While the heart of my issue rest with KitchenAid's lack of quality, they make the problem so much worse by using Flamingo who has some techs that have no idea what they are doing. I have 7 KitchenAid appliances, all less than 1 year old, 4 of which have required service, one of which was eventually replaces. It had been serviced by Flamingo maybe 7 or 8 times before it was finally replaced. Bottom line, according to KitchenAid, Flamingo's tech kept informing KitchenAid it was working as normal. I guess its OK if it automatically shut's down. With that said, here is the problem with Flamingo. Today I am experiencing yet another no show without notification until I called them this morning. Spoke with 2 agents, different stories. NO resolution until my last call and now i have to wait for a few more days. I was on the phone with KitchenAid at 9:19 AM when their text came thru at 9:24 for the appointment from 8 AM to 4 PM. Their agent said they sent it at 9:11 before i called, an outright lie!! I was calling because i hadn't heard back.. I have a call to KitchenAid at 8:46 and they confirmed I was on the schedule today and they gave me the phone number to call Flamingo. I have a second service call for another appliance. Before i hung up about the first, i asked about my second appointment tomorrow. It wasn't until then that the agent told me, oh sorry, we wont be there tomorrow. Dispatch said no and now both are schedule for the weekend. So not only do i lose a workday, they have no problem with ruining a weekend. Lesson learned, KitchenAid NO LONGER sells quality appliances but before you buy another brand, find out who is their service agent. If Flamingo, i strongly recommend you find another appliance company that sells quality and uses service companies that care. read more

Normal guys, they came and fix everything, no big problem. I wait long time for the part tho, like really long, that was little annoying. But overall they good, did the job . I use them like year ago. Would recommend anyway. read more

Joe was fantastic. Quite a few Whirpool models have a known issue where they go into flood mode and continually try to drain. He came with the part and was in and out in 10 minutes. read more

Charged $159 to come out and not fix the refrigerator. Tried to diagnose PO intermittent error code by running diagnostics from the user control panel on the front of the unit, but no problems revealed by that route. "Tech" said we should order 3 new boards at a cost of approx. $1300 to fix the problem, but he couldn't pinpoint the problem. Refused to look beyond the display on the User Control Panel for the cause or even pull out the frig. Also told him that the water stream was weak and he refused to check the water line behind the frig. Husband had to pull out the frig himself to see the kinked line and replace himself. When I emailed Flamingo, they replied that he said I didn't mention the water stream issue or he would have looked! Lie! They were useless and refused to refund the $159! HORRIBLE COMPANY! read more

Can't believe anything they say. I was referred to Flamingo by Kitchen Aid, so I called them the last week of October. They scheduled me for Friday Oct 31st. They said I would get a time window the day before. Thursday evening I received a text from them confirming the appointment, but no time window. Friday morning I called them to ask about the time window. They told me the technician called out ill and they would not be able to make it that day, so they rescheduled me for Tuesday Nov 4th, and again said I would get a time window on Monday. Monday evening I tried calling to get my time window, waited on hold a long time. I finally texted them as they request on their hold message. Finally at 6:57 PM, Monday evening, I get a text with a time window for Tuesday between 12-3:00 PM. At 5:19 PM on Tuesday, I texted them again to let them know the technician never showed up, nor did I receive a call. Finally on Wednesday morning at 8:06 they text me to let me know the technician had called out ill as well, so they reschedule me for Nov 7th. I took the day off to wait for their tech on the 31st, wasted an afternoon waiting on the 4th. They claim they sent a text at 9:51 AM, when the tech called out, I checked the text history three times and there is no text letting me know of the cancellation on any day. They should have called anyway. I thought that in the spirit of providing good customer service and accepting responsibility, they would perhaps offer some type of discount on their service call fee, not a chance. Or, if they know they screwed me on the 31st, a supervisor should pick up the slack for the ill technician and handle some service calls to make sure you fulfill your commitment on the 4th. It's hard to believe anything these people say anymore. Why would I believe they will actually show up on the 7th. Time to call a company with some credibility, integrity and that actually answers the phone. Not sure why my profile shows me from San Francisco, I'm in Naples, FL. Never lived in SF. Last night there was a loud noise in our kitchen during our sleep. We observed the exterior glass of the Amana stove door separated from it's secured position of the oven door per attached photographs. This hazard was immediately communicated to the the appliance company we have come to discover is a subsidiary of Whirlpool per the supervisor, Desira. She initiated (reference 7740726857) a service request. It is a mystery how this segment of the appliance is supposed to remain sealed to the door, there are no screw attachments, suction, evidence of two-sided adhesiveness, appearance of commercial glue, absolutely nothing that gives indication of intent to secure safely for consumer use. Evidence of severe rust to material described as stainless steel (when we know stainless steel does not rust) is visible on three (1)-inch metal stripes that appears to attach the glass to the oven door, the parameter of the metal that surrounds the glass, the internal oven door hinges, the metal that surrounds the internal glass that faces the inside of the oven, and the horizontal metal frames on top and below the exterior glass. How unsafe and unstable is this heavy exterior glass that is propped by a chair, no same day. The experience to make this report was horrendous as a first time customer, the front line agents cared little to none about why the customer was calling, blind transfer to/from departments' agents who will not listen, are verbally abusive, and combative (two males and one female). A little probing skills would have proved productive. We got a commitment from one of two supervisors (Judith) to call us back before the close of business to provide tech name, ID no, and timeframe from 8am-4pm, no courtesy. We called again at 4:28pm, provided our address, he could not find our service request. A random text came through simultaneously (see attached) which again shows no respect for the hazard and customer's safety who knowing who is going to arrive to the home. We will update with how this experience shows the type of in-home service we propose will also be deplorable. Let's place a bet on this first time experience. read more
