The much-hyped "no printed menu" experience also fell flat, as many of the dishes were the same ones we were served during a visit one year ago. The duck, the lamb, key line and bumble berry pie. I was also surprised to see the manager working behind the bar and throughout the dining room in open-toed sandals. Whether or not it's permitted by the restaurant, I found it unprofessional and unsanitary for someone overseeing food and beverage service. I used to look forward to celebrating milestones at The Grove, but after this experience, I hope to take that tradition elsewhere. There are too many outstanding restaurants on the Eastern Shore that know how to make guests feel welcome!
