I just reiterated i didn't like it and won't be consuming either so please take it back. We finished our food and no one ever came to our table again- while the workers were walking around helping the 5 other tables or talking amongst themselves. After sitting for 15+ minutes with our finished food, I just went to the front and waited for someone to check us out. I don't recommend this place and will not be back.

The avocado was smashed like avocado toast. The bread was broken and torn when cut, and the presentation was lousy. As a benchmark, the BLT at Dyan's in Coral Springs blows it away. We did not order bagels, they are $2 each, $3 for flagels and $1 for minis. $25 a bakers dozen. That is INSANE, among the highest bagel prices I've seen locally (I think H&H in Boca is slightly more) We only got a few to go. If you order one at the table it is $4. Before going to the Flashback Diner again, consider that these issues did not occur overnight and at what point did the Ownership/Management decide that it was not important for the patrons of their restaurant(s) to dine in a place that upholds Health Department Regulations and basic cleanliness standards, compromising their integrity. ***Flashback Diner 220 S. My last experience at Flashback Diner was somewhat mixed. While the service was commendable, with attentive and friendly staff, the food left much to be desired. I found the dishes to be lackluster and not up to par with my expectations. On the bright side, the good service did help make the meal a bit more enjoyable. Regarding the ambiance, I was taken aback when I realized my party was the only one in the entire diner. The lack of other customers gave the place an eerie and deserted feel, which affected the overall dining atmosphere. I would have preferred a livelier ambiance to enhance the dining experience. In summary, while the service was good, the food quality and the quiet ambiance with no other diners took away from what could have been a more enjoyable visit to Flashback Diner. People at this restaurant are thieves. I went here with a group of friends and my boyfriend after leaving Amsterdam Night Club, we spent a good amount of money on food and even had the nerve to leave a great tip per person. We left the restaurant got into the uber and about a mile away my boyfriend realized he left his Ray Bans on the table, the uber driver refused to turn around so we decided we would call in the morning, everyone seemed pretty honest. Called in the morning no one knows anything about a pair of Ray Bans being left behind and to call the night shit. Long story short, we've called 5 times and even got in contact with someone who said that they would review camera footage and get back with us, that was 2 days ago. Clearly the server we had or the bus boy stole the glasses off the table, it wouldn't have been a big deal if they were random Ray Bans, but these are pricey. Flashback gets 5 stars from me!! What's been my Grandmothers go-to restaurant for ages, I finally understand why. I live in East Fort Lauderdale and came to Hallandale to spend some much needed quality time with Grandma. My family has a strange affinity for diners which wasn't passed down to me- I figured, you've seen one, you've seen 'em all. Maybe that applies to the rest, but I genuinely loved Flashback!! I think what made the experience top notch, was our server, Gina. Grandma never runs dry of questions and Gina was patient, informative and friendly in answering each one. Her recommendations were just as great as she described (chicken, avo, bacon sandwich, people!!) Gina was so attentive and genuine, she's the kind of server that would keep you coming back to a place knowing she'd make you and any guests you bring feel comfortable and welcome. read more

This diner is runned by racist people. When we walked in the woman at the front gave my wife a dirty look as if we came in to dine and dash. Me and my family of 4 placed our order and waited for 1hr and 20 mins and never received our food. Instead our waitress who tried to get our food kept apologizing for the wait. When she offered to tell the manager a d have her come to our table she refused and claimed she was cooking. We could see from the window the ticket kept getting pushed to the back. Yet every person that wasn't a person of color got there door. I guess my green money didn't put shine my black skin. If could give minus stars this place would definitely receive it. In today climate and in south Florida you'd think it would be a melting pot. Instead of being another means of lynching people of colors right to fair treatment. read more

Hands down the best experience I have ever had at a diner. Not only was the staff incredibly attentive and engaging, but the food was absolutely delicious. Portion sizes were generous, the decor was really impressive and the overall vibe was very pleasant. Generally speaking, when you roll into a diner at 2am, you don't necessarily have the highest expectations when it comes to service but the Flashback Diner really blew me out of the water. As someone who works in hospitality management, I rarely post on Yelp but the quality of my experience at the Flashback Diner was so high I felt compelled to compliment the establishment. We recently visited this old American diner and was happy with my chicken and waffles and meat omelet. Both dishes were cooked well and had good flavor. However, the avocado toast was a bit of a disappointment. It was bland and didn't have much avocado on it. The hot chocolate and coffee float were also a letdown. Both drinks were very bland and tasted like they were made with low-quality ingredients. Despite these issues, the diner has a nice atmosphere and the staff was friendly. I would recommend giving it a try, but perhaps sticking with the more traditional dishes and avoiding the avocado toast and specialty drinks. read more

This was one of the worst experiences I ever had. I asked for a booth seat and they said, "You have to ask for that when u first come in" like its a vip club. Then they offered me two tables by the bathroom. Not complete booths and then i finally tell them to sit me where they promised.
