Consistently Great Food & Service We visit Himalayan Kitchen for special occasions because it's on the pricier side for Montana, but it's worth it. Our go-to dishes are always the chicken biryani, naan, mango lassi, and chicken tikka masala but this time we tried the butter chicken and vegetable samosas, and they were amazing. The flavors are always spot-on, and the service is fantastic. This restaurant has a cozy and warm vibe that makes it feel inviting and comfortable. It's the kind of atmosphere where you can relax and enjoy a leisurely meal with friends or family. Pro tip: If you're not into too much spice, choose level 1 (mild). Level 2 has a kick that lingers, perfect for spice lovers! Highly recommend it if you're in the mood for great Indian food in Kalispell, MT.

The food was delicious! We had the chicken pakoda as an appetizer and chicken kadai with rice and garlic naan as our main. Very flavorful! The staff was also friendly and attentive.

Looking for a family owned and different style restaurant for dinner in Kalispell, MT. Himalayan Kitchen fit the bill. The flavors here a Nepalese, curries, and Indian style foods. The building is a free standing building but in need of some updating. The staff was informative as to dining choices. We ordered the basil / