Been here twice for basic service and I probably won't be back as there are other shops in the area with better basic service. They did a great job running a diagnostic and identifying other mechanical issues with my car. However, I went here a few days ago for an oil change, brought my car in at 9:30 on a Saturday and they told me "a couple hours." Two hours later my car hadn't moved and it was "almost ready" to be serviced. I've brought my car into other shops and comparable times and hadn't have to wait more than an hour. Waste of two hours. After shopping around for VW mechanics in the area, i came across these guys. It was a Sunday afternoon, I called and spoke Jimmy ,and explained the issues that I was having. without hesitation, he asked me to bring it in right away, he'll have it looked at. Their head VW mechanic explained to me in detail what the problems were. My repair was no cheap, however, I previously had it looked at by another mechanic which quoted me about the same price. So, I've been meaning to write this review for awhile. I was absolutely blown away by the customer service at this place. I came in with coolant leaking like no other!! It was the first time since not having a boyfriend that i had take care of car stuff all by myself, and im not gonna lie.. I was scared, nervous, and felt that i was guaranteed to get ripped off somewhere... When I first came in Chance (the manager) and his mechanics thought it was a bad hose, but when they went to fix it, it was the intake manifold gasket.. Yikes!?!! Chance genuinely looked sad for me, which i appreciated because i assume most mechanics would be excited and see dollar signs.. I brought in a few days later, and still sure i was going to get ripped off (although he had been nothing but nice) i gave him a bottom line about what i was willing to pay.. Well not only did he stick to my bottom line, He also gave me a free oil change!! It has been a month and my car is still running great!! I called fixcarnow.com and told them I had a "replicar" of a 1937 Jaguar build on a Mustang body. I was having a series of problems that I could not sort out, I had it at another mechanic before who honestly did not know what he was doing. This place should change its name to FIX CAR NEVER! It would be hard to imagine a worse run business than this......a multitude of sins including: misleading advertising, shoddy work, a surly and ill tempered owner, estimates and deadlines meant only in jest, and a general attitude that "the customer is always wrong".....it took them three tries and a total of three weeks to repair a simple oil leak.....at the end of this process the car still leaked oil....and they refused to pay for the four quarts of oil that leaked out after they supposedly fixed the leak the first time. Don't believe the sign about "free loaner cars". They have one old beat up loaner vehicle, which even Rent a Wreck would have second thoughts about and you better not complain or the owner will say "Take the Bus"! They could not have been more helpful, expedient, or professional when I went to their shop. My car battery died a block away and I was frantically seeking someone to help me jump my car. A few hours and some drama later, I found FixCarNow and explained my problem. Instantly, someone was bringing a portable jump starter out to my car. The prior Yelp reviews definitely did not steer me wrong. I needed an oil change and had a deflated tire. When I arrived it was clear that FCN was very busy, but they were able to fully service my car and get me a replacement tire (at a very reasonable price) in less than 24hrs. I Love these guys! They are the Best! They are such great mechanics but they are also two of the kindest, most honest guys you'll find in this business. They are also hysterical and just fun guys to be around which makes the experience of taking your car in to get repaired actually a PLEASANT one! She is super sweet and easy to talk to. Troy has worked on our cars a couple of times and always does nice work. I've been in LA for about 4 years now and found them a couple of years ago. These are my GO TO guys because they are the most trustworthy mechanics I've ever encountered. Before finding them I had some pretty awful experiences with random mechanics around LA. I always buy used cars so needless to say my cars require a lot of upkeep. It's SO important to have a place you can go to where you can truly TRUST the work they are doing on your car and that it is a fair price for what is being done. I am a woman and more often than not, past mechanics would try to "pull one over on me" or strong arm me into doing something to my car that didn't really need to be done, assuming I had no idea what they were talking about. They'd talk in circles using crazy "Car Jargon" to confuse me and try to get me to repair a part of my car that was totally fine. I am SO LUCKY I found