This is a poor excuse for a car wash business. If I could give this zero stars, I would. The interior of my vehicle was not vacuumed when the car was cleaned. When I brought this to Beth's (the owner) attention, she first said it was a miscommunication. Beth failed to understand that I speak Spanish fluently and the employee understood that I wanted the whole interior cleaned. I asked for the ultimate car wash which included a vacuum of the vehicle. Beth attempted to argue with me. What owner doesn't want to make their customer happy? Beth doesn't, obviously! I drive miles out of my way to get my car washed at Embassy. The prices are great, the folks who work there are friendly and efficient. The manager/owner is friendly and remembers me. If your car is really disgusting inside get an express detail, they've completely turned around a couple of cars that my kids had really made a mess. Terrible cleaning job inside. The outside was ok. After sitting in my car ready to leave I noticed there was dirt on the floor of the car and on the seats. I went back inside where the attendant instructed the cleaner to re-vacume the car. Guess what? They did and it looked exactly the same as before. I made a huge mistake today for bringing my brand new Honda Pilot here. I selected the Ultimate Wash for $20 and it was a complete waste of money. I just got back from here and let me tell you, it will be the last time I go here. For the cost I expect something far better then what I got, especially on a rainy slow day. None of the windows were cleaned well, all had streaks, inside and out, and had to be redone when I got home. They did vacuum the floor however that is it, the back dash needed to be cleaned and and as I left I noticed it had not been touched. I called them to see if that was included in the "deluxe wash" and the lady advised me only if the customer points it out....what? That is the best you can do? Your the one with the car wash, I am the one with the dirty car paying to have it cleaned....could you imagine a person not wanting it done? Also, all the door wells were dirty, all the controls and arm rests had dust on them still and the there were many, many spots that had been missed on the inside...I spent another half hour and four bucks re-cleaning my just cleaned car...LAME! How does that even make sense. The manager didn't even act like he cared about any of it. I have been to Embassy about 5 times and had always received fantastic service. However, I went there 2 weeks ago and was getting back in the car to leave after it had been dried off and I saw a large SUV charging toward my car in the rearview mirror. Then there was a loud noise and the SUV squeezed between my car and the one next to me. I got out to see if there was any damage and noticed a small chip of paint missing from the bumper. The driver of the SUV -- one of the Embassy team -- was walking toward me and I told him he had hit my car. He ignored me. The manager appeared and started telling me my car had not been hit. I walked up to the SUV and pointed out to her a mark on the side of the front bumper. She said, "That's just a scuff! That was there before!" as if it were her car. At this point there was a small scene as the employees were all staring at me and the manager was becoming quite rude -- insisting her employee had not bumped my car. I was very frustrated and left. I realized the damage that was done was not enough to insist on any type of compensation but I felt quite disrespected and mistreated by the manager. She could have offered an apology at the least. Please be careful when you patronize Embassy. Do not leave your car out of your sight as the management is careless. read more

Very poor customer service! I had bought a pkg of washes through Groupon before I bought a new car w/manual transmission. Went to Embassy to use one of the coupons after the snow in Dec (too cold to hand-wash the car at home) but told the guy I wanted to drive the car to the wash. The guy said ok, so I got out so they could vacuum the interior. When done, I got in to pull the car up, moved 4 ft, right before the conveyor, and they told me I needed to get out of the car. I said I wanted to drive it up, but they said no, gave me dirty looks, and then said, "then you need to get out of here," and shooed me away, as if I missed out on the privilege of having them wash my car. English was not their first language, but believe me, there was no mis-communication when we discussed that I wanted to drive my car up to the conveyor, and their disrespectful attitude was loud and clear, even if some of the words they used was not English. Paid for the best and got less than acceptable. Really needed the inside vacuumed - sand and dog fur - and wiped down due to dust. Had to tell them to vacuum again and they acted like dog fur can't be vacuumed and that they were being inconvenienced by having to 'do it again'. They never did wipe down the interior. This place is small and unkept. The surrounding area is loaded with trash on the ground! The drive through area is narrow and can be difficult to maneuver if on a large vehicle. I tried the $18.00 express wash with tire shine. The entire process took maybe 15 minutes. I have all weather mats over my carpeted mats and needless to say they were drenched when my car was done. My car was still wet, tire rims were not cleaned that great, my leather seats damp when I say down. Pretty sure readers and thinking I should have had them fix all of the mistakes I saw but after the morning I was having, I just wanted to get home. They have a 100% guarantee but at this point I just wanted to be done with it already. I gave this place 2 stars only because the two cashiers were very friendly. They were the only two who greeted me after encountering nearly 10 employees while there. It appeared majority spoke Spanish which could have been the reason but all in all. I don't understand why they refuse to remove floor mats, vacuum under them, then replace. I have floor mats with catches that they always leave unsecured. I have been here 4-5 times ONLY because it's close to my home. These people never dry your car properly, clean the windows, or clean the interior. Once they hold up the filthy rag they have been using all day to get your attention, they run away. You would have to chase them or interrupt someone else just to get your car cleaned properly. And if you do get someone's attention to clean your windows, they will do it with attitude. I do not recommend using their service. read more

