time and they were so specific with the details when I showed them a picture, and it has left me utterly speechless! They spent a good amount of time on each of their customers and the results are amazing! I, honestly, was very impressed not only by her speedy response to my posting but also her willingness to do right by the customer. I was in communication with her directly through text and scheduled an appointment for my mother and I to get pedicures and manicures, for my mom only....I went in for them to clean up around the cuticles and fill my nails. The manager was very hospitable and did everything in her power to make the experience enjoyable and memorable, awesome service! I was scheduled to be with Kayla and she did an amazing job. I know Jennifer would have too () The pedicure I chose was the Happy Pedicure and that package had the works!! They gave a deep tissue massage, wax paraffin, and it made me feel like a queen! I also had an adorable design done on both of my big toes. Kayla cleaned up my cuticles and filled my acrylics and they look wonderful! I will definitely continue to come back to this salon. My mother and I used to frequent this location back when they were Venetian Nail Salon a few years ago. This establishment has definitely come a long way in the services they offer their clients and the work stations they have. I went in as a walk in client for a new full set of acrylics with gel. The wait time was minimal, for a walk in. I do not recall the woman's name who ended up doing my nails, but she was very friendly at the first encounter. She explained that the design I wanted would be easier to accomplish if I received a new full set and I was onboard. She took out a fake nail and proceeded to separate my already paper thin nail from the existing acrylic. While working on my nails she asked me in excess of 4 times whether or not I wanted her to apply fake nails because "it would be better for me" and "she wants to do right by the customer." I declined each time she asked explaining, each time, how I have had those before and preferred to keep my personal nail instead. My answer seemed to have upset her as she proceeded to seemingly rip through my nails and the acrylic top coats, which during this process managed to brake every single one of my actual nails. The pictures of my nails at this point are attached. I was completely shocked, disheartened and utterly speechless. I immediately regretted making the decision to get my nails done here. I questioned why she didn't utilize the process of soaking the acrylic off with acetone, as every other nail salon I have visited uses this method....and none have ever yielded these kind of results with my nails before. She explained that she could have but "your hand is too dry." Not knowing what to say I started to text my mother asking for advice as to how I should proceed. I sent her photos of the condition of my nails. I believe at this point the worker could sense my panic and stated she could put fake nails on if I wanted or she could try and "rebuild" the nails. The results of the nails I have now are beautiful; however, that isn't my concern. My concern is both the physical and emotional discomfort I, the customer, experienced throughout this whole ordeal. The word most utilized when referring to getting one's nails done is "pampering," this experience was everything but. This was the fastest gel manicure I have ever had and it showed. I was in and out in under 20 minutes. I was in Windermere visiting my daughter. Had we not been going on a trip the next day, I would have gone in to have them redone. The shop was not busy but the lady who did my nails was in such a hurry. I went to get my eyebrows waxed here and they did a great job. The price was fair. The reason I'm rating so low is because the lady who was doing my wax lectured me about my nails and makeup and how boys only care about looks at first glance. I understand the need to upsell and to ask if I want my nails done too but if I respectfully decline I don't want to be put in the uncomfortable situation of being lectured about my looks. Went here once and they did an okay job so decided to try them again today. I called this morning to see what their hours were for the holiday. The woman on the phone told me they were open until 7:30pm tonight which was great! I planned my whole day around getting a manicure at 4pm. I asked the woman if I could just walk in and she said yes. When I showed up at 4pm, they turned me away and told me they were closing at 4 due to the holiday. I totally get that a business is either going to either close completely or close early for labor day- but when you call in the morning to ask about it, you know in the morning whether or not you're closing early. My guess is they weren't busy and decided to close early last minute. When I told the girl I called early to ask- she really had nothing to say. Terrible customer service. Went for gel nails and was talked into a "better for you" gel option. They dip your nails into powder then apply the gel topping to it. Total price with tip and mani/pedi $65!! In less than a week three polishes completely peeled off. Don't let them talk you into it. Won't be returning. read more

I went into the salon, showed them my nails, told them what was on them and what I wanted. They initially said $35. They then proceeded to buff off the color on three nails after which they said it would be $45. Then after removing all the color and one nail, others covered in acetone, they again repeated exactly what I requested and said it would be $50. The lady that had been responding said 'only this time'. It will be $35 next time and they can't charge differently since they are not the owner. I replied that I would only be visiting this one time, but since I cannot go to work like this I guess I will pay. The person doing my nails then almost applied the wrong product. After being advised of this by me, they then said she couldn't do what I had asked for (pink and white acrylic) and transferred me to someone else. At this point, I told them never mind, just finish removing then and apply clear polish. They ended up charging me $15 just to remove the previous nail product. I was very upset the price kept changing the more they worked on them, leaving me no choice but to continue. If I had been told upfront I would have left initially, no problem. I went to this salon recently because it looked nice and was close to my home. I was very pleasantly surprised by the wonderful care and service I received. The staff was fantastic. They were very friendly. They talked to me when I felt like talking and were quiet when I just wanted to enjoy the bliss of the leg and foot massage. I thought the prices were very competitive and even a little cheaper than some of the other salons in the area. Kayla was my nail technician and she was extremely friendly and competent. My foot and leg massage was dreamy. I was almost ready to fall asleep because I was so relaxed by the time she was ready to put on my polish.
