Today's review is for the weekend buffet- current prices are 25/adult, 15/child, 6 and under free!…read moreWe thought it was a good value for our family of 4 and a great way to try different dishes/get all of the extras like Rita and naan The service was on top of it- they had plenty of servers and they were quick to clear our table while we went back for more ! I love the ambiance here- modern with all the India vibes! We enjoyed the buffet but would come back to choose the dishes we normally order next time ;)

We visited on a Saturday evening around 6:30, and the restaurant was absolutely packed. When we…read morewalked in, we were told the wait would be about 5-10 minutes, so we grabbed two seats at the bar and decided to eat there instead. There were sangria cards scattered across the bar, so that seemed like the obvious drink choice. Service was prompt, and our drinks arrived quickly. For dinner, I ordered the Lamb Shahi Korma. The creamy cashew-butter gravy was delicious, and when the bartender asked how spicy I wanted it, I said, "hot, but not Indian hot." It came with the perfect amount of heat and a great kick of flavor. I also ordered a side of garlic naan, which was outstanding. My husband ordered a chicken dish that arrived a deep pinkish-red color. It was flavorful, though I found it a little dry when I tried a bite. After noticing several people around the bar ordering Taj Mahal beer, I decided to give it a try. It was a good, easy-drinking lager with nice flavor. The bartender was incredibly busy, so another staff member brought it over. The only downside of the evening was that I had finished my water and ended up waiting about 10 minutes with nothing to drink while eating a spicy dish. I also used the restroom, which was very clean and well maintained. On my way there, I walked through the dining room and got a better sense of just how busy the restaurant was. Guests pass by the kitchen window, and I was impressed by how many staff members were working and how efficiently they seemed to handle the crowd. On the opposite wall, you can see where they set up their buffet, which I'd definitely like to come back and try. Overall, despite service slowing down a bit during the rush, the food and drinks were very good. Given how packed the restaurant was, the staff did a commendable job keeping things moving. I would definitely return.

Heartbreaking food shortages for wedding catering and poor management - Proceed with caution…read more We chose Flames Indian Cuisine for our multi-day Indian wedding based on the owner's personal assurance that because the restaurant was local, they could not run out of food. Unfortunately, the reality was a bride and groom's worst nightmare. The planning process was incredibly stressful. It took weeks to get a finalized menu or contract, and we weren't even able to settle the payment until the week before the event. Communication was consistently delayed. Despite paying for a 200-person guest count and having fewer guests than contracted, we ran out of food at nearly every event. This was witnessed by our guests, the venue staff, and our wedding planner. When we confronted the owner, he blamed our guests for "eating too much" rather than taking responsibility for under-preparing. He promised an internal investigation and a resolution within a month. It has now been three months, and despite numerous follow-ups, he has completely ignored our attempts to resolve this amicably. In Indian weddings, food is a pillar of the celebration. To have our guests waiting 10+ minutes for refills that never came was embarrassing and a clear breach of our contract. I would strongly advise any couple to look elsewhere if you want a caterer who is professional and honors their commitments.

Copper Indian Cuisine in Westchase was an excellent find…read more The restaurant is beautifully decorated -- there's a small bar when you first walk in, but the back dining area is really elegant, cozy, and thoughtfully designed. It immediately feels like a great place to sit down and enjoy a relaxed meal. Service was excellent. Our server, Dominic, was very attentive and gave helpful recommendations throughout the meal. Everything we ordered was delicious. The flavors were bold and well balanced, and the medium spice level was perfect -- flavorful with just the right amount of heat without being overwhelming. I also asked for extra yogurt sauce just in case things got spicy, and that ended up being the perfect cooling addition. What we ordered: * Taj Mahal Premium Lager -- crisp, light, and refreshing. A great pairing with the spices in the meal. * Samosa Chaat -- we were told this is a traditional Indian street food. It consisted of vegetable samosas chopped up and topped with yogurt sauce, chutneys, and special spices, creating a great balance of creamy, tangy, and savory flavors. * Garlic Naan -- warm, soft, and perfectly garlicky. * Tandoori Platter -- a generous assortment of tandoori chicken, lamb chops, and shrimp, cooked in the tandoor with beautiful smoky flavor and spices. The platter was served with basmati rice and sauces on the side, which complemented the meats perfectly. Most of the meal was gluten-free, with the exception of the naan and the samosa chaat appetizer. I do wish they offered gluten-free naan or samosas, which would make an already great menu even more accessible. They also offer weekday and weekend happy hours (I included a photo of the menu for anyone interested). We will definitely be back. This will easily become our go-to Indian restaurant in the area.

Hands down the best Indian food I have ever had. My review in summation is that this is a must try…read more We ended ordering one of the vegetarian prefix brunch menus and it was fantastic. We also did chicken 65, and a vegetable curry. The prefix menu could not have the spice level adjusted however I found it tolerable (I have a reasonably high spice tolerance) and the other items we asked for mild and they were perfect. The service was top notch. Extremely friendly and personable staff, we felt welcome from the beginning. We also had the chef come and check on us and the part that stood out to me is that everyone working here was happy and proud of their food. The interior of the restaurant is very nice. I loved the setup and the lighting. It was perfect for a romantic evening and for enjoying food with friends. I will absolutely come back. This is now one of my favorite restaurants in Tampa. The staff and excellent food made this an experience I will remember.
