Been a patient for over 15 years. Brought my kids in too- especially when they were playing high school sports. I have had a few chiropractors over the decades in other states. I suffered from lower back pain for over ten years. Lowest L5-S1 level where the disc shows signs of early degeneration, it bulges slightly, and a small annular tear. I was desperate to get help. I wanted to avoid steriod injections. Anyway, I came here due to the good reviews. Dr. Hifai seemed convincing and nice. She scanned my back with a device that demonstrated inflammation in the spine. I also told her I had an issue with acid reflux and foot pain. She said she would adjust the areas to help them heal. Upfront, she began to talk about the package deals. Option 1 appeared to be the best choice because of the highest savings. 1 time payment of $2,438 and savings of $430 for 26 visits. She never went over the contract with me and the non-refundable verbiage or what would happen if I decided to cancel. The first day went fine. She massaged my foot and put a cold laser on it, adjusted me, placed me on TENS therapy, used a massager on my back, and had me on a roller table. The 2nd day was the same procedure. However, she forgot about my foot pain. I was not treated for it, and she adjusted me for about a minute. She did not focus on the areas from the previous visit. It was a quick adjustment on my neck and back. She said they had a promo on massages for $39. I got a massage from Dennis, but it was anything from relaxing. I felt a lot of pressure on my upper back that I could feel on my throat. After I got home, I started feeling a stabbing pain on my left arm and tingling. I thought it was normal due to the adjustment and massage. I iced it throughout the day. However, I felt the same stabbing pain late at night, tingling, and numbness as I attempted to sleep. It only happened after moving it in a certain position. I wanted to stop the sessions with Dr. Hifai to avoid any further irritation on my arm. I went to the office the following day to speak with her in person. I explained what happened and wanted to stop any further visits and get refunded. She couldn't remember what adjustments were made. She asked me if she she adjusted my neck. She said she could re-adjust me to heal it. But I didn't want to risk it. After I mentioned the refund again, she began to ignore me. She said she was busy with other patients. She told me to wait in the front office to discuss it, and then she could call me to talk about it. I waited in the front for about 20 minutes. She was done with her two other patients and went to the back to speak with someone on the phone. Avoiding me. After she was done with her phone call, Alex, the receptionist, went to the back to speak with her. Alex said that Dr. Hifai was busy and unavailable, and she would call me by phone. I could tell right away that something was wrong with this place. I drove to urgent care and was there for about an hour. I got pain medication and am waiting to follow up with my primary doctor. I never got a phone call from Dr. Hifai. It was almost 4 pm and nothing. I decided to call her. She stated that she was going to speak with me about the package, but I left. She said that she messaged the billing company about the refund, but she didn't know how the system worked. She didn't know how the payment was made. I couldn't believe it. She said it could take days to hear back. I called the office this morning and spoke with Alex. I requested a cancelation form. I asked her how long it would take to receive the form, and she said it could take one or two days because they were very busy. I was already frustrated at this point. I'm not sure why it should take this long to get a cancelation form via email. Alex said I was being ignorant. I never disrespected her personally or used profanity. I just wanted to get the forms asap. I work for a call center and dealt with frustrated customers all the time. If I called someone ignorant, I'd be written up or fired. Very unprofessional and poor customer service skills. They just kept changing their stories every time I spoke with them. That it was ALL on me for waiting there. Alex said that I signed the contract and that payments are non-fundable. That's ridiculous. I only got treated twice. Charge my account for those two visits and refund the remaining amount. Package nonrefundable deals are bad practices . NEW PATIENTS, please read the contracts carefully. If something would occur where you can't make the visits; you'd be out of luck. Dr. Hifai is so informative, direct , and compassionate when it comes to her patients! She really makes you feel like you are at home. And driving had become so challenging...I was constantly fussing with my seat adjustment trying to get comfortable (to no avail)...and twisting my head left and right was near impossible. Came here to see Dr. Hifai because of back pains. When I first walked into the office, I was greeted by the front desk. Checked in and waited in the waiting room. My appt was at 1030 but was seen exactly at 1045. They are gonna point out if you are two minutes late, which I overhead them talk to one of their patients when she came in a couple mins late for her session. When the doctor took me into her office, she went over what I was experiencing. She even did a muscle test on me and compared a "normal" muscle chart to my "actual" muscle chart which I thought was pretty helpful. She then had me do a water massage and heat pad massage before she could do work on my lower back. I thought the massages were pretty soothing and relaxing. After, Dr. Hifai did a few work on my back and neck. I could hear my body crack but it WAS NOT PAINFUL at all. If anything, it helped relieve the pain I was experiencing. She applied Biofreeze after she was done so that I don't feel too much soreness the following day. I highly recommend her. I started