Came in a few weeks ago got a bunch of chicken, hot dogs, and sides. The chicken crunch was great but the soy garlic was too salty and lacked flavor. The spicy however had better flavor although it wasn't spicy. My family was split in half .. half liked it and the other half thought both flavors were salty. Fries were delicious but you can't go wrong with that. The radish I only wish it was bigger cubes and more for the price ala carte. Came back for more, what can I say? I'm a sucker for good food. The wings are reasonably priced, but the chicken sandwich combo felt like a little stretch for me. Fortunately, I won a giveaway & got to try the almighty chicken sandwich and let me tell you it did not disappoint. I got in in Soy Garlic, and it's everything amazing about the wings but in a burger form. The kimchi was perfectly rounded out by the zucchini & everything just melts together in your mouth so nicely. Highly recommend getting it if budget isn't a major concern! As for the new potato shell on the corn dog; the concept is great. It's almost a replacement for the fries if you don't want both. My only reservation is that occasionally the batter won't be cooked all the way since the potato is so thick. This made the breading start to fall off my corn dog. Maybe if it was fried with a thin layer of dough first then dipped in the potato & refried it would be more cohesive? read more

Went here a few weeks ago for pickup. Parking is a tad difficult but manageable given proximity to police-only spots + BU. Overall painless experience however. We ended up buying 10 pc soy garlic + 10 pc FIYA sauce wings. Didn't really care for the soy garlic variety but the wings were BIG and tender. FIYA sauce good. Very affordable and worthwhile for the price. The salt nori fries were bomb as well. This will be our go to spot for korean fried chicken moving forwards. Certainly a "wing" up on nearby spots like Bonchon or BBQ fried chicken. read more

Food here is pretty good and service is great! You order and pay with a QR code that you scan on the table. We got the tenders with fries and chicken wings with rice. As soon as we sat down, we were given our strawberry lemonades and water was offered to those who didn't order a beverage. The lemonade is incredibly refreshing with chunks of fresh fruit and slight sweetness and tang. Their packaging is pretty unique with the canned beverage and thick paper straws. Onto the wings. These were the the juiciest, most enormous and most flavorful Korean fried chicken I've ever had. I had just eaten a bowl of pho but as soon as I saw the chicken, I dug in. Mind blown. However within 30 seconds of getting the wings, we realized we had been given the wrong order but the staff quickly replaced our food and gifted us an additional order of wings. I WISH I didn't eat right before this... Oh they also gave us gloves and plates. Amazing service! I've only heard about Korean corn dogs before but having taken a bite of one was a life changing experience. It was like if french fries, mozzarella sticks and beef hot dogs made love in hot oil. Juicy, stretchy, sweet, salty and crispy! The Taiwanese basil fried chicken came in easy to eat bite sizes filled with basil. Incredibly crunchy and flavorful. I've had it at a few Taiwanese places but this might be the best I've had. The food is spectacular, better than MFC and Bonchon by far. We got takeout delivery, so we didn't get the full experience but we're looking forward to going back in person one day! Korean-American fusion, sort of like fast food stepped up (like corn dog but fancy, fries but with nori/dashi, etc). We got chicken tenders, which truthfully weren't as crispy as we hoped (probably because it was delivered) and also found some of the meat a little tougher/stringier than ideal. Even so, definitely held up better than regular fried chicken, with much more flavor! Spice rub was good, not yet rave-worthy but maybe that'll change if it's right out of the fryer. I normally love chicken tenders, but will be trying wings next time! Personal favorite part was the fries -- I *love* dashi and and had never thought of combining them! Thick fries full of taste without being too greasy. If you get takeout, would definitely recommend reheating in oven to get extra crispiness if they wilted. Tried the half-cheese half-dog corndog, partly because we were betting whether it was a cheese-coated hot dog or if it was literally stacked -- I lost, it was stacked!! Top half is cheese, which truthfully made the first bite underwhelming because it was all cheese when my heart kinda wanted a bite of hot dog. I ordered the Cider honey mustard chicken wings and corndogs. The chicken wings were HUGE, juicy and the skin was extra crispy. The sauce was sweet and tangy but it could use more sauce. The pickled radish that came with the chicken had no flavor. It tasted like straight radish. I dont know if that was intentional or on accident. The corndogs were also very big and crispy too. THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE REPORTED TO THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT ASAP!!!! They are operating with dangerous food safety practices that are ILLEGAL. I ordered and went to pick up during the pickup window and was SO SHOCKED to see they make all the onigiri and let it sit out for over 7 hours. Some of the onigiri have undercooked EGG or FISH ROE, canned TUNA and other seafoods and other meats and still they are letting it sit out for hours on a regular shelf (NOT REFRIGERATED). I was lucky to see it since I came at the beginning of the pick up window - would have been none the wiser if I had come at the end. I understand that refrigerating makes onigiri rice hard and unappetizing, that's why you have to make it fresh. The owner must be stupid if they don't understand why no one else is doing this kind of pop up - it's because a skilled chef would not be trying to POISON over 50 people each day. read more

