Five Star Sushi is surprisingly great takeout. The first time I tried it I've been a fan leading me to return multiple times. I can't speak on their service or ambiance because I haven't sat down for a meal yet. I'm a tough customer to please let alone repeat when it comes to sushi and I've been here 3 times this month. If 5 Star Sushi upgraded its takeout packaging in between styrofoam (current) and LA Sugarfish bento takeout box I would order this ALL THE TIME. My favorite roll is the Five Stars Roll. I am a Fan.

Outstanding Performance by the sushi chef. He was on point and very creative with his presentation HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT

Used to be Nick's Sushi (think that was the name) but new owners/managers - they have a much cooler interior decor with rad Japanese posters. Also presentation of the sushi is pretty awesome. A variety of rolls. Prompt service. They should offer a tamago (egg) roll however. Highly recommended nonetheless!

This sushi restaurant is easy to miss or look over but I advise you to give it a try. Small, locally owned, but they know what they are doing. There are a lot of different options on the menu from cooked rolls, fried rolls, to stir fry, and more.

I really Love this place. It's some of the best sushi places in the area. The sushi combinations they make are sooo good.

This was an amazing find!! The food was affordable, delicious, and played beautifully. The service was great- everyone was so sweet! 100/10 can't wait to make this place a staple in our home. EDIT: I was in such a good mood after this wonderful meal and became a FINACE tonight!

Review for Five Star Sushi: I recently had the pleasure of dining at Five Star Sushi, and I must say, it truly lives up to its name. From the moment I stepped foot into the restaurant, I was impressed by the overall experience. The sushi at Five Star Sushi is simply outstanding. Each roll was expertly crafted with the freshest ingredients, and the flavors were perfectly balanced. Whether you're a fan of traditional favorites like the California Roll or more adventurous options like the Dragon Roll, Five Star Sushi has something to satisfy every palate. One aspect that truly stood out was the impeccable service. The staff members were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They were prompt in taking our orders and made sure that we had everything we needed throughout the meal. It's evident that the staff at Five Star Sushi genuinely cares about providing a memorable dining experience. The ambience of Five Star Sushi struck a perfect balance between casual and upscale. The restaurant exudes an inviting and relaxed atmosphere, making it an ideal place for a dinner outing. The decor was tastefully done, creating a pleasant environment to enjoy a meal with friends, family, or even for a romantic evening. Overall, Five Star Sushi exceeded my expectations in every way. The quality of the sushi, combined with the exceptional service and inviting ambience, makes it a top-notch dining establishment. Whether you're a sushi aficionado or trying it for the first time, Five Star Sushi is a must-visit destination. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a memorable sushi experience. In a side note, they also have many dishes other than sushi. Everything was wonderful.

The Pad Thai & honey chicken. 10/10

The pad Thai was amazing! It was full of flavor and not too spicy (but they had a hot chili paste.) The honey chicken was crispy and sweet so yummy !

Appreciated its monthly sushi specials. Despite being a Saturday, the restaurant was not busy. The owner always comes out to check on us which is very nice.

    Fried Gyoza

I just had the miso soup, gyoza, pad Thai noddles (shrimp), and shrimp tempura roll (#71). The miso was included and was brought out immediately with my drink. The soup is super flavorful. This location doesn't give out disposable chopsticks, instead you get red plastic ones as shown. The gyoza are pretty standard as far as fried gyoza goes around OKC. The pad Thai was delicious and plentiful! If you like they also make it spicy for you. The roll was exactly what you expect from a shrimp tempura roll and was plated beautifully. I got all the above for $32 and some change and had to take half of it to-go. The waitresses are very accommodating and quick.

If I can convince my wife to try something called the "Naughty Girl Roll"... you already know we're off to a strong start From the moment we walked in, the vibe was exactly what you want in a sushi spot--comfortable, relaxed, and not trying too hard to be something it's not. Just good energy and a place you can actually enjoy your meal. Our server Juan? Spot on. Attentive without hovering, checked in at all the right times, and kept things moving smoothly. Let's Talk Food Naughty Girl Roll This is the one. Tempura shrimp, avocado, and cream cheese, topped with baked salmon, spicy mayo, sweet sauce, masala, and scallions. Rich? Yes. Over-the-top? Maybe. Worth it? Absolutely. This is the roll you order when you want to convert someone into a sushi fan. Ikura (Salmon Roe) This one was all mine--and that's probably for the best. If you're into that briny pop and clean ocean flavor, this hits. If not... no shame in sitting this one out. Norwegian Mackerel A really well-balanced dish. Cooked just right, paired with bok choy, shiitake mushrooms, and white rice. Clean, flavorful, and a nice break from the heavier rolls. Bento Box My wife's choice--and honestly, a smart one. If you're not feeling adventurous, this gives you variety without stepping too far outside your comfort zone. Without asking we were silently given a bottle of what's supposed to be labeled as siracha sauce but it wasn't. I tried it thinking maybe it was a creamy siracha sauce they had, but there was no spice. I asked the waitress what it was and she said it was Yum Yum sauce they put into the bottle. This is NOT okay to do, especially if someone has an allergy. And it doesn't tell the customer if it's still fresh since it's been moved to a mislabeled bottle. It's very important for staff and customers to know the expiration date and ingredients of a product. I saw they had multiple bottles of the replaced sauce. While using the restroom the toilet paper holder didn't have its front lid so trying to get the paper made it roll out every time and I had to hold it down. And the toilet itself was loose. Sitting down and getting up made it move. The sink faucet was very grimy with dried water. The good: Waitress was nice. Food was tasty, save for the egg rolls which didn't have much flavor but were decent.

The prices shown for sushi is very affordable which I think the business would do very well if they were clean and did things a bit differently. I feel gross after eating here. I am a huge supporter of local business but I would much rather eat at a place where the food is priced a bit more and prepared cleanly. I'm assuming the gentleman here is the owner. He runs the business all by himself with no help. It was very slow! While we were waiting for our five rolls to be made, I watched another couple walked in and sat themselves. Then, a USP man comes in with a package. I watched as the owner took off his gloves, grab the package, put it down, grabbed the old gloves and put them back on to prepare our food. Wow!!!! I was immediately shocked. I looked over and my husband was tending to my son who is getting bored at how long it's taking. The couple was now agitated and getting impatient that they were not helped yet. What I regret not doing is speaking up at that moment that we are going to leave and not eat there after seeing how he did not wash his hands!!!! I'm so disappointed. I took my son to the restroom to wash his hands after changing his diaper and there was no soap! The Softsoap bottle sitting on the sink was almost empty. I reached to pump it and it was filled with water. What is the owner of washing his hands with?! Is there a secret bottle in his kitchen? We are in a pandemic! Even if we weren't, I would want to know someone is washing their hands before they prepare my food, after they use the restroom, AND while making my food especially after they handle a package. We order and eat out on a regular basis and I know there are things we don't know nor see but to witness it firsthand and see it for myself, I'm honestly grossed out. I wish this man the best for his business but as a customer I will not return based on my personal experience.