I got my car washed on 03/31/18 at Fairfax, VA location. Once car came out of tunnel they just wanted me to pick it & go. They never completed the job. Vacuum was not done , wheels/tires were not cleaned. When pointed out one of the employee told me arrogantly this is what they have been asked to do. Embassy Wash has to be the worst car wash in the country. Opted for the $28 package, "we do everything!" Lol, uh, you didn't clean the wheels, you didn't wipe the door jams, you didn't wash the rear window, or even open the lift gate, your vacuuming sucks, you're automated car wash misses the wheels and various sections of the car (like the entire front end) etc.. It was so bad I didn't even complain, I just got the hell out of there. Who knows where these workers are from but they're all useless. There was no use complaining, it was so obvious that these workers were just not engaged in anything. There clearly isn't a trained manager on site, and it's beyond that anyway. Ownership is a mess, perhaps they're money launderers. Place looks decent from the street but once you enter the drive through and you have to request a ticket to be written, you immediately sense that the place is sketchy, really sketchy. I went here on a recommendation from someone. I needed a interior cleaning because I had a couple of spots on my seats but nothing too horrible. So i paid $90 and When I picked up my car the lady just said it was over there.. and pointed. I went to check it out and found that my floors were soaked in the back and there was some nasty wet food( my fault for dropping food) under the seats as well as other various hairs and paper. There was also wet gunk in the seat slides. So gross... worse because it was wet! One of the guys saw me picking the stuff out and cleaning it and came over to help.. He didn't speak good English but he saw what I was doing and helped. No manager or anyone else came over..... Moving on to the next day when I decide to put back my rugs that were still soaking wet.. I find one was missing. Ugghhhhhhh... WTH?? I ended up calling them up and letting them know and them did offer to replace them. That was a good thing. I was given a gift certificate to this place. Drive here and they are closed during normal business hours. Guy at the front desk is unhelpful and rude. Says there are 5 locations in the Northern VA area. I'm not driving 30 minutes. If I didn't have these gift certificates I would never come back. Once they are done I never will. read more

Pretty disappointing. If you get one of the higher end washes that includes the tire shine its a joke because its applied by a machine in the actual carwash and it only hits like half the tire so it looks terrible. The guys vacuuming don't spend enough time or the strength of their machine is terrible because there's always dirt still left that I can easily shake off. Even the car wash itself isn't very efficient. Stuff still on the car that I'm easily able to remove by hand. There really aren't that many options in the area so I deal with it but they have room for improvement. read more

I got the platinum wash and frankly, it was a waste of money. They barely wiped the inside and did a very light vacuuming. Theres a reason the reviews on here for this place are so low, and I found out first hand. I paid $22 for the wash. The Car looked like it was gonna come out real clean and sparkly. I was on a phone call when I got the car, so didnt bother checking. 20 mins later, I went back to the car to find that the car was STILL covered in pollen, dust and grime. The insides were not even touched. The windscreen even had stains from dust and water from driving in the rain, before the wash. If an automatic car wash is incapable of scrubbing the car so even the surface isnt cleaned, Im paying for driving thru a drizzle, which is total BS. I wish I could go back and fight for the money, but aside from tire shine and armorall, this was a total waste of $22 and 20 mins. read more

I always use their 50% off coupon, which can be retrieved monthly in ValPak coupon mailer. For the price I pay, it is good. For super wash ($7.50 w coupon) you get vacuum, exterior wash and wipe down. Other nearby places - self wash is ~$4-5, gas station/other express car washes $6-7 w/o wipe down or vacuum, so this is a good balance of cost/cleanliness for me. There could be some missing spots in hard to reach places due to it being machine wash, but for the price, I'm not complaining. read more

How does this place stay in business?????.......it totally half as::;: in everything they do...the car is not cleaned , the windows are dirty, the interior is dirty , and that horrible tire dressing splashes all over the side of the car leaving a beautiful black glaze. The Rainex is so concentrated your windshield. Is screwed up for a month. God knows what is in the water they wash with or if they even clean it. Wow, in the 15+ years giving my business Embassy, I've never had such an awful experience. I came today to get my usual, the express interior which I get about twice a year. An employee (owner or manager, I think... older, bearded man) came out and got in my face yelling at me he didn't think my car would be a candidate because the carpets were too dirty. Uh duh, that's why I brought it to you, to get it cleaned. I understand it's a 10 year old car and isn't going to be spotless even with a shampoo. I also understand it's not a Mercedes of BMW which they are probably used to here in McLean. All I wanted was my car to get a good vacuuming and wipe down, not a verbal, public and embarrassing berating in front of other customers. Please take your business elsewhere. read more

Horrible wash. Sign says brushless but it is not car left wet and dried with water spots. They washed my weather tech floor mats and left the wet and soapy and while putting them back in my car covered my leather seats in water and soap. I have been having my car washed here for several years without any problems but lately have encountered the same problem several times. Although I have requested their Ultimate Wash which includes such extra items as Chassis Bath, Simonin Tire Shine etc. I just got the regular wash instead. You can tell because when the car goes thru the wash line, there are overhead signs with the appropriate treatment that will light up when the car goes through. Well, none of the signs lit up. I confronted the cashier and one time she agreed to run the car through again and lo and behold that time all the signs lit up. It happened again yesterday and this time they were very busy and she told me that some lights were broken and some never light up. She did not apologize or offer to run it through again or reduce the price to a regular wash. I will never have my car washed here ever again. read more