The Taiwanese popcorn chicken is delicious--perfectly crisp on the outside, moist and tender on the inside, perfectly flavorful, not too spicy, not too salty. That's worth coming back for. The tenders are good but pretty average as tenders go. The chicken sandwich is similar to the tender as far as the chicken goes and I feel like there's too much going on - Mayo, sauce, pickles, kimchi--all kind of gets lost a bit into one salty bite after another. Hot fries are again, average, nori fries are too subtle in flavor. A good value for what you get, but nothing to write home about. But the popcorn chicken, yes, get that!! read more

Great concept and idea. I still think there's more work to be done. I ordered a corn dog 1/2 mozzarella and 1/2 hot dog. First bite into it, the batter did not stay on the "meat" and became a mess as I tried to pull away for their signature, "mozzarella string" challenge. I also ordered spicy garlic tenders and while the chicken was good, it didn't really change the way I saw the establishment and how it could stand up to the other options around the area. I felt flavor was missing and the "crisp" in their chicken was missing. I am rooting for places like these and I mean it all in constructive criticism. I hope to try this again and my mind is changed but for now, it's not a "need to go try again" type of a place. I will say, customer service was top notch. I've been seeing Fiya Chicken all over the place and decided to try and see what the hype was all about. I came here for lunch with my boyfriend and it was pretty quiet. They offered dine in and had hand sanitizer all over the place. Since they took over Love Art Udon, the place seemed pretty empty. But I'm sure it's because of COVID restrictions that it was like that. We checked online to look at their menu and ordered at the cashier. It was a small menu, but we ended up ordering 1.5 lbs worth of chicken with the Fiya sauce, the spicy garlic, and the honey mustard, a Korean style corn dog, and truffle fries. I honestly was pretty disappointed with everything not going to lie. The chicken was too fried and too crispy, making it too difficult to eat. My boyfriend and I had to bite into the crispy layer and then into the meat, so we couldn't enjoy the chicken entirely. The fried part was probably the only part of the chicken that had the most flavor. Other than that, the chicken was almost flavorless and borderline dry. Out of all the flavors we chose, I would pick the spicy garlic. It had the most flavor and if the chicken was better, that would probably be a pretty good chicken. The Fiya sauce was just spice, not salt, no nothing. It just left a kick but there was no oomf to it. The honey mustard was okay, not sweet but just wasn't the right honey mustard flavor we were looking for. The Korean style corn dog was... weird? I think the hot dog in a sense made the whole thing taste kind of sour. The batter was ok and cooked thoroughly. They don't skimp out on this corn dog, but I think I was just unlucky and given a bad corn dog. The truffle fries were pretty good, had a good amount of truffle flavor but from the looks of it, they did not see m like they were truffle fries. When we first got our order, we questioned if they had truffle on them but had to taste test to see! For $35 for a meal like this, I would say to save your money and go elsewhere, especially in Allston. read more

Fairly new restaurant in Brighton with a very simple menu. First off, I love the wall art (try to name as many references you can !). Second, you order via the QR code on the desk or wall. I understand why they chose to do this, but I like to order additional items at new places. Instead, I had to play it safe and order their FIYA wings which is moderately spicy and quite filling. Other than that, it's just okay. Although, I do appreciate wings that don't require 30 minutes to make between each order. The main highlight me and my friends can agree on is the hot dog. I ordered the squid ink and both cheese and hot dog. Unlike my friend, it took me more than half way before my hot dog appeared, so I was just eating cheese. If you want to eat casually or someplace quick, I recommend Fiya Chicken. Also, they have made fresh lemonade that my friend found quite refreshing after a long day of hiking! read more

Went there twice with my friends, we got the soy garlic and FIYA style the first time and mozzarella potato corndog with truffle fries the second time. Let's just say that I would only go back for the truffle fries. Don't get me wrong, the ambiance is nice and the workers are super friendly, but both times, the food were mediocre at best. Maybe try it out for yourself but if you are looking for a good and reasonably priced Korean chicken place, I would recommend walking just a couple of blocks down and try BBQ chicken :) read more

If you're craving chicken & corn dogs, this is the place to go. My partner and I ordered 2 fried chicken sandwich combos, 2 regular corn dogs, 1 ramen corn dog, the tteokbokki sticks and the mango & strawberry lemonade. First off, the portions are great. Most places tend to skimp out on the fries when they're added as part of a combo but that is not the case here. The corn dogs were really thick and filling with a lovely cheesy flavor. They are only missing a star because I noticed that the chicken sandwich I ordered (cider honey mustard) seemed to be really pink. I was starving so I decided to take the risk and finish it anyways as it was still hot & tasted good but chicken is one of the meats you typically need to cook thoroughly. My partner ordered the soy garlic chicken sandwich which was also pink (just less so) but SUPER salty. We both took a bite out of it just to try it and had to put it down because of how bad it was. Such a shame because my sandwich tasted fine. Other than that, it's a good atmosphere with unique art covering the walls.