coming here during COVID and have really enjoyed my experience. They are very safe and always on time, I have rarely had to wait. They offer a lot of different appointment times, even on Saturdays, which is great. Dr. Hifai is very knowledgeable and offers advice/exercises to perform outside of the office as well. I have my second appointment this afternoon. The treatment was nice. I'm looking for a permanent fix but doubt there is such a thing. Such a relaxing atmosphere. The treatment is high class. Complimentary Tea in the lounge and Candy surrounded by tempting delights for the body for sale that include massage oils, body lotion, and scented candles. I went in for my first ever Chiropractor visit. Although my back isn't permanently in tip-top condition, I felt better after the first visit. First part of my visit I got a tension level assessment done on my back to determine the proper treatment for my case. Part of the visit included 2 kinds of relaxing and soothing massages to stretch out the spine and melt tension away. I like coming to Dr. Hifia. She is very nice and professional. She made my first time very comfortable and thought me a few things about the human body. I now see here every other month and I walk out of there feeling brand new! The staff is also friendly and it seems that we all know each other. The office is a little hidden, behind the Costco on Market St. The waiting area is small but you never wait for her, she has plenty rooms and they attend you right away. I started coming here through my mom, who sees Dr Hifai for adjustments and also gets massages with Elisa. My mom was always ranting and raving about them, the pricing was affordable, and they were offering a promotion that I just couldn't pass up! I purchased 4 massages at a discounted rate via the promotion, and started to see Elisa, the massage therapist. I love her and loved her massage and I haven't stopped going since! I am now a part of the rub club, so I count on my regular monthly massages, and then I still partake in their promotional events to add a few additional massages to my monthly massages, as a special treat. :) Elisa does an awesome job with the massages. She is really good about applying the pressure you're looking for, and listening to your needs/trouble spots. I feel totally comfortable with her and I think that is so important. I also find it easy to schedule and book an appointment. The trick is kind of picking a day and time that works best with your schedule, and sticking to that. Then, after every appointment, I just make sure to schedule the next month's appointment then. Because they can book up pretty quick, and if you don't have a flexible schedule, they may not be able to accommodate your time last minute. I will say that I agree with one of the reviewers below who thought it annoying that we had to fill out the online survey about our pain and the location of the spots that it's in. They seem to make a really big deal about it, and I find it unnecessary for myself. If I don't fill it in, the receptionist will make me. I feel awkward doing it and I just make it up every time. I am going for maintenance and a relaxing time; I have a relationship with the massage therapist so I'm pretty sure I can tell her where my trouble spots are. That being said, when I fill it out online, it isn't even accurate because I don't even really know what to do! I recommend coming here, and even though I personally can only speak to Elisa and the massages, the whole practice seems to be professional, and filled with kind and nice people. I have been going to Dr. Hifai for well over a year now. When I first decided to go, it was after not being able to put my own pants on for over six months due to my lumbar spine. I have already had 2 spine surgeries so avoiding surgery was my main goal. I assumed during the 6 months, avoiding surgery meant living with not being able to bend or put on my pants.....Until I met Dr. Hifai. When I finally made the appt, they got my in quickly, the staff was very kind and Dr. Hifai did a very thorough assessment of what was going on. After only about 3 visits, I was able to touch my toes, walk without "grunting" and didn't even go back to the surgeon for follow up. When I have big gaps of not seeing her, my back does often return to the pain and stiffness but all I do is go back to Dr. Hifai and like magic, I can move again! No surgery for me! She also always always has found a way to squeeze me in anytime I'm in "urgent" pain and discomfort, even the same day. Most recently, aside from my spine, I have had many other health problems. Upon just basic conversation, I mention all these problems and how I have no primary care doctor. Her response, SHE CALLS HER FRIEND WHO IS A PRIMARY DOCTOR ON THE SPOT AND GETS ME HOOKED UP TO GET HELP ASAP. This was of absolutely no benefit to her but just out of kindness. They scan your back at the beginning, during, and end of your treatment so you can see the progress. Dr. Hifai will crack your back (+ neck) in places where you have pain. I had made every appointment until then for over a year. Things come up, people forget. I gave the doctor lee way for her missed appointments I think they should have given me the same consideration. OMG, there's something so wrong here. I went to Dr. Hifai based on a friend's recommendation, when my GOOD chiropractor left town. Dr. Hifai seems like she knows what she's talking about, chiropractically speaking. Her waiting room is beautiful, but it kind of ends there. She has these really weird adjustment tables that don't even articulate - seems necessary for a full assessment/adjustment. Before your adjustment, you are treated to 3 tables in the back - a massaging water table, a roller table, and the last with the TENS unit. It's great that all 3 are usually a part of your adjustment, but if they overbook and they can't squeeze you in