No worry, total cost to replace should be $50-200. Only, he meant $527. I laughed. He tried to tell me it's convenience, it's top quality. I wasn't laughing anymore. We saw an advertisement for a Furnace cleaning and tune-up on a local TV station and we had not had our system cleaned for a couple of years. The tech arrived promptly and began servicing the equipment. After a few minutes he came and informed me there were some issues and some of them major. He showed me several things, and not knowing anything about the inner workings of the Furnace it was all confusing. He informed me basically the Furnace needed to be replaced because of several items which were health and safety items. I inquired as to the basic cost for replacement. He did not do quotes and contacted his supervisor who indicted he could be at our house in a relatively short time. The sales person arrived before the tech finished putting the system back together. He created a quote. The prices quoted we for two different options. One just under $10,000 and the other over $12,000. I informed him we had a whole home warranty and I would reach out to them to start a claim. Upon starting a claim, our warranty company sent a inspector/Technician to look at the Furnace and give them an evaluation for replacement. The warranty company person arrived on Monday 10/21. He did a long and thorough inspection. He had me cone and look at the things he was encountering during his inspection. He showed me the heat exchanger and show it was rusty but couldn't find any cracks using his CO detector or visual inspection. He did see the exhaust fan had been recently unconected from the exaust pipe. We were informed both of the motors the origional tech indicated were bad, were operation properly. He did checks of the voltage and draw. He did a check for CO gas around our house because the FixIt 24/7 technician had written in his evaluation the heat exchanger was cracked and if so, it would be leaking CO gas in our house. He check vents on all floors and was unable to detect any gas in the system. In conclusion, we were informed even though our Furnace is older, it was still functioning properly and he could not in goid conscience recommend replacing it at this time. He did relay, with the age of the unit we should have it checked annually to make sure it remains safe. In conclusion, It appears to us that Fixit 24/7 was attempting to make a sale based on a fear tactic and not that the unit itself was not functioning properly. We were happy the Inspector/ Technician had good ethics and saved us from purchasing a Furnace that was not needed at this time. read more

HORRIBLE customer service. We scheduled a tune up for our A/C and were told first available was 4 weeks out. Fine. Our day arrived and they cancelled us after we had been waiting an hour and a half. We rescheduled for the next week, 8-12 window. At 12:00 we called them because no one had shown up or called. They said our guy was close by and would be there in 30 minutes. 90 minutes later still no show, no call. We called them and the lady on the phone told us that they were only servicing the elderly or families with young children. WHAT? Does she know our family status or age? NO! We have a service agreement with this company. when our A/C wasn't working properly yesterday, we called 1st thing in the morning and got an appt for sometime between 2 & 6 pm same day. Not terrible you would think--until they called us at 5:45 pm and asked if we still wanted them to come out. We were then informed that the technician would be on his way....and he didn't arrive out 7:15. Then shortly after he showed up, we got a call from a different technician saying he was here and asking us to let him in the gate--we don't have a gate. I am writing to address unresolved service issues and request a resolution. I have previously appreciated your prompt service; however, my recent experiences have been highly disappointing. I have given high marks for this company in the past, as they maintained my old furnace for several years until I had to replace it in January/February 2023. With the furnace purchase, it came with free maintenance, supposedly. Then, I purchased a 50-gallon water heater and had some other plumbing work done around March 2024. I purchased what was called a green membership that supposedly put me in front of the line. Supposedly. I've been calling since October for furnace maintenance. Even after mentioning that I had the green membership, I was told it would be January 22. This is unacceptable. I informed them that my son, who is in the USAF, would be home on leave in December and sleeps downstairs where it is quite chilly at night, thus the request for the furnace maintenance that supposedly comes with the purchase. Ok, someone would call to schedule. They did not. Gary texted me, telling me that they tried to call me several times. This is untrue. I have all calls in history and there are no calls from 24/7 Fixit. I've called and texted multiple times over the past four months and have screenshots of multiple calls I've made with no calls from them. I've got the texts as well, back and forth, with empty promises. Being told one thing or another and never getting maintenance scheduled. I requested to be credited for the monthly fee that is automatically taken out of my bank for the front of the line green membership, now totaling $60, and to cancel it since November. It was canceled after the payment in January but no credit for me paying for nothing. As of February 16, 2025, everything is just left up in the air. I requested that the customer service manager contact me on January 16. Gary said he'd pass that on to the customer service manager. It's February 6 and there has been no response. The last contact I made was January 31, with a lot of apologies and understanding of my frustration, and someone would be with me asap to get that furnace maintenance scheduled and I'll be credited for what I've paid for the sham green membership from October to present. Now there is no