Flagstaff Towing is a predatory scam. They towed my car from the spot I paid $100/month for--because I parked slightly angled to avoid a mountain of snow my complex failed to remove. FYI: Landlords are legally required to maintain safe, accessible parking--they didn't. Instead, they had me towed... walking distance away. Then Flagstaff Towing demanded $300 in cash only, refusing card--which is illegal under AZ law (ARS § 28-4847). The photos they took of my car show the snow hazard. They ignored that and held my car hostage. This is predatory and unlawful. If this happened to you too, file a complaint with the Arizona Attorney General. read more

Flagstaff Towing is the worst business I've had the misfortune of dealing with. If I could give them zero starts, I would. They are unprofessional crooks. TLDR: The other reviews really say it all. Take your business elsewhere, their rates are ridiculously high and full of sneaky fees and the employees are rude. Over the phone I was told that "other companies" in town charge up to $500 and that they were "pretty cheap". After calling and talking to "other companies" in town, I found this was not the case at all. One company I called told me that they would never think of charging the rates that Flagstaff Towing and Recovery does. If possible take your business to literally any other company in town. If you got towed by Flagstaff Towing and Recovery, I am so sorry you have to deal with these people. I'm posting this review after my friend had his car towed by this company, after seeing how the owner responds to these reviews I wouldn't put it past him to go out of his way to make the experience worse for my friend. This friend's car also was damaged while in the care of this company. This is also the reason I'm not naming the other companies, out of fear of harassment from the owner of this establishment. But I highly encourage a quick search and call to any other towing business in town to ask them yourself. There is a lot more I could talk about, but luckily my experience with this company was brief. I highly recommend reading the other reviews and especially the responses from the owner and think if this is a business you want to support. Retail parking ends at the standard at 11pm, got down to my car at 11:02 and every car was booted and a car was already on the hitch so clearly they start early. They accept cash only wouldn't even accept my Venmo (which can't be disputed) either way only accepting cash is illegal in Arizona and unfair considering most students don't carry over $300 in cash. So didn't take my car to my boyfriends today to avoid that mess but when he took me home at 10:50 the truck was parked on another level so we hung around to investigate and they started booting and putting license plates into the system at 10:55. Everyone who's experienced this should receive a refund and I hope the standard realizes they should use a different company eventually these guys will get caught and held accountable for all the things they've done to these poor people at the standard and in these reviews read more

On two occasions were we trying to pick up our cars and were first told to wait 25 minutes for them to actually show up. Terrible customer service. Very rude. Towed my car and cracked my windshield and blame it on me. They use no caller ID so you won't be able to get in contact with them. Estevan was disrespectful and wouldn't let me see the picture taken of my vehicle and said I had to talk to his lawyer. All I have to say is wow... how dangerous and unprofessional this company must be to have such an angry employee putting people and property in such danger! First of all I was bringing my kids to visit their grandparents at the village of Lake Mary apartments today and there was a driver taking up the road with his tow truck in the complex.. when I was finally able to drive around his horrible park job I was going to try and get his attention to ask him to please move but I could hear him through his vehicle screaming and cussing at someone on the phone so I didn't bother engaging this angry man. once I parked I'm happy I didn't let my kids out of the car just yet because he aggressively reversed his big tow truck at full speed and almost hit the back of my PARKED CAR it's very frustrating because there were other kids playing nearby he could have hit as he did NOT slow down when he took off at full speed ! Just when I thought I wouldn't see him again he soon sped down the hill with a vehicle on his bed that wasn't even strapped down all the way as nothing seemed to be holding the back 2 tires down to secure the vehicle so when he sped down the hill and hit the speed bumps at full speed the vehicle he was towing looked like it was about to fall off the bed of the truck! how dangerous and unprofessional! My family and I stayed at an Air B and B, including small children and my elderly in-laws, and unfortunately arrived during a snowstorm. The owners failed to mark the driveway and our car ended up stuck over concrete stairs. Flagstaff Towing and Recovery arrived within an hour and safely pulled our car back to safety without damage to our vehicle. Highly recommend. Absolutely disgusting business that takes advantage of people and college students to make a living. Its clear they don't have a problem sleeping at night but it is a shame to see so many businesses in Flagstaff taking advantage of college students and their parents who bring so much money to the city. My husband and I parked our car at our son's COLLEGE apartment complex to drop him off after having dinner. The Standard has a charging station so we decided to charge our Tesla a bit before heading home. The parking lot was completely empty other than a Toyota parked in the charging station next to us. We came back down an hour later to find our car had been towed by these thieves who saw a Tesla and assumed they could make a quick $320 without working to earn it and their assumptions were correct. I am sick thinking they would have towed a college students car who could not afford to get their car out of this horrible sketchy tow lot. That is exactly why they took our car and not the Toyota. There was no reason for them to tow anyones car. No one was taking anyones space. Its gross and mean. The fact that this is legal makes it even worse but The Standard will be paying us back the $320 as we will take that amount out of our sons rent. Maybe The Standard will think twice about allowing thieves to come into their lot and taking parents cars, who are keeping their apartment complex in business. These guys were beyond amazing from the dispatcher to the guys at the shop. My kids broke down on the side of the highway 40 at 2:30 am. The best my roadside assistance plan could do was send a tow truck estimated at 11am the next day. I called Flagstaff and they were able to get someone there immediately ( within the hour) and towed to their shop. This morning they were quick to diagnose our vehicle and even though we were not able to get the car repaired they gave a concise diagnosis of the issue and recommendations. My kids said they were friendly and that kept them calm during the whole ordeal. Kudos, I would definitely recommend calling them if you are in Arizona and in a bind. Thanks again!!! read more

