Piss poor customer service. 1 hour 15 minute wait. Hello owner take a look at the garbage the children you employee send out the door. These employees are going to take you broke. I have hesitated to make this review because you're the only one that delivers to my home but after five orders in a row of subpar food and service you need to know that these losers are going to bankrupt you

Crispy outer leaves and thoroughly cooked halves. The glaze was so good and the bacon ! We were only going to eat half and bring the rest home, but we couldn't stop and ate them all! I had the chicken marsala - delish! And husband had the stuffed shells special (with crab). Just an all around lovely dinner out.

Our server, Devyn made some excellent dinner suggestions. I had my all time favorite Veal Saltimbuca. It was perfection! I am a North Jersey gal and I am accustomed to really good Italian food and Mio's surpassed my expectations. The veal was so tender, the sage sauce was beyond delicious and the spinach risotto was the icing on my cake! The portion sizes are more than adequate. One thing and my pet peeve - the side of linguini was not completely drained. My dinner companions very much enjoyed their entrees of the lasagna and the stuffed Flounder with crab royal special. Our Appy of antipasto was dressed nicely and was plentiful for three. The bread was crusty on the outside and tender on the inside. Desserts were over the top, bread pudding was so good served warm and with vanilla ice cream. We also shared the lemon berry mascarpone cake- yummy! Pistachio and espresso martinis were strong but good. We'll be back soon. Very enjoyable. My only regret was that I hadn't tried them earlier.

Our server said he had worked there for the last seven tourist seasons. The food was good. The rigatoni was perfectly al dente, and the crushed San Marzano-style sauce was delicious. Good sized bar, full service, TV's (NHL Playoffs were on) Staff were great. Side note, whomever was in charge of the playlist knew his or her assignment- well done. Very much an old Italian restaurant feel. Staff was extremely nice and attentive. And heads up the meal will arrive quickly. So do what we did. Order a drink and an appetizer then main course when ready. Portions are very generous. We had ample leftovers- see the pictures- for dinner tomorrow when we get back home.and the pricing were reasonable. The bread is crispy, fresh and warm. So to the food. All the portions are large. Calamari as an appetizer- ohhhh So good. Very light and crispy, not dense or big clumps of calamari. Sauce was spot on. Slight pepper taste to it. They had a special tonight- ossobuco (pork shank) tomato sauce and gnocchi which the mrs had- and so did four others near us. The pork was so tender and fell off the bone, very very good. I was highly encouraged to have the chicken parm. Not sure how the hell they found a chicken that big for the portion I received. Outstanding. Lightly breaded, juicy, very nice sauce and goobs of cheesy goodness.. how any human could eat this in one sitting is beyond me. We have amble leftovers for tomorrow. Mrs got cannolis to go. Pizza made on the spot.. we will be back and this spot is highly recommended.. I found the prices reasonable and better than other offerings in the area. They close at 9 so keep that in mind..

This is truly a hidden gem in DE!…read more I was visiting family over Mother's Day weekend, and we had reservations for 5pm (note: reservations are STRONGLY encouraged for prompt seating). As a Baltimore native, I'm used to the charm of the Little Italy restaurants; pulling up to La Dolce Vita had me scratching my head. It is truly not much to look at from the outside or inside, but-- as my grandmother always taught me-- never judge a book by its cover. I'm glad I didn't. The 2 polite servers were already busy when we got there, but we were seated quickly and provided with our drinks and table bread promptly. The menu is small yet cozy and familiar. The specials were relatively extensive, also (maybe for the holiday?). My family ordered 2 appetizer specials (escargot & clams casino)-- both were alright, but I'm also not a huge fan of either. Plate presentation was nothing fancy, but still looked very nice. With any entree, you receive a side salad-- a small display of fresh spring greens with tomatoes and cucumber. Don't be off-put by the packaged salad dressing. Our table ordered: lamb Ossobucco (special), veal & shrimp Marsala, and chicken parmigiana. Due to the increasing patrons, our main dishes took a little longer to come out, but it was nice to catch up with family. Again, the presentation of the main dishes were nothing gourmet, but hearty and clean. The Marsala has a sweet flavor, which is not usually how I make it, but it was still rich and tasty. I had the chicken parmigiana, and was surprised to see that the side angel hair pasta came with meat sauce-- I later realized that it's listed on the menu (oops!). Their pasta sauce is absolutely delicious, and I wish I ordered more for bread-dipping! Save room and pack up half of your meal, because you *WILL* want their delicious, homemade desserts. Our table shared tiramisu and a cannoli-- let me tell you, they put Baltimore's Vaccaro's to shame. The cannoli was probably the best I've ever had, and the tiramisu was so light and fluffy without an overwhelming coffee flavor. For 3 people (no alcoholic drinks), the total was about $150. This is incredible for the delicious food and large portions! Please please please go here for the best Italian food on the shore!

