After reading his reviews on Google, I thought I would give him a call, many people had a lot of nice things to say about him) I have to admit, I am always gun shy about calling repairman as I have had some pretty bad experiences in the past. I gave Greg a call and left a message, literally 2 minutes later he called me back, I couldn't believe it. Greg took his time with me over the phone and walked me few a few things trouble shooting the problem. He then told me that he thought he knew what the issue was and would be at my house within the hour, and he was. Greg came in, diagnosed are problem and was able to fix our refrigerator on the spot. Turned out the storm last night was the culprit and fried a part. Greg has to be the best repairman out there, he is honest, kind, courteous and extremely patient and what I expected it to cost me to fix, Greg didn't even come close, his rates are surprisingly reasonable for appliance repair. The technician was at our home for about 30 minutes and, to the best of our observation, did not open the machine or perform what we would consider a thorough inspection before offering an opinion. The interaction itself was just as concerning. When my wife asked reasonable, straightforward questions, the technician responded with, "I'm the professional." We perceived his tone as dismissive and condescending. It raised a serious concern for us that he may have been talking down to her, and in our opinion, it felt as though she was not being taken seriously--possibly because she is a woman. When I contacted the company afterward to address these concerns, the response from ownership, in my opinion, was defensive and unproductive. Rather than working toward a resolution, I was told, in substance, that I was "too cheap to do the diagnostic myself," which I found both inaccurate and unprofessional. Based on our experience, and after reviewing other publicly available customer feedback, it is our opinion that the $125 diagnostic fee did not reflect the level of service provided. This review reflects our personal experience and opinions only. Others may have different experiences, but we strongly encourage potential customers to clearly understand what the diagnostic process includes before agreeing to service.
