Fix It Guy LLC, which is owned by a man named Justin Oriel, apparently is quite crooked. Most recently, it charged my credit card an inflated amount without sending me an invoice and has not responded to my multiple calls and emails. I have since learned from the Better Business Bureau web site that Fix It Guy LLC is "NOT BBB Accredited" because of its failure to respond to complaints filed against the business. The problems started last Fall when I asked Fix It Guy to fix a dysfunctional ice-maker in my Liebherr refrigerator - which was otherwise working perfectly well. Now, after multiple false assurances, misdiagnoses, attempted fixes, apparent incompetence and fraudulent charges to my credit card totaling $948.05, the refrigerator is totally messed up and has to be replaced for the ADDITIONAL cost of $4127.06. read more

I have had a technician from Fix it guy trying to fix my Liebherr fridge for three times with no result in one month. Last time I called the Service Manager Kevin on 9/20/2024, he said that they were refusing me further service .... I paid $230 for NOT having the fridge fixed, although I was told there was a 90 day warranty to repair the fridge. He also said that he was going to reach out to Liebherr directly, but I haven't heard back since then, nor is he returning my phone calls and email. read more

The entire experience was miserable. I do not recommend this company. Recent wine cooler install in Cambridge. The morning of the install, John called to say he'd arrive in 20 minutes. I replied that it would take me 30 minutes to get there and to please wait for me outside. I followed up with a text with my actual ETA and asked again that he wait outside for me to arrive. John arrived, rang the bell, and the homeowner, taken by surprise, let him in. John had removed the old cooler by the time I arrived. I met him at his truck. I asked him why he had not waited for me. He replied he was very busy, he's not an idiot, why am I hassling him, and that I have no idea how hard it is to do this job alone. He brought the new cooler in, didn't use drop cloths, and gouged the floor as he dragged it across. The homeowner gasped. John threw up his hands, said I guess you're going to blame me for all the scratches and said, I'm outta here. John left. When I called the service coordinator Kevin and explained what had happened, no apology or explanation was given, instead I was quizzed over the size and origin of the scratches. I then reached out to the owner of Mr Fix It Guy for help. It has been two weeks and I have not had a response from him. I do not recommend this company. read more

I came home to find my Sub-Zero refrigerator not cold (on the refrigerator side only). I removed all the food to another fridge at a different location and then started to call Sub-Zero repair places. I called Fix-It Guy Appliance & Repair and spoke with Chelby. She was wonderful and set me up an appointment for the following morning. The tech called ahead to let me know his time of arrival and was on time. He attributed the issue to the compressor fan, ordered & replaced it. I was subsequently charged approx... $460.00 for the part, labor and service fee. The part arrived about one week later, he came and installed it and said to call him tomorrow if it was still not working. While he was with me, I asked him if he was trained by Sub-Zero and he said "no" "these are easy to work on" and "most of his training was by watching and being self-taught." Next morning, it was still not cold. I called Fix-It Guy Appliance & Repair and the tech returned that morning. This time he claimed it was the actual compressor that is bad. (apparently, the compressor fan wasn't the issue) The office called me with a quote for the part and installation of $2,200.00 and stated another company must move the refrigerator out from its built-in location so the tech can install the compressor, and then move it back in place. For that, I was given an additional price of $1050.00. Now my total is $3,250.00 for the compressor installation which would be in addition to the compressor fan that I already paid for. Not happy with what I was hearing; as I found it "odd" a technician would need someone else to move the refrigerator, I called Sub-Zero myself for a better understanding. I spoke with a woman at Sub-Zero, she pulled up my account on the unit I purchased in 2004. I asked her if my fridge needed to be removed from its built-in location to replace the compressor and if it had to be done by an "outside" company. She stated, "not always". When I explained to her that this is what I was told by Fix-It Guy Appliance & Repair she then stated that "ALL Factory Trained Techs that service Sub-Zero are trained to do this, it's easy." She then offered me two names of Repair Companies that service Sub-Zero within my area. Well, I called JD Appliance in Deerfield, NH and left a message. At 7:45 AM the next day they called me back and came right over at 9:30 that morning. The technician ran some tests with gauges, he agreed it needed a compressor. Then he said there was no need to pull the fridge from its location, he can do it right in place. The total price he gave me was approx. $1,000.00 parts & labor. I gave him a $500.00 deposit and he ordered the part, 4 days later he came back with an OEM Sub-Zero Compressor supplied to him at JD Appliance directly from the Sub-Zero Warehouse. The total final charge including the $169.00 Diagnostic Fee ended up being $950.00 not $3,250.00 Fix-It Guy Appliance & Repair proposed. When I called the office at Fix-It Guy Appliance & Repair to cancel the repair; upon hearing I did not want their services any longer, a man in the office raised his voice and in an abusive manner and tried to make me feel insecure. He stated that "JD Appliance did not know what they were doing". Well, thank you to JD Appliance in Deerfield, NH for their skillful knowledge, speed, integrity of service and pricing! Charged my credit card $230 just to come look at the dishwasher. Two guys were here for 15 minutes, including 1 guy who was walking around with a drill in hand (why do you need a drill to repair a dishwasher?!!). Told me to hire a plumber as the water line was supposedly blocked (not true) and to hire a contractor to come remove the cabinet facing under the dishwasher (I easily removed it). Also said they would call me with parts they would need to order (without knowing the problem). Unhappy with this expensive interaction, I called a repair person who knew what they were doing and the problem was quickly resolved. This is a scam company - do not use them!!! read more