on all 3 tables, I think they still charge your insurance for all of them. Dr. Hifai makes you rate your pain on a scale of 1-10 every single time you are there. Which may be a useful tool for her to assess your progress, but if you have a chronic back problem, it's not all pain all the time, so it's a little annoying, There was one visit when I told her I had zero pain, and she made me sign a paper stating such. FREAKY!!! I didn't have to sign off on my pain level at any other time. She also makes a point to ask very specific questions about your weekend on every visit, which I found to be very intrusive. I could never just get an adjustment and get out. There also seems to be something wrong with her - she acts pleasant, but she looks as if someone were to say the wrong thing to her, she's going to explode and go totally postal. You should also know that Dr. Hifai is not in the healing business, she's in the money business. Every time I was there she tried to sell me something. It may be something small like repackaged and marked-up Epsom salts, but one time she pushed me into signing up for her "Rub Club" massage membership. Previously, I got massages when I needed them. In the Rub Club, you have to sign up for massages at set intervals and they automatically charge your credit card. The disadvantage was that if you didn't sign up, there were no longer any massage appointments available for you. I signed up for massages twice a month, but found that I was never in any pain or need of a massage when my appointment came up, but I was under contract to pay for them. After a few months I told the receptionist I wanted out of the contract, but she said I had to give them a one month notice to stop the charges to my credit card. So I signed the paperwork to get out of the scam, and then the b**** tried to scam me out of my remaining massages. I pointed out to her twice that she was shorting me, and I still ended up paying for one massage I didn't get. So, a few more details, the office is uncomfortable and cramped. Those 3 treatment tables in the back? It's not very relaxing when you have another patient one foot away from you. No privacy whatsoever. And as I alluded before, they overbook. So if they schedule too many patients and there's too many people waiting for the treatment tables, they skip them and act like you won't notice. And about half the time you end up waiting 30 min in the waiting room for your adjustment, while there's a prominently displayed sign that they will charge you if you're late. There used to be a total bonehead of a receptionist there when I started going to the office. It was totally ridiculous - she couldn't schedule appointments correctly, screwed up the insurance billing, and was quite unprofessional when there were male patients around. I even heard her complain about a patient to Dr. Hifiai WHILE HE WAS IN THE SAME ROOM!!! I was pleased to hear that this dip was leaving - but later found out she was leaving to go to chiropractic school. Oh...my...God. Oh, and the last, freakiest thing...when you fill out your new patient paperwork, you'll find a sheet titled "Psychological Assessment." The sheet is blank but the want you to sign the bottom. I've suffered from chronic lower back pain for a few years now but in May I suffered an acute low back injury while traveling. I had severe pain in my lower back and glutes. There was also pain and numbness and tingling down my left thigh and leg. All of my activities came to a screeching halt. I was hardly able to walk, stand, or sit. I have been coming to Hifai Chiropractic for years. I went for routine adjustments and never stopped. I love the way my back and neck feel after adjustments. I also got into a small car accident and she took care of my son and I. She made sure we got proper treatment and worked with my insurance company. I really did not do anything, which was great because who had time to work with insurance companies? Not only do I go to her, so do my kids. They are in sports so they would come to her for an alignment and they love her. They looked forward to their appointments. My whole family sees her. I never hesitate to recommend her. Hifai Chiropractic is my "go-to" place for my physical healing! I've been a patient on and off for about 10 years. Most recently I was in so much pain in my right (and my primary) arm and shoulder and left hip. It was painful to put on a sock and shoe, climb stairs, or walk around the block in my neighborhood. It was difficult to raise my arm to brush my teeth or hold a glass to drink from. After a multi-week treatment plan of adjustments, therapy beds, and massages -- I feel wonderful!!! Very poor customer service-They had a special on their website saying first time customers could get a free massage. I called and setup an appointment. When I got to the office they said the special was only good for first time 'chiropractic' patients, which was not clear on the website and not communicated to me over the phone. After filling out 20 minutes of needless paperwork, I was adjusted, only to get worse the next day and end up in Urgent Care with a pinched nerve - pain in my neck, shoulders and running down my arm. This place has all the bells and whistles - aqua bed, traction-like movement bed, heating pad, etc, but what it lacks it the skills of an experienced, knowledgeable chiropractor. I was a client for several years, started at the gateway office, continued as a customer and would drive all the way to the highland's office. Used to get massages every month, so naturally signed up for the rub club... well when i stopped going because the drive was just too far, i called and asked for it to be cancelled. It wasn't cancelled until 2 months later!!! When i found the charges several months later i was told that there are no refunds and that my massages expired. i had 3 massages that I paid for and I never got to use.
