The workers are rude you can tell they hate their life and treat customers bad. The place is dirty they upgraded their check-out counter because half the time the credit card machine was broke. The deli mainly the guy with no teeth is lazy. I was the only one there and he ignored me. The old lady with black hair been there for many years very rude and unprofessional. Walked in, saw pork loins for $1.79/lb. Had to walk out for about 15 minutes. In that short time the price was changed to $2.29/lb. They previously had some pieces for around $13. They were now $25 average! I'm sorry, that math doesn't compute. I'm gonna have to bring a scale next time I go in there. So I spent $9 on a couple needed things...I'll do my weekly shopping elsewhere. read more

New to Knox and we had to find a grocery store fast. We were surprised at the expansive meat section and store prepared deli foods. Excellent prices and product selection. I bought a pair of reading glasses for a buck! We're going to keep shopping here and want you to support local businesses. read more

Moldy vegetables. Expired dairy. Horrible smell. Terrible prices. Literally had a pineapple with a rotten spot as big as my fist with bugs flying out of it. Another time rotten tomatoes. Needs a total clean up. The meat counter foods looks scary. I asked to use the rest room, & everything was broken, the toilet was barley attached to the floor. all the cahier stations were duck taped together, & out of date. read more

Great little grocery store that is not a big chain. It had almost every thing we needed for a long weekend at the lake. Prices are marked up about 50 percent over what we pay in the big cities. I was there June 21 after picking out my mother's head stone. Checking out they didn't have anyone bagging so my husband helped with some. We bought 20.00 worth of steaks to share with my family. We got back to kingsford hrs and realized we had no steaks. I called the store and they said they were there and we could pick them up. I explained we were leaving to go home to illinois and can't do that. I asked them to credit card and the manager said they do not do that. After another call back he said they would mail me a check! OVERPRICED!!! The fruit is always horrible and grey looking. Soda is expensive aside from the off week sale, and they're always out of silk milk. I've seen grey bacon marked down and expired but still on the shelf. Small selection and very under kept. Cashiers are generally nice and friendly as well as the staff. This establishment survives solely due to it's existence as the only non-discount brand (i.e. - Save-a-lot, Aldie's type) in town. Staffing and cleanliness are kept at a bare minimum. Outdated food is a regular occurrence, so much so that shoppers must approach with a (buyer's beware) outlook. I am shopping here for just under 20 years. Best prices in the area for meat, vegetables and fruits. I think they are privately owned by people from the area, I am guessing. I just like the prices and quality of food. Can't compare with big city stores, but it is just right for us here. I do not buy much of canned or factory processed and packaged food, so if there would be some outdated it doesn't matter. We moved here from a metropolitan big city with stores gleaming and overflowing with everything. For me this place is just wright. read more
