As an RN in a military family, I care about safety, fairness, and respect for healthcare workers, firefighters, law enforcement, & military families in our community & let me tell you, this failed big time. I had the misfortune of riding in a shop rental car from this business with a coworker whom was having her car repaired here & it was a nightmare. First of all, the tire blew out while we were going 60 mph on the freeway. We almost crashed into the guard rail, which could have maimed or killed me & even her. Luckily, we made it off the exit, but we had to cross two lanes to pull over. It was a close call. I don't want to be too harsh, but this experience was really was a nightmare for me & I can tell it was for her. I'm just glad we made it out alive. During our 3hr drive to our local travel job she said the headlight was burnt out but they fixed it. Apparently not because we found out it was still out on the Keller Ferry. I mean, come on, Flash's Auto Body & Paint, get your act together. The way they treated my friend was just plain wrong. They promised a $15 a day rental deal but they exceeded the promised price when they arranged the Enterprise vehicle for her & they refused to disclose this to her when she emailed them & asked them if they were still honoring the rental rate. The original loaner they provided was unsafe! I mean, what kind of place doesnt honor a daily rental rate after their own rental puts their customer and a passenger in danger of death? Her own brother is a mechanic in W WA & is appalled. He said none of this has happened to any customer of his in the 15 years he's been running a shop but if it had he'd refund a customer in full for an unsafe vehicle & honor the $15 a day rental rate. If Flash's Auto Body & Paint would have even responded to the poor girls vehicle to notify her of what they were charging she could have used her USAA discount for the Enterprise Rental on her own or she could have chose another rental car agency that would fit her budget. Flash's never responded. They also would not email her total until 10 minutes before closing the day before they were done with her vehicle. To top it all off, they seem to have no concern for safety in their shop. My friend and her mom found razor blades on the floor in their front office twice after notifying the front desk staff a separate time. 3 razor blades on the floor! Imagine getting a razor blade in the foot. They seem to get kicked over from the shop since the wall doesn't meet the floor. It's clear that this business is run in a deeply inconsiderate & unsafe manner & reviews are friends or paid for. It's a shame that my friend had to pay $2500 over the estimate & endure such poor treatment. It's my sincere hope others will steer clear of this auto body place & find a more respectful & responsible business. read more

When my truck was scratched down to the metal on a couple of panels, I jumped online and searched Google for "BEST AUTO PAINT SPOKANE". I have been burned by too many service providers in Spokane, so I researched each of the top results, read reviews, looked at their website, read more reviews, looked at before/after photos... Probably exactly what you are doing right now. From my internet research, it was clear Flash's stood head and shoulders above the rest. Let me just get this out of the way, incase you don't want to read a wall of text: My family will never, EVER bring our vehicles anywhere else for paint / auto body repairs. Flash's is the best. Period. The second I walked in the front door, I was met with a smile and very friendly service. Although they were very busy, the woman at the front desk (Kristin?) was extremely professional, polite and immediately assisted me. Other staff who were just arriving to work were smiling and seemed happy to be at work. In an industry where details matter, it's very reassuring to see a team who seem very comfortable in their environment. Within hours of the initial look at my truck, Flash's delivered a full written estimate of the work involved, the cost, and when I could expect to pick my truck up. Even though I later added an additional request to remove and restore my rear bumper, Flash's still delivered a perfect product within their estimated time. I'll cut to the chase: Flash's handled the insurance claims.... Flash's contacted the rental service and helped arrange my ride.... But MOST IMPORTANTLY, Flash's took my 4-door, BLACK pickup truck, complete with 3 year old swirled, scratched, and neglected paint, for a couple of days, and returned it looking more beautiful than I have ever seen it. The interior was immaculate, the exterior was better than I ever hoped for.... These guys are the best. Save yourself some time: stop reading reviews and give Flash's a call right now. I brought my car in following some damage that occurred during the snowfall. My rocker panels were wrecked from the snow berms that the City piles up in front of driveways. Inevitably, it froze over and became near impossible to clear entirely. The last time my car needed bodywork, I had taken it into one of those insurance-preferred shops and the end result was a bumper that did not match the color of the rest of my car. That's what I get for going to an insurance-preferred shop that likely used aftermarket or used parts to fix my car... This time, I decided to take it to a locally owned and operated shop thinking my car would see better care and attention than a insurance-preferred shop. I was definitely correct on that assumption. My car was brought in, every repair was made aware to me, they kept me updated on the progress of my car (despite there being a number of other vehicles being worked on at the same time), and were always courteous. The shop took apart my car to see if there was any other damage hiding behind pieces and made sure that once it left the shop, there were absolutely no issues with my vehicle. When I received my car back, it had been washed and detailed entirely, and looked like it just rolled off the lot. The two rocker panels that were replaced looked like they had been there all along; the paint color even matched perfectly! It's simple: there is no comparison between a franchised, insurance-preferred auto body shop and a locally owned and operated one. By going out of your way to get a quote from a place like Flash's, you now that you are going to get the best service, parts directly from the manufacturer, and the care we all like when going through a stressful situation like getting your car repaired. I was visiting Spokane for the first time when I had the misfortune of a driver sideswiping me sending driver's side door window glass showering in on me. The driver sped away without leaving information. Frustrated, I called the police and filed the report. The next problem that presented itself was I was missing the driver's window, had glass all over the passenger compartment, and had a 10 hour drive home ahead of me. I didn't want to leave the car in Spokane for repairs as that meant I would have to return to get it. Someone on scene said that if anyone could get me on the road safely and in a timely manner, Flash's could. When I arrived and explained my situation, everyone was pulled from the job they were doing. Within 30 minutes my car was completely vacuumed and rid of glass, the safety of the door was checked, and a clear covering expertly placed where the window should be to keep the wind and rain off of me and yet still allow me to see my mirror. When I asked how much I owed them for getting me back on the road within half an hour the response flattened me. NOTHING. Not one hard earned dollar. I was floored. After thanking them profusely and leaving what I hope was enough cash for lunch for everyone getting me out of their so quickly, I got home safely. The hit and run soured me on Spokane. Flash's renewed my faith in the city. Knowing that there are still people that care, aren't afraid to work hard, who do excellent work and are mindful of your safety is something that you simply don't find anymore. However, I found that at Flash's, and would certainly recommend them to anyone in need of body work or paint. Ryan is a great guy. We were involved in an accident. Due to some insurance issue, we had to pay fixing cost out of our own pocket. It's an expensive Mercedes ML350, and the preliminary estimation from the Mercedes body shop is very high. I found Ryan hoping to get an affordable fix. Ryan did help me find a cheaper solution by using used parts and after-market parts. He also gave me advices like using used parts for internal things and original new parts for external things (like hood), so that we can keep the cost low and still the car looks good. In the end, the quote based on used parts is still too high for me, so I decided to tow the car all the way from Spokane to Seattle where a local body shop was able to find some MB parts from some special channel. Even though Ryan spent lots of time inspecting my car and doing research on the parts, he didn't charge me anything. He even waived the cost of towing my car from Spokane MB body shop to his place. In the very beginning, he said "If I can't find a solution that meets your needs, I won't charge you anything". He did what he said, even though I felt I should pay him. He is such a great guy thinking about his customers. During the whole time, I communicated with him only over the phone and I never saw him, because I was in Seattle and my car was in Spokane. It's so nice to be able to find a trust worthy person to take care of your car 400 miles away while you can't get there. read more

Ive been going to flash's since i could drive and my dad has been going before me. and i have always had good service there. I wrecked my BMW a year or so ago and Tom at flash's fixed it and was good fun to deal with, so when the snow hit and i hit someone;( i knew just were to go. But much to my surprise flash's is under new ownership...I was skeptical. I was greeted by a cheerful adorable receptionist and everything was clean and freshly painted (bathroom included) and decorated with some pretty awesome vintage signs and coke machines.. so far so good but how were the new owners what was the quality of the work..still skeptical..It wasnt long after my arrival that I was greeted by the new owners, a father and son team respectively Brian and Ryan. They both were really nice, they took time to inspect my car write a thorough sheet and explain everything to me. Tom was still aroundish just physically cant be doing this work all the time and i dont think he could of found a better pair of guys to continue his legacy. My car was fixed really fast and the quality was great they even fixed some rock chips detailed it for free! and double bonus ryan is a certifed BMW with like 15 something years experience. I've dealt with Flash's twice now and from the second you go in you just know overwhelmingly that you are dealing with good honest people!!! They don't run your car thru an assembly line like most body shops do now to make the big bucks. They do an excellent job on your car and I've had another experience with a Spokane well recommended body shop by the insurance co. that didn't go well for my car and body work. They asked me if I had time for them to wash my car the other day at the end of my body work experience and took my car in their shop and spiffed it all up! I was first impressed with their online reviews. As a business owner myself I know how hard it is to please everyone. Post repair I see why they have such great reviews. The quality of their work is second to none. My vehicle was returned in factory new condition, right down to the complete detailing of my vehicle, both inside and out. We live in a rural area and durning our present winter conditions both the inside and outside was filthy but returned immaculate. The next thing that struck me was how polite and professional their staff was. Ryan, the owner was awesome. We had a very minor issue with the payments from my insurance company but he handled it like he was the customer. I can't even express how happy I am that I ran across these guys online. I got into my first accident a few Friday's ago and was unable to make it into a shop until Saturday for an estimate. They were able to get me in quickly and get me done quickly. This was a very traumatic experience and I was having a hard time with it but Ryan made the process easy and calm. I have high expectations of work and when a deer hit our car and needed 6k in front end repairs we decided to give Flash a try. I have to say I am very impressed. First, Ryan gave me his personal cell phone number. The color match was spot on. Used OEM parts. Touched up other chips outside of the accident area. Helped with the rental car. Handled the entire process end to end. What really impressed me was the effort they put into getting the gaps right. Being of high expectations I called them on it and they went through it a second time. Ryan was very concerned with our happiness. Also they brought to our attention prior damage and worked to improve on that as well. I'm impressed and that's saying a lot. About the only downsides are over crowded parking and they are busy. This is an amazing shop. Tucked away from the main strip of body shops but well worth it! After having been rear ended and fixing what I thought to be the only damage (a cracked drivers side tail light) there was more damage than originally thought. The mechanic who fixed the tail light showed me damage to my cars body that needed fixing or else I'd have a wet trunk. That's where flash's comes into play - thanks to yelp they were my collision repair shop of my choice. Very grateful to have come across honest and trustworthy people, with my best interest in their minds. Car was in and out of the body shop in less than a week! My BMW was unfortunately damaged in a parking lot mishap and was in need a new bumper (argh!). I started searching online for an autobody shop and asked a few local German autoshops for recommendations and landed on Ryan's shop. His passion for cars (and especially BMWs) was immediately clear (and infectious). He provided a fair quote and also proved himself as a subject matter expert by quickly identifying why another quote I received for the work was not accurate (there were several additional steps the other shop wasn't aware that were needed). Ryan delivered the work ahead of schedule and under budget, but more importantly the work was immaculate (he even washed/cleaned the inside of my car better than any local car wash shop). By far one of the best customers experience that I ever deal with, Ryan is very knowledgeable, I brought my BMW F10 to be painted, after doing research and looking at review I gave them a tried. Ryan was certified and he was BMW tech over in Arizona for a long time. If you have a BMW don't not worry this guy know everything about them! I was afraid to let any other shop work on it because it was a more complex car. There was many problems with my case and Ryan was able to help me and guide me to the process of getting it fix. My 3 day old Mercedes was hit by a large stone or rock and punched a hole in the roof. I was pretty bummed not at the damage but worried about how messed up the car would get at the body shop. I was totally blown away when I picked my car up yesterday at Flash's Auto Body. I couldn't be happier. The repair was perfect!! Not only that but they had "detailed" my entire car. Not that it needed it but it was returned to me cleaner than it was when it was given to them. Eric the manager and Ryan the owner couldn't have been more professional in how they dealt with me and the insurance company. Ryan was absolutely fabulous to work with, I have a hyundai tucson that had a collision with a deer, didn't do much damage except cracking the front bumper. Stopped by Flash's on a friday late afternoon, the shop was officially closed but ryan came out and asked if I could come back monday he thought perhaps he had something at home he could use to fix my bumper (he knew I was paying out of pocket). Came back Monday and he fixed me right up....fantastic service!!! I needed a WWII-era aluminum footlocker painted and polished for a military retirement gift. Two other paint shops had turned down the job as too complex and not worth their time. Flash's team looked at it and said that they would make it happen, even though they would have to do a little adapting as they went. This "can do" attitude and willingness to work on something new and different says volumes about this business and the amazing people that work there. They did an incredible job and the final product is going to be a truly one-of-a-kind memento. I recently had my 2015 Volt, that had been rear ended, repaired. They did an excellent job with the repair. They were careful to keep me informed as needed while the repair was being completed and stood up to the insurance company when it was trying to cut corners on the repair. I will be going back to them in the future if I am unfortunate to have a need of their collision repair services in the future. I won't have to worry who has my back with Flash's Auto Body and Paint. My car has a triple coat paint job I liked very much when I bought the car. It is more difficult than most to get right but Flash's went the distance to get it right the first time.