these guys! I first found them when they were kind enough to look at a used car I was interested in buying and gave me the recommendation NOT to buy it because it wasn't going to be a reliable car. I later had them look at the used car that I ended up buying after their recommendation to go ahead and get it. Since then, they have worked on that car and that of my fiance's many times. Their work is OUTSTANDING - truly the best you will get in this business. As a woman they never talk in circles, hoping to confuse me so they can work on a part of my car that doesn't need work. These guys are not only honest, courteous, and thoughtful, but they are excellent at what they do. We have a 2000 Maxima that was first towed to another mechanic in Culver City after it broke down. The shop quoted me a ridiculous amount to fix the car, and after a week of wrangling about the price, they called me to tell me they were going out of business. For good. Certainly no surprise. After looking on Yelp and calling around, I landed on FixCarNow. Explaining my situation over the phone they were immediately sensitive to the fact that I needed help quickly and without a hassle. I spoke to Chance first, who checked to make sure he could handle the car (the Maxima needed a new/used computer and a new Idle Air Control Valve, and not all mechanics can handle the electronic recalibration of a computer) before I had it towed there. His wonderful mechanic, Thomas, called me right after he diagnosed the problem and gave me an estimate of both time and money, which was half of what the previous (crooks) had wanted. He also offered me a loner car, which is a huge financial help. The car was fixed on time, within the estimate. There is something very satisfying about having great communication with a business (phone and lots of back up emails - imagine that from an auto repair shop) prior to the repairs you are expecting and them having them done as planned, in the time they told you, getting a loaner car so you don't kill your day and then have it all come in under their price quote. Like so many people, I make it known when I've had bad customer service experience but I am embarrassed to say that I don't always put as much energy into sharing my positive experiences and rarely if ever put in writing. My experience with Fix Cars Now and especially, Chance Brown forces me to make the effort. I went to FCN for front-end damage to my SUV and was disarmed by Chances humor and a positive disposition. Even better he quoted me a fair price (I know because I "shopped" repair shops) and gave me his word that the physical repairs would not exceed The number he gave me and he made good on his word. To top all of this off, FCN will provide a loaner vehicle under some circumstances and I don't need to tell you that this alone can save you hundreds of dollars. So, I got my car fixed beautifully that was returned washed including waxed tires. I avoided having to rent a car that saved me tons of money and the cost for repair was highly competitive and was backed 100% by my insurance company, no questions asked. On top of it, everyone was friendly and helpful and they're open 7DAYS A WEEK! Yes, I picked up my car on a Sunday afternoon. 2012 was a tough year for driving as I also have rear bumper damage that occurred prior to the front. You will find that the knowledge, experience, and general ability to make decisions is about that of a child aged appropriately to name a business Fix Car Now. This company cost me a car. I sold it, unable to pass a smog check and leaking fluids from the engine, for 20 percent of its value due to an expired registration and street parking situation that nobody ever wants to be in. This was after FCN performed a timing chain operation, left out a necessary water pump, and days later blew my head gasket. (Also, they deprogrammed my on board computer, drained and didn't replace my a/c fluid, somehow disabled my cruise control completely, and delivered me my car in a most filthy state with notes written in the dirt of the windshield with someone's finger.) They've taken no responsibility for this, and have now removed my Yelp reviews as well. I guess that's good business these days... if you're looking for a cheap bill, sure-- go ahead. If you're looking to have a car next week, I'd suggest a real mechanic. read more

