I enjoyed my meal here quite a bit! The service was good and the restaurant wasn't crowded on a Thursday night. The bulgogi was quite good. I also got a Soulongtang. As the menu suggests, the soulongtang is not seasoned and you'll have to season it yourself. I did but I still found it wasn't that flavorful. It's quite rich and I liked the noodles though. Overall, a decent meal for a relatively reasonable price considering how much food you get! I definitely took the soup home to finish later!

We used to absolutely love this place, but our most recent visit was so disappointing. Not sure what's happened over the years but the portions & quality got significantly lower while the prices got much higher. $33 for a combo with such tiny portions is insane. Not to mention our meat was overcooked to the point of being tough to chew. The Soulongtang broth was nice and rich but they barely gave any glass noodles. Banchan was bland. Overall, very sad to see how far they've fallen.

My recent visit wasn't as good as before. They were out of over half the menu - no pork dishes, kalbi, several soups/stews. Portions are on the smaller side compared to other Korean places around. If it wasn't for the colder weather that day, we would probably have ventured elsewhere.

6/6/2026: Have been going here since my days at BU. Seoul Soulongtang has always been a place to go to for comfort Korean food. The establishment has a friendly waitstaff and the food comes out fast! I highly recommend trying this place if you enjoy Bulgogi and bone broth soup (great combo)!

Seoul Soulongtang is a solid option for when you're craving Korean comfort food. Perfect for when you're feeling under the weather or after a great night out. I ordered the dolsot bimbimbap with beef and my fiance ordered the soulongtang + LA galbi combo. Both were excellent choices and scratched the itch! While the galbi didn't come in a huge portion, it was cooked well and like I said, it satisfied our craving for now. Everything was flavored accordingly and I have no complaints about the food. It was a bit hard to flag down staff in order to pay our bill. It could've just been that we were in a hidden back corner, but it did take us 15-20 min to have someone bring the check to us.

After recently moving to Boston, we asked around for some good Korean restaurants and Seoul Soulongtang came up the most so we went to check it out this weekend. We ordered the spicy kalbitang + jaeyook bokkum combo and also got a mul naengmyeon. The best part of the meal was without a doubt the mul naengmyeon. Even before adding in vinegar and mustard, the broth was pretty tasty, there was a lot of radish and a decent amount of meat. A perfect refreshing dish for the summer and something I'd come back for. The jaeyook bokkum dish wasn't bad, a bit oily for my taste. Overall I'd order it again but wouldn't seek it out like I would for the naengmyeon. The least favorite dish was the spicy kalbitang - wouldn't say it's bad but felt like the broth lacked depth and in comparison to the two other dishes, it just wasn't nearly as good. Overall pretty satisfied with our meal here, I'd give it a 3.5/5 but rounding up to 4.

For a quick Sunday lunch, I decided on Korean soup to shake off the dreary spring weather. Entering at 11:45, I received a table immediately; the establishment had less than one quarter occupancy. I put in my order for the spicy galbitang ($17.95). Immediately after, the server set the table with side dishesband a bowl of white rice. The five today included cabbage kimchi, radish kimchi, fish cake, pickled onion and some other root vegetables, and fried tofu. The cabbage kimchi seemed under fermented. The galbitang arrived just as I was finishing up the banchan. It was barely spicy, and some of the gochujang hadn't yet dissolved. I found a few paste chunks. The soup also tasted underwhelming, with insufficiently concentrated stock. The beef rib pieces were also sparse with the meat. At least they were fast and efficient, but the meal was udnerwhelming.

Conveniently located near Harvard Ave green line stop, this place is a gem. They offer delicious combos if you're indecisive. Parking can be tough as limited metered spots. Food came out super fast! The daikon brings out the sweetness to the kalbi tang dish. Stingy on the noodles so it would be nice if I can order extra side noodles. Love the marinate on the kalbi meal. The soy glazed and garlic caramelized to perfection. The cold noodles I am grateful that it's lightly salted - you have plenty of condiments to add for your liking.

Maybe the best Korean restaurant for comfort food in Boston. We got the kimchi pancake, which was greasy and not much seafood inside. The main dish was the Kalbi Tang combo (kalbi and soup), soooo good, so we had to get another Kalbi on the side. Soup is warm and served with rice, perfect for the cold weather. Service was quick and nice. It is a cozy restaurant and good food. Kalbi is the must try!