We appreciate these guys so much! We got ourselves in a sticky situation out in the Cinders in Flagstaff and busted our Jeep. We had help from some angels from New Mexico and they met our Tow truck guy (Felix)on the trail and brought him back to where we were. He got there, assessed the situation and got to work. He got us out of there and dropped us at the hotel. We decided on a plan of how to proceed with getting the Jeep repaired. Since we are from the valley and get it worked on there, we decided to have it towed back to the valley to the shop where we get the Jeep worked on. We texted Felix and let him know what we wanted to do and that we wanted him to do it if he could. He was absolutely without question on board with helping us do that. This morning he showed up, loaded up and we hit the road. Great guy, great to work with fun to hang out with- to bad this is how we had to meet! Kudos to Felix for his training, experience and great attitude and personality to help keep in perspective our situation. Yes we were bummed our Jeep was broke, but in the end, no one was hurt and the Jeep is fixable. Great job!! Thanks again to Felix and Flagstaff Towing and Recovery. I can't believe how I was treated by this establishment I have lived in the standard for only two weeks now I'm a new resident and it's hard enough to make money as it is as a college student. But I was told by the front desk that the first floor of the parking garage was for guest parking but they forgot to mention that after 6 PM any car left on the first floor that shouldn't be there is subject to tow. Yes I realize there were signs but I was told by the front desk that guest could park there so I figured that was authorized not unauthorized we were compliant in everything, but the employee kept beating around the bush and not doing what he was supposed to the standard will be paying me back the money that was charge from the towing company which was $300 cash and they wouldn't let us set up a payment plan even though we had the registered owner I had hurt myself that night and my friends were bringing me home and taking me to my apartment to make sure I got up there safe and by the time they went to go get their car it was gone I had to walk all the way down there after injuring myself and deal with this and again we were treated with no respect we were yelled at which the employee denies I haven't got a chance to speak with the owner yet but that will happen soon it was not just me there were two other girls there as well and they will say the same thing and are also waiting to talk to the owner of the business we were compliant and ended up paying the $300 but that just seems like a scam I've had my car towed before for actually making a mistake not saying they are but this was my experience. My concern is with operations and unprofessional delivery of service. So let me set the scenario for you, it is Easter Sunday and we are moving our child into The Standard Apartments because of Corona virus is making the students be out of their dorms NAU by the April 15th. We made a few trips back and forth between the dorm and the apartment. On the third trip we picked up lunch for our Easter Meal and while it was raining we ate in my sons apartment. While we are eating, mind you the Apartment offices are closed, we were towed by Flagstaff Towing. When my wife spoke to them, my wife was rudely spoken to and told "So you thought is was a good Idea to park there". Keep in mind my son is a resident of the Apartments and he just got the keys. So after paying $320.00 to get my car back, and receiving no invoice which I asked for. I reached out to the owner to see even if he was knowing how his employee were conducting business. The owner told me that he would talk to his employee because his attitude has been a problem. I also ask for a refund and apologize to wife of how she was spoken to and how our Easter was ruined. This was April 15th. The owner also told me that he had to talk to his partner in business because he could not make any decisions without speaking to him and he would get me an invoice, he also told me he would get back to me the next day. Guess what no reply but did receive an invoice on April 20th, 8 days after the tow and with no phone call. So asks your self this with all things going on in the World today you thought it was a good idea to tow people (also 4 other vehicles) in the rain on Easter Sunday while people are visiting loved ones.