Jimmy, Thomas and David provided excellent customer service and went the extra mile and not for the extra buck or yelp review but clearly because it is the kind of service they offer on a daily basis. As a woman, going to a mechanic can be frustrating simply because a lot of times we are taken advantage of but here I felt respected and safe. The guys didn't beat around the bush with repairing my car and didn't charge me for any unnecessary work. My 2010 VW Passat check engine had come on and having gone to the dealership I was told it would cost almost $1500 to repair. I knew enough of about my car to know that that was ridculous. After reading the review and checking out their website I contacted them via email and Jimmy replied that evening with a quote that was much more reasonable. They did a great job on my car and got it fixed in a day...when my insurance was going to take 2 days to even come out and look at it so that was great. So why 4 stars and not 5? Well they seemed a bit unorganized and from what I could hear it sounded like it was from lack of employees. When I went in to talk to the guy he was there by himself...the phone was ringing off the hook and apparently they don't have hold on their phone because he had to pick it up right then even though I was sitting there before the calls started. GET A MULTI-LINE PHONE SYSTEM GUYS, that way you can attend to your customers and not take phone calls ahead of them. Also the next day when I went in to pick up my car, there was a guy there who wanted his car checked out and the man there at the time was saying "we can't look at it now, all my guys are out to lunch" That's not how you do it...lol this isn't high school, everyone doesn't need to sit together at lunch, make everyone go at different times. If John is going at 1:30 make James go at 2:00 so that there is always someone available to help people out. Aside from that I also wanted them to give me an estimate on some scratches on my car (that resulted from the hit and run that brought me there in the first place). They fixed the main problem, being the alignment with my tires....but they never gave me the estimate on the scratches. Every time I asked they would say "we'll get you a quote by the end of the day" Never got the quote and I just eventually took it to my usual car people because it was such a small job. They do give you a free rental, BUT the rental is only free if you actually get work done by them, so keep that in mind and don't expect a flashy rental lol my car is a 2012 and when he showed me the rental I'd be driving I was like "oh" I had to manually adjust the mirrors just to give an idea on the year of the car and it's basically an advert. car, with their number and all that on it....luckily it was only for a day. *NOTE TO BUSINESS OWNERS* Your guys do good/quick work. But PLEASE hire someone to help that poor guy who is in charge of phones/ walk-ins. I really did feel bad for him...he needed help. Get a new phone....spread your employee's lunch breaks throughout the day. These 4 stars would have been 5 with a little more organization. read more

Don't know about body work here, but I absolutely can't recommend them for oil changes. Charging $50, for what you can get elsewhere for less than half that? They weren't particularly communicative, fast, nor were they very friendly. These guys are amazing and just saved me $400. I had an oil change elsewhere and the mechanic told me my water pump is leaking and had to be replaced. This was a surprise so I wanted to get a second opinion before shelling out $400 to replace it. Toyota charges $50+ for an inspection, and most other places charge as well. FixCarNow does diagnostic test for free. The guys were professional and took the time to explain to me what they found. My water pump doesn't need to be replaced, but if my car needs any service in the future I'll definitely bring it back here. The only con is they seem very busy all the time so the wait might be long, but at the same time they are probably busy because they do such an awesome job! read more

I've been coming here for 6 years and have never had a poor experience. They're reliable, work quickly, and have fair prices. The staff is very friendly as well. Whenever I need to keep my car in for a longer period of time, they're usually able to arrange a loaner car if I call in ahead of time. In the past, when my car had an issue that came back after I brought it in, they didn't charge me for the original attempted repair. Yes. Mainly because of their convenience and proximity. Regardless, they are easy going, friendly, and straight forward. Where do you take your car when your first teenager loosened the bumper while learning how to drive a year ago and your twins are about to get their driver permits? I looked for a place that would inexpensively and conveniently fix the bumper and be there when my next drivers in waiting did minor damage to our "trainer" car, a 2005 Sebring. Jimmie took great care of me. I went in for an estimate and left an hour or so later with the bumper no longer hanging off the car!! Trust is something that is tough to find when it comes to car repair shops. This place diagnosed my car, quoted me a price, then told me it would probably be covered by my warranty! They advised me to take my car to my dealership first. Sure enough they saved me $500!!! So awesome!! For future repairs, I'll surely take my car back here! read more
