Another great stay at Desert Blue! We came back for another stay and, once again, had a pretty…read moresmooth experience from check-in to checkout. Check-in was easy. We picked up our room-key wristbands at the concierge desk, and members can get discounts on shows. Bonus points: they didn't try to talk us into a presentation. We appreciated the peaceful start to our vacation! There's also a chilled-water dispenser in the lobby, which is basically liquid gold after being out in the Vegas heat. ‍‍‍ Keeping the family together Our biggest relief was getting all of our rooms on the same floor. When you're traveling with family, not having to send people up and down different floors feels like winning a small jackpot. One thing to know: the valet guys are the only ones allowed to bring your belongings to your room using the trolley carts. Please tip them kindly! We actually parked our car ourselves in the back, but the valet attendant still met us at our room and helped us unload everything. That was definitely appreciated after hauling all the family luggage around. The rooms had pretty much everything we needed Our rooms were pretty clean and nicely equipped. We had: * Hot tub * Stand-up shower with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash * Laundry room + 2 detergent packs * Full kitchen with plates, flatware, pots, pans, paper towels, kitchen towels, dish soap, and a sponge * Plenty of blankets and towels * And -- my favorite -- the A/C was already running when we arrived! That last one might sound like a tiny thing, but walking into a cool room instead of a Vegas sauna? Chef's kiss. The one thing I'd like to see improved is the shower doors. They could definitely use a more thorough scrub on both the inside and outside to tackle the soap scum. ‍ Pool time! We all enjoyed the pool music, lounge chairs, and complimentary towels. The pools aren't very deep, which is nice for families. Also, BRING YOUR FLIP-FLOPS TO THE EDGE OF THE POOL. The shallow water means the pool floor gets HOT under that Vegas sun. Your feet will go from "I'm relaxing" to "WHY ARE MY FEET ON FIRE?" pretty quickly. Keep those flip-flops nearby! Shuttle tip -- don't miss the last one! The shuttle can take you to Smith's (the local grocery store) and Treasure Island. Definitely check the shuttle schedule when you arrive and, most importantly, pay attention to the last pickup time. Because nobody wants their grocery run to accidentally turn into a long walk back to the resort. Express checkout = YES PLEASE We loved the express checkout. When you're ready to leave, the last thing you want is another line or a complicated checkout process. Grab your stuff and go! One little wedding tip If you or someone in your party is getting married during the stay, tell the front desk when you check in. You'll want to make sure they know about it from the beginning. Overall, another enjoyable stay at Desert Blue. It's not perfect -- there are a few things that could use some attention -- but the thoughtful touches, helpful staff, convenient amenities, and having our whole family together on one floor made this another stay we were happy with. Would we stay again? Absolutely.

I appreciated the hotel is located far enough from chaos and noise from the strip, and only a short shuttle ride away when we wanted to visit the action. The accommodations were excellent- the deluxe room was satisfactory, although I wouldn't necessarily call it "deluxe". For what I was expecting, I was a bit let down that it didn't have a roomier layout. The ceilings were low, which left me feeling a teeny bit claustrophobic. The deluxe 1 bedroom included a king sized bed, full kitchen with stove, fridge, microwave, dishwasher etc., 1 full bathroom with shower, commode and sink and a separate sink and tub which were enclosed in the main bedroom. Washer and dryer discreetly tucked away in bathroom nook. The sofa bed in the living room area converted into a comfy sleeping area. The facilities were fairly new looking and exceptionally clean, which I loved. The Wyndham Desert Blue is a timeshare/hotel so it didn't have the conveniences of room service or maid service, which is one of the perks I missed. But overall, the accommodations were really nice- complimentary hourly shuttle which takes you to the Las Vegas Strip, as well as the market to purchase groceries, entertainment room, kids club, gym, convenience store which sold Starbucks coffee. I didn't feel like I was lacking anything. The ladies at the check in counter were super friendly and helpful. I told them I was not interested in listening to the timeshare presentation and they were not pushy at all. The best part was their pool, which in the middle of June was just perfect! They have a bar, cabanas, cornhole area and a couple hot tubs as well as 2 large, well kept pools. My son enjoyed spending the majority of his time lounging out at the pool. We also enjoyed the game room which housed card games, checkers, foosball, pool table, kids club, arcade games. The lady who ran the kids club was super sweet and snapped pics of my son and I playing Uno, and she taught my kid how to make braided lanyards. Overall, we had an amazing time! Half a star deducted for the disappointing deluxe room and also the rude housekeeper named Lili who yelled at me while I was using the ladies restroom with 5 stalls because she was cleaning it. She had just finished cleaning one of the stalls and there were no signs up saying "closed" and I happened to be sitting on the toilet she just finished cleaning and she told me I had to LEAVE AS I WAS SITTING ON THE COMMODE. I was confused because I just saw that she had cleaned it and there were no signs indicating guests could not be in there. I thought this was especially rude to YELL at a paying guest who was having a bladder emergency! Other than that incident, we had a great time!