In my opinion they are scammers. They charged me $300 for a reschedule fee for a job that required one man to remove one screw and remove a part. We waited almost 2 months for them to get the part and schedule service and when they showed up with two guys they said they ordered the "wrong" part. The technician removed one screw and took the part so they could order the right part. They are not a trustworthy appliance repair company and do not stand behind common service principles. The initial assessment was that there was a valve that needed to be replaced, and that I would have to wait a month for the part to arrive, this is very understandable, and was not the issue. The issue was after a month (of not being able to clean my clothes) when they had received the valve and came to repair it. They came to my apartment and I showed them to the unit explaining that I would be on a zoom call, but if they needed anything to please not hesitate to ask-- while I was on the zoom call. They emptied my laundry, closet and left everything on the floor. I heard them toss them to the floor without any care for my possessions. And after about 15 minutes, they left my apartment without telling me that they were done for the day, and without cleaning the mess they had made. Furthermore, they left my washing machine and dryer, pulled out of the spot that it normally sat so far that the door would not close. I assume that the unit had been fixed as they had not told me they had any trouble and because I was assured it would be a quick job that they would be in and out. However, unbeknownst to me, they could not fix my washer and left the broken unit in the middle of the hallway and all of my belongings that I had organized in the closet scattered on the floor. They approached me with a very condescending tone, I bring this up now, because up until this point, everything I've said has been factual, and since tone can be interpreted, I'll give the benefit of the doubt that I simply misinterpreted it. The ice maker in our Bertazzoni refrigerator broke last May 2022. Mr Fix it was assigned through our warranty to order and replace the part. They told me it would take several months to get the part. When I called on Tuesday the person I spoke with told me they no longer service Bertazzoni. I asked to speak a manager. I spoke with Kevin, and he said he would call me back in two hours. I wouldn't recommend this business. I called them because my dryer was broken. They were looking at it while I was working from home and brought me some damaged parts and told me it was fixed. They never asked me if they should fix it or gave me pricing. They charged me $450 on my credit card for what looked like $50 worth of items. They never gave me any paperwork, a quote, invoice nothing. They just left and charged the card. I could have bought a new dryer for that price. I wasn't given an option and never authorized any charges on my card. To top it off the dryer is still broken!! It will not work. I called the company and the owner told me he was reaching out to his technician to see if he was in the area. I never heard back from them. I contacted the consumer complaints department and the attorney general. I am waiting for their review currently and will proceed. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. read more

I called them at 8AM and spoke with Shelby, who was so incredibly pleasant and so accommodating. Fix it Guy (so mad I cannot remember his name!) was at my home before 11AM. He was efficient, quick, kind, and very funny, so we actually enjoyed his visit . . . even though he told us our refrigerator compressor was dead and wasn't worth repairing. He gave us really insightful information about purchasing a new one, and after doing some research on our own, we literally went out the next day and bought the one he had suggested. Soonest we could get service through Sub-Zero certified servicer is in 2 months. Referred to Fix It Guy by a certified servicer - that says a lot! Called Fix It Guy, got appointment for next day, team showed up during repair window quoted to me. They repaired the Sub-Zero freezer on the spot and knew exactly what they were doing. This business is unreliable and incompetent. They were assigned to fix the ice maker of my Liebherr fridge, which was covered under warranty. The work order was placed in late August. My ice maker is STILL not fixed. They never call back when they say they will. One time they didn't even show up on the day they said they would. They don't seem to have any idea what they're doing and seemingly have replaced several parts without fixing the problem. They also ordered the wrong part at one point, delaying things by several weeks. They finally gave up and said the ice maker is irreparable and the whole fridge needs to be replaced. They told me they would reach out to Liebherr on my behalf. They never did that and then said they can't reach out to Liebherr at all. I've completely lost patience with this business and would strongly recommend against using this business to fix anything. read more