response. From the lack of professionalism exhibited over the last four months of not being able to schedule a simple furnace maintenance, compared to the prompt and easy scheduling they used to have since 2017/2018 when I started using their services, it's night and day. It's been a year since March when the water heater was installed. Where am I supposed to go for a water flush that's supposed to be included with the installation? My family's comfort and well-being are affected. I request an immediate resolution and a credit for the last four months of the "front of the line green membership." DON'T BOTHER! Appointment was requested on Oct. 7th and scheduled for Monday, Oct. 21st. I received a text today, Oct. 21st at 10:10 AM, just 10 minutes into the 4 hour window of 10 AM to 2 PM stating that tech would be unable to perform the service today and that I need to call and reschedule. I called immediately and told them I took time off from work for this service, to which they offered a $50 credit to my account and a reschedule date of Nov. 22. I told them that this was unacceptable and that I saw this advertisement on TV multiple times where Tom Martino gives them the thumbs up for outstanding service and cost. Having had a good experience in the past with a furnace issue, I called them earlier this week for a plumbing issue and feel like I have been taken advantage of. I won't use their service again. My pipes were gurgling so I called and they sent Brandon alongside his apprentice, who diagnosed an issue in my sewer line. They didn't have the equipment necessary who they called Josh who came in with a snake and a camera to scope out the sewer line and identify a blockage that they couldn't clear. Following that, Josh told me I absolutely needed a sewer line spot repair asap otherwise it would back up I to the house, thankfully they would be able to move things around and quoted me $7500 to have someone come here the very next day and fix the issue. At that point it was late in the day and the prospect of not being able to shower or use the toilet was daunting so I trusted his diagnosis and agreed. The next day a crew of 4 showed up and started digging and replaced a small section of the sewer line, at which point they scoped the rest of the line and pointed out some root intrusions in the rest of the line and that I really should get the whole line changed, if not now then in the next few months, because it was in really bad shape. I asked Josh for a quote, and he gave me two quotes: it would be an additional 3500 to replace the rest of the section under the front yard which was "in really bad shape", and an additional 25500 to replace the whole line from the house to the city's sewer line. At that point there was already a huge dig in my front yard and they had the excavator on site, and I had Josh telling me that the could fill the hole but that replacing that other section under the front yard which was "in a really bad state" would be another 7500 if they left and came back, so I caved and agreed to paying the additional 3500 for them to replace it. But asked for them to give me some time to think about the whole sewer line replacement, to which he said I could tell him the next day at the latest. The following day I called a couple other companies to get a second opinion, and both told me the same thing: there were minimal root intrusions of no concern, that is normal, and I should be fine doing annual or semi-annual maintenance, and with that the sewer line should be good for another 10 years at least. They also both quoted me a price way lower than 10500 for the section that was replaced. I reached out to fix-it 24/7 and will update this review when I hear back from their management, but needless to say I'm pretty angry about this whole situation. --- Update: I talked to Dustin who pretty much spent 10 minutes telling me that I was wrong and that he stood by his team's quote. RUN--DO NOT WALK AWAY FROM THIS PITIFUL EXCUSE OF A COMPANY!!! My furnace went out 2 weeks ago during our coldest temperatures this year. I remembered the ads for Fix-It 24/7 and was relieved that they were able to install a furnace that day. I also purchased a water heater and A/C unit which were installed the following day. I was told the installers would arrive around 9:30 am that second day. I received a call at 10 am informing me that the proper water heater had not been available and they would be going to another warehouse and would arrive at my home within an hour. They arrived around 12:30 pm. They worked until about 5:00 pm and declared the install complete. I got the fastest run-through of instructions for the thermostat. Keep in mind it was after 5 pm! QUITTING TIME! The next morning (when it was light) I went out to check out the A/C. I found my breaker box open and unlocked! I found the wall my thermostat was installed on a total mess! It looked like someone had smeared mud all over. The next week, the city inspector came out. What a surprise, the inspection FAILED! They hadn't upgraded the breaker for the A/C. One of their electricians came out and fixed the breaker. He also fixed some issues with the furnace that the installers had failed to do properly. The following week, the Install Supervisor was supposed to call me to hear my complaints about their shoddy workmanship. HE NEVER CALLED!!!! I was notified only 1/2 hour prior to the second visit by the city inspector! They had not bothered to let me know what they had scheduled in advance. What a waste of time for the inspector had I not been home. He was lucky I happened to be home! Again, shoddy work! For the second time, the inspection FAILED! The inspector told me they had failed to fix a problem on his report!!! He told me this was something that would cause serious damage if not corrected!!!!!! So, once again (third time), I have to stay home to wait for the city inspector!!! How inefficient and careless are these people???????? A person from the company called me about the issues and glossed over them like it was no big deal. I paid