I have been on a Korean cold noodle kick. In a heat wave, nothing hits the spot like a big bowl of noodles with chunks of ice floating in the broth. (I should learn how to make this at home.) After scouring Yelp for a place in Boston that serves these cold noodles, I landed on Seoul Soulongtang in Brighton. Be sure to come around 6 even on weekdays or be prepared for a bit of a wait - we came a little after six and nabbed the last table for two; after we finished, we opened the door to find a long line outside. The menu features a bunch of other soups and dishes but I only had eyes for the last page of cold noodles. Broth: light, fragrant, condiments of salt and yellow mustard and vinegar provided. Noodles: nice and springy, they provide a pair of scissors to snip snip into more manageable bites. Standard garnishes of pickled radish, green onions, thinly sliced beef and cucumber, and half a hardboiled egg. Banchan: good selection and they give free refills. They also offer combo meals of noodles + galbi, which may be a good option for two people who aren't super hungry. It gets a little loud inside with people talking and someone manning the massive frying counter but nothing too bad. The service was not exactly friendly but very efficient and our food came out quickly. PARKING: If you do decide to chance the wait-time and come after 6, there's free parking in the lot on Comm Ave across the street, as well as a big parking lot on Harvard Ave behind Cafe Brazil Bakery.

Reasonably priced family restaurant with delicious food and solid portion sizes. We went as a group of five on a Friday at around 8:15pm and had a 10-20 minute wait to get seated. I got the kalbitang, which had a good amount of beef ribs, white radish, and noodles in the warm, hearty stew. We also got the bossam and kimchi pancake to share. The bossam came with a good amount of pork belly, sauces, and delicious radish kimchi to go with it. The kimchi pancake was doughy and chewy, but I couldn't tell the difference between it and a regular seafood pancake. The only unfortunate part of our visit was that their grill was closed by the time that we got there, even though we had called ahead to hear that it didn't close until 8:30pm. A bunch of items were also sold out, though we were luckily still able to find non-beef dishes for a member of our party that doesn't eat beef. Overall, I would come back for the bossam and fresh kimchi. Perhaps earlier next time to get to try some of their grill dishes.

Worst service ever! This isn't directed at all the waiters and waitresses, but at one specific male waiter who gave us the check before we even asked for it. He didn't give checks to other tables before ours, but decided to give one to us. When I asked him why, he said there was no reason. Bruh, get a life! Don't be passive-aggressive toward customers of different ethnicities for fun. Got in the store around 4:16PM and received the check around 4:29PM.

But this place completely lives up. 6 different ramens, $17.95 for the regular bowls. I was recommended the red hot miso ramen, a spicy option. You order up at the counter, and they give you a buzzer that buzzes when your ramen is ready to grab at the counter. The ramen was ready in under 10 minutes. First, the broth was remarkably complex and rich, with an endless depth that never became too overbearing -- perfect. The noodles were perfectly cooked as well, served up in a decent portion. Toppings-wise, you get tofu, soy crumble, corn, arugula, and sprouts, along with plenty of sesame seeds. I would've liked some proper greens (other than a few raw arugula leafs), but that's the most minor of complaints. Service was decent enough -- informative and helpful in describing the options. All in all, top-notch vegan ramen. Highest recommendation.

Swung by this place on a weekday for lunch to avoid the rush - most weekends I pass by this place and the line wraps around the street! My friend and I stepped in and were immediately greeted with a sour attitude. We were confused on the menu whether our ramen included chili oil or not, and the staff did not help explain anything and just quickly dismissed our questions to get us to order quicker. Once we sat down, the food was done relatively quickly. However I was very surprised on what we had gotten. Now I admit - I am not a vegetarian. However, I have enjoyed many vegetarian meals and this was quite upsetting. We both got the garlic miso ramen. The ramen was not temperature hot at all. The chili oil was not flavorful. The "soy meat" was simply just mushed tofu with awful texture, and it soaked into the soup and created a pretty unpleasant texture (I took a picture which makes me sad and unappetized). I was unable to finish my bowl. The food combined with the service made for a pretty negative time for me. I really wanted to love it - a place with a full vegetarian menu is amazing for all my friends who have that restriction! Maybe if they tried pan frying the tofu create a better textural experience? I will not plan to come back, and will highly recommend you go to any other restaurant in Back Bay.