You should make a reservation first. We dined on a Thursday night at 6 and it was almost full. Yes, it's a bit dark inside but that's not a problem. Service was very good. We had generous glasses of wine with dinner and our main courses came out fairly quickly. We both had chicken piccata with pasta, preceded by a house salad. It was well done with just the right amount of breading and a nice flavor of lemon and capers. We had been wanting to try this restaurant for a long time and are glad we did.

In fact this is now our #1 Italian restaurant for happy hour. We were here on Wednesday for happy hour at the bar. I will summarize our two most recent visits here: I started with my favorite two Limontinis for $11 each. They offered a half price bottle of wine special. We opted for the Tinto Negro Malbec red wine for $40, which was discounted down to $20. The Tinto Negro tasted great. I also enjoyed my usual Bob's happy hour meatballs with crostini for $11. My total bill was $81 less gratuity. I was awarded a Local by Toast Reward program annual birthday reward credit in the amount of $10 so my bill was reduced down to $71 less gratuity. Our bartender Sabina G. applied my $10 birthday credit to my bill, which reduced it down to $71 less gratuity. I like how easy it was for me to apply for my $10 birthday credit using my mobile phone number under the Local by Toast Reward program. We returned here again in January with our friends. I enjoyed my usual two Limontinis, my Yuenling draft beer and my three Bob's meat balls. My total bile was $57.25. Sabina served us very well both times by being very customer friendly. We all agreed we will continue to return here when we are in the mood for good Italian.

We were able to get a table right away and were excited, because right when you walked in, the restaurant smelled like an authentic, amazing Italian restaurant. Unfortunately, our pizza came out about 20 minutes before the rest of the entrees. Additionally, the waitress said she did not have time to bring us bread and that it would come with the pastas. When we asked for no onions on the salad, we were told it was premade. And most disappointingly, the chicken we got as a side was not cooked. The waitress did not charge us for it but her attitude was very rude. I would definitely go back for pizza and would maybe consider carryout. Having a waitress or waiter that is hospitable and welcoming really can add to or ruin an experience. I'm confident that my experience is not typical because of how busy the restaurant was and always is.

Long time chef up in Philly, I had a good feeling he knew what he was doing. Ironically, ever since that day, I would hear people raving about Lucas. That's when I knew I had to go see what's up. My Fiancé and I reserved a pie yesterday for 3:45, kept it simple for as I always do when eating at a joint for the first time - really shows if a place can execute the simple things. Which in this case, they hit it out of the park. We sat in the car in the parking lot instead of waiting 30 mins until we got home, because I really wanted to try it fresh out of the oven. I devoured 4 slices in a matter of 15 mins. This is the best traditional pizza oven pizza I've had in Delaware, and I moved here in '06. As my Fiancé and I were feeling like we were in heaven enjoying the pie, I told her they have sandwiches as well, one of which was a Chx Caesar sub - our favorite. She insisted we get one for later, of course I agreed. I called back in and ordered it, was ready in 10 minutes. When I was handed the sandwich wrapped up, i already knew it was gonna be a hit. Thing was massive. We made it home and had our way with this sandwich. Which from the picture looks a bit messy, but it was very easy to eat and stayed together. Was delicious. This place was well worth the anticipation and excitement, they certainly delivered and we will be back to try the Tito's (Vodka Pie) and Cheesesteak. I'll be thinking about this first experience until we get back for a second time. Well done brother, yall got it going on for sure !