a lot of money for these appliances to be installed. I hired them since they were associated with Home Depot for furnace maintenance and repairs - thinking this should be okay if they are associated with Home Depot as I've had bad luck with contractors before. Their repairs and their workmanship caused more problems for my furnace including three months later, a no longer a working furnace. Here are photos of their work since I had to call someone else to come fix it. They taped metal to metal, caused a burn through the printed wiring board, and also a hazard for a potential house fire as it shorted and burned through. I called them when things stopped working and their 24/7 policy is not accurate, nor did they offer any compensation or refund for this. They don't stand by any of their guarantees. They will force you into a price by threatening to leave and it not being locked in, they will "call" their supervisor and knock off 2K because they are so nice, they will show you a thermal scan of your electric panel and say it is hot.. that is just the hot wire lol ... I have lived in my house 20 years. I walked into my mechanical room on Friday afternoon and saw water dripping out of my water heater. It was like drip drip drip. I called 3 companies to try and get some immediate service because my duct tape treatment was not working. I could not get anyone to call me back, except Kyle at Fix-it 24/7. She was the kindest person. She Dispatched Martin, who got there in like 2 hours (excellent response time). Martin was kind, knowledgeable and professional. He came in, we diagnosed the immediate problem and he put the Band Aid fix on it. He explained everything to me in a manner that I could understand (I am an Engineer, not a plumber - I know my limitations). I called my two brothers (both are builders in Detroit and Kentucky) - I sent them pictures of the water heaters and both of them said "time to replace". My two brothers gave me prices to expect. Josh from Fix it 24-7, came over on Saturday. He and I reviewed everything, he gave me the price and it was literally within 2% of the price my two brothers told me to expect. Josh (like Martin) was very knowledgeable and very professional. Fix it 24/7 is going to do the work that I need done. I am very confident in them. Best experience ever. By the way, this is not my first rodeo, I have had water damage in the past. If you don't get your stuff inspected and serviced, it will cost you much much more than getting a talented reputable plumber. When I found out they were sending the same technician that had already misdiagnosed the system I refused and was told them it would be Monday so I called a different company that made a 5 minute diagnoses that my compressor was dead and had the whole system replaced next day. I would strongly recommend looking for another company, my experience with this company was all around bad. They gave me a window from 10am to noon when 1pm rolled around I had to text them to see what was up. I was told that another tech would be assigned to me and they are about an hour out. The tech finally arrived at my house at 4:30pm and wasn't able to repair it do to it's age, he didn't have an igniter and said they are extremely hard to come by, after he left I found the igniter on Amazon. He informed me that it would be a good idea to think about replacement. WOW, I should have come here. First, 2 stars is an achievement of the worst kind.... I called Fix It 24/7 due to a circuit popping and shutting off the power, which included the sump pump and hot water heater. I had a lengthy call at 1:30 with the person who answered the issue. The call was odd. She said the person would call 30 minutes IF they were coming out. I stopped her and clarified twice, are you saying they might come out, or are they coming out? Both times she said the repair person was at another location and was definitely coming to our house when they finished. I called back at 3 and had the same conversation, and I was ASSURED they would be there as soon as the current job was finished. My husband then asked the person if we needed an electrician or a plumber. They agreed on a plumber, and she once again ASSURED him that they were on their way as soon as the current job was wrapped up. The woman was completely inconvenienced and asked that I give them more time "because of all the storms in the area." There has not been a storm in over a week. My elderly mother-law was paying monthly for them to clean and inspect the furnace and a/c unit. Last year they told her she needed a $2,600 repair to the furnace which she did. This year they said her furnace was leaking and the parts they replaced the year before were worn again due to the furnaces age and over working. I called for the advertised $89 special whole house inspection that included furnace cleaning, water heater flush, plumbing inspection, electrical inspection, and energy audit. The furnace cleaning appeared to be done fairly thoroughly -- although they did not vacuum it out like other companies have done. Much of the work was done by a trainee. The plumber, Kelton, who came to do the water heater flush refused to do it stating it might not work after he flushes it and recommended getting a new one ASAP and that he would get me on the schedule with a sales rep -- how convenient for him. So both the furnace and water heater inspection "reports' where nothing more than part of up-sale attempts to get me to join a membership and do very costly new installations. They also said I would have to be a member for $29 a month to get the rest of the inspections (electrical and energy audit). I guess I will miss out on two more dishonest attempts to sell me more stuff! Very dishonest work, and deceptive advertising. read more

Called them over the weekend, said they would come Monday. No response and heads up that they couldn't make it until I called them. Said they would be out the next morning. It's now almost 6 PM and no one. Not sure why they advertise as 24/7 and being fast when they aren't. read more
