And God help you if you happen by while they are cleaning, because you will get hit with a cloud of meaty cleaner solution steam, and the stoned teenager behind the counter DOES NOT care, which seems to be a sentiment from top to bottom in that department. Tupelo has a small but well-thought out and creative menu... Steaks, wild game, fish and seafood options, etc. You're never rushed at Tupelo and the service is very attentive. Definitely recommend a reservation because the restaurant can get busy. If you're looking for a higher-end dinner, Tupelo is it when in Whitefish.

I don't have too many feelings about an Albertson's since they went extinct in my home state, but on this same trip we also saw a flagship Albertsons in Idaho... and the contrast was pretty stark. I think the small size and dated-ness to this spot had its own charm but I also popped into a store on the new side of town later on that night (can't get enough of run-to-the-store-quick trips on a road trip) and it was pretty darn nice.
