The beautiful surroundings and the inn had a charming, vintage, and cozy touch that made us excited to stay. The owner greeted us warmly, and we appreciated the hospitality after driving all day from San Diego. The room was beautifully decorated, and the bed was extremely comfortable. We were able to take an evening swim before settling down for the night. When we woke up, we had breakfast right outside our room in a lovely setup with a garden atmosphere. I appreciated that they accommodated my diet and were more than happy to substitute food options to make me feel welcome. My husband and I decided right then and there that we'd be back for another stay and hopefully a longer one. I'd definitely recommend this place for a nice getaway from the city to relax and unwind. From the moment we rolled in, we relaxed our breath into the cradling caring arms of Cyndi's Snowline Lodge. Natural darkness descending around us- Robert was quick to invite us into the warmly lit communal lodge area, which was brimming with personality. He showed us a fun silverware balancing bar trick, while Lucky the dog, looked on with heavy lidded amusement. We were the only ones staying at the lodge that night. Our room was darling and clean and smelled fresh. The wi-fi was working well. We slept unbelievably well. Showering was a dream in the morning with strong hot water pressure. Cindi brought us up fresh squeezed orange juice and invited us down for a hot lovingly made breakfast spread - which included hot waffles, scrambled eggs, bacon, and light potatoes. We also indulged in wondrous coffee and an impressive selection of tea. Cindy even had Pink Himalayan Salt on hand for us to adorn our food - which we indulged in both there and on our backpacking adventure. Cyndi and the rest of the loving folk who help run this charming lodge take immense care and pride in making sure that all those who stay here feel welcomed and taken care of. They go out of their way to make everyone's stay both memorable and comfortable. We can't wait to come back to Cyndi's Snowline Lodge. Trust.

I knew it was an older lodge , but expected cleanliness and comfort and this place couldn't even check those boxes for us. Upon entering the room there was a huge stain on the nasty green carpet, someone else's shoe under our bed, thick dust on headboard and baseboards, insulation falling from ceiling in bathroom, dirty walls, hairs embedded in sheets, black mold in shower and pubic hair on bathroom floor. We immediately went downstairs to the desk and asked to check out the very next morning, we had to cut our trip short due to these horrific conditions of our room which meant a lot of travel time for us and us missing out on seeing the park. This lodge is located in a prime location with a beautiful river running right behind it. It's too bad they don't do some much needed renovations on the lodge rooms. The service at lodge restaurant was extremely slow but tasted decent. This place was a huge disappointment and I would give zero stars if possible.

We were warmly greeted by Kim, who guided us through everything we needed from the moment we arrived. The property has several cabins and yurts. The cabins are equipped with full kitchens and each one has its own unique charm. There's also a great common hangout area with a piano, fireplace, bar, disco lights, couches, and high tables; perfect for relaxing or spending time with the group. A shared kitchen is also available with full cooking capabilities. If you're staying in the yurts, restrooms and showers are conveniently located nearby. The grounds are spacious and peaceful, ideal for daily walks, relaxing in a hammock, or heading up a bit to enjoy the swings and take in the sunset. One weekend truly wasn't enough to explore and appreciate everything this place has to offer. Plus, it's only a short drive from the Sequoia Park entrance, which makes it even better. My only suggestion would be to provide a detailed list of what each cabin includes: kitchen tools, bathroom essentials, and bedroom items so guests can pack accordingly.

We love staying a little off the beaten path when road-tripping to national parks, especially…read moreplaces where we can cook and spread out. Traveling with three kids and a dog, we also need space and at least two bathrooms, and this place delivered for first visit to Sequoia/Kings Canyon. This location is closest to the Kings Canyon entrance, and the drive is beautiful. If you're visiting in winter, just be prepared. After December, the highway into the park can close due to weather -- this happened to us for a couple of days - snowed before followed rain. The alternate route is possible but very long. We stayed four days and had flexibility, but definitely bring chains if you're visiting in winter. The property has RV spots and rental homes. We stayed in a three-bedroom house with 2 baths with 5 people (and a small dog) for 5 days/4 nights for New Year's and had plenty of space. The home was comfortable, with a full kitchen and included a gas BBQ, dishes, and cookware. A few small things would make it even better: more kitchen utensils and serving plates/bowls, plus extra towels. We were a family of five with a dog visiting during very rainy weather, and towels went fast. It would also be more convenient if the washer/dryer were in the unit instead of shared at the office/library. Important tip: bring all your food and drinks with you. There is no store or grocery nearby, and this is not a "pick it up down the road" situation. The closest grocery stores are in Woodlake or Visalia, about a 45-minute drive EACH WAY. Bee stopped in Visalia on the way in at Winco to buy food. The internet was surprisingly excellent -- fast and reliable. We also loved the wildlife around the property. We saw lots of animals, but especially enjoyed the friendly cats that stopped by and the silly quails wandering around. Overall, this is a peaceful, family- and dog-friendly place with a lot of character. If you're looking for a quiet home base near Kings Canyon and Sequoia and don't mind being remote, we'd definitely recommend it and would stay here again.