I immediately contacted Signature Rental and their response was less than desired. They told us no housekeeping staff were on location and they would be back at the hotel at 11 am the next day. Me and 3 of my guests were then forced to sleep next to a used condom with a smell of bodily fluids wafting from the vase. In the morning, we left as soon as possible to get out of the filthy room and waited for the room to be cleaned. I got a message from Signature Rental around 1:30 asking me to send a picture of the condom to prove there is an issue... i was floored. Not only have they still not cleaned our room, they need picture evidence to give the room a once over...After i told them i did not feel comfortable taking a picture of someone's used condom, they sent a snarky message about leaving our do not disturb light was on... Sorry, was in a bit of a hurry to get out of our petri dish of a room to check the do not disturb light. Later when returning to the room, we saw there was no signs of actually cleaning that happened, not even the beds were made. Surprisingly, the condom was gone. And the worst part? Not a single refund or anything comped. Am i crazy, or does forcing guests to sleep in a room with a condom not justify a free night at least? I assumed rental companies had some sort of morals for having people sleep in decently cleaned rooms, but not these guys.

The room we were assigned did not match the photos or description on the listing. The windows were completely blocked, leaving the room feeling fully enclosed. This was never disclosed before booking. I have claustrophobia, and upon entering the room I experienced a panic attack. I immediately informed the property and requested that the reservation be canceled because I could not safely stay in that room. Instead of showing empathy or offering a reasonable solution, the staff were rude and dismissive. I also contacted Booking.com while I was still at the property. Based on the guidance I received, I left the hotel and had to urgently find another place to stay late at night while traveling alone with my two young children. This caused significant stress and unexpected financial loss. My biggest concern is that this type of room is not clearly disclosed in the listing. Guests deserve accurate photos and descriptions, especially when conditions like blocked windows or enclosed rooms could have a serious impact on someone with claustrophobia or other medical conditions. I strongly urge future guests to read reviews carefully before booking this property. Transparency and guest safety should always come before misleading listings. I hope both the property and Booking.com take this seriously so that no other family has to go through what we experienced.

She is a hospice graduate, a mother of five and a grandmother of five. She decided to book 2 hotel rooms at the Wyndham in Las Vegas on Harmon Avenue so that we could all be together and celebration of her birthday. We did not know that this was a timeshare hotel or that she would be aggressively approached by the salesman with these timeshare offers. My sister and I went in with her and our 3 kids to this 9am timeshare seminar, led by very attractive and well dressed groups of people. Everything seemed too good to be true. They kept bringing down the price of the total timeshare and gave her VIP upgrades and all sorts of perks and upgraded point packages due to it being her birthday and the fact that we all worked in healthcare. She had made it through several levels of the process and moved from room to room with different salesman. She began to feel very uncomfortable and she was insecure with her final decision, so she pulled out and said she had, had enough. By this time they had already got her personal information and they decided to open a credit card in her name anyway. Furthermore, they fraudulently signed for this credit card with someone else's signature that was not my mother's own. That same afternoon I went down before they all went home for the day and filed an incident report with the director of the timeshare operations department. I took a picture of the report I filled out and followed up today with a voicemail left for those same directors, Marcus Stone and Troy Patterson. What happen this weekend is unlawful and fraudulent. We come to find that they do have an active class action lawsuit against them for these very sinister acts. Although the hotel in hospitality was great the aspect of these timeshare sharks really threw a wrench in our very short family trip. We are disgusted by the fact that they moved forward with something that was completely turned down. Beware the Whyndham timeshare representatives. If you are naïve and going in to stay at this hotel for the sake of price or the fact that they have condos that can accommodate larger families, beware that they will try to hustle you to purchase one of their worldwide international timeshare packages. If we knew then what we know now, we would have bypassed staying there altogether.
