Cowboy burger is amazing. The daily lunch specials are typically quite tasty.

Tyranena Painted Ladies Pumpkin Spice Ale: Although I've become less of a beer guy since my college…read moredays, I like to try at least one new pumpkin beer each fall. Tyranena was founded in Lake Mills, WI by Rob Larson in 1999. Although that's within my lifetime, it was well before my beer drinking days. Painted Ladies Pumpkin Spice Ale (PLPSA) comes in at an above average 7.25% ABV with an IBU of 22. The bottle depicts multiple pumpkins painted with makeup to resemble women. The term "Painted Ladies" has a few different meanings. It was chosen for Lake Mill's "The Painted Ladies Fling" because the word is often used for Victorian and Edwardian buildings that are painted in ways that help to enhance their architectural details. The fling helps to highlight business and building owners who have embellished and enhanced their buildings throughout the year. Alternatively, it can be used as a synonym for prostitute, and that's why it was chosen for this ale as some of the more adventurous women in Lake Mills dress as painted ladies during the Fling event. PLPSA is an amber ale that pours an opaque copper color with surprisingly little head. There are notes of caramel and toffee, along with pumpkin pie spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and clove). I found this to be an easy beer to drink as the none of the flavors were overly pronounced (although this could also be a criticism for some). I would say it's a relatively average pumpkin beer, but that's high praise from someone who doesn't drink much beer. Doughboy approved Doughboy_Food_Reviews My favorite Pumpkin Beers: 1. It was a great little hangout spot to rest & recharge. Food and beverages were available but we just had to order at the bar (no table service when we dined here which was perfectly fine). The IPA tasted more like a pale ale but hit the spot. The food was flavorful and hit the spot! Satisfying portions and yummy vegetarian options. We each ordered two tacos and shared a half pan of loaded nachos (we did the sweet potato vegetarian nacho option). There's limited indoor seating at the front and a larger seating space out back including an outdoor patio space that has tables with umbrellas. We sat out back indoors. The flies were bad but it's that time of year. There's a board game shelf, water station and lots of posters advertising fun weekly activities. I loved how kid/baby friendly the place was. They had high chairs and a changing table in one of the restrooms plus they offer kids eat free deals on Thursdays. We lucked out and came here when it was relatively slow. When we left, the bar was jam packed and while service moved it understandably slowed down. Our only regret was not purchasing a Sunshine Brew Co hat before leaving. Guess that means we will have to make a return visit one day!

Both meals were underwhelming. The cod didn't taste great, only 2 of 3 eaten. Very light batter. Not crispy. Flavor different in batter. The fried were completely soggy/oily. Coleslaw warm with not much flavor. The shrimp were nothing special. Flat shrimp you can buy in the freezer section. The cocktail sauce was very weird. Runny. We almost thought it as salad dressing or something. Tots were good. The cottage cheese was awful and we spit it out. Was like warm curdled yogurt. It was so bad. The highlight was the bun. Super soft. We ended up grabbing butter and jelly and enjoying that the most. Definitely missed the mark.
