Awesome experience!! Walked in and was instantly greeted by Rodney. I was looking for a area rug for our downstairs game room. Rodney asked questions about the room, colors, and what styles did we like. He then showed me some options and we fell in love with a nice blue/white rug that was perfect for our game room. Overall, our experience with the Floor Store was sub-par. Our advice is to find a different vendor for your flooring needs. Perhaps one who can directly own the complete experience, including sales, delivery, installation, and any necessary followup. We think our experience would have been OK or better if we didn't have such a poor experience with the installation; and much of that seems to have been due to very poor Floor Store management oversight of an outsourced installation, using contractors/sub-contractors. read more

Recently we had an issue due to water leakage and had to replace some of our hardwood floors. This is our second time coming here. We had such a wonderful experience the first time, with Shanna that we decided to come back again! Years ago we had our bedrooms done and it was so quick and easy and Shanna took care of EVERYTHING! This time we had the rest of our home done. Again, Shanna was extremely helpful and patient with us (we aren't great at making decisions). It's done and looks beautiful. When she checked on us afterwards, I mentioned a squeaky spot that I wasn't sure if was normal or not, and she didn't hesitate to send people to look and make sure. They are coming tomorrow. My overall experience with the Floor Store was very solid. I worked with TJ, who was very friendly and responsive throughout the process. I came in with an idea in mind for what I wanted for new flooring in our kitchen and bathroom, and he helped me fine-tune my ideas and pick out the right materials. Once the order was placed it arrived in about a week and a half. I worked with Try Tiles to get the flooring installed, and they commented on the quality of the materials. As a first time home owner, I struggled with choosing what material to replace my bedroom's old carpet. The manufacturer of the engineered wood used for the rest of the apartment no longer made the color I could use to match so Rodney helped me hunt down my next best option. He patiently sent me 20+ samples and explained the process to me. He also advised me on how to navigate HOA's requirements. I could tell he's been doing this for a while and is familiar with different types of homes in the city. After months of back and forth on my part, I decided to go with carpet and Rodney was very patient in helping me pick one. I worked with their in-house installer, and really like the result. The store and corporate employees offered no help or compensation to fix this. It took months to get tile flooring product (after being told when we ordered that it would take one month to get delivery) and the installation was a disaster! They arrived after the scheduled window, they did not clean up after their installation (a simple vacuum and wipe down should be expected) They under-estimated the amount of tile needed and now 3 months later we are still awaiting final installation of just a few pieces. I rarely write reviews, but thought that it was appropriate given the stellar service we received from Shanna and her team. We purchased SPC flooring for our kitchen remodel through Shanna and the whole experience was easy and seamless. Unfortunately, one of the boxes arrived with the tongue and grooves on one whole corner crushed. She was not working the day of the pickup, but one of her team members jumped in to put me at ease that a replacement would be ordered asap. There was great communication through the whole process to keep us up to date. Fast forward to today, Shanna came by to drop off the replacement box in San Bruno. We have 3 small kids and scheduling a sitter to do a run to the city is tough. She went above and beyond in terms of service and follow through. We had a challenging design issue at the heart of our recent kitchen reno--namely, finding new engineered wood planks that match the old softwood floor in the rest of our flat. (Replacing the whole floor wasn't an option.) Even though it was a small job, TJ embraced the challenge with gusto.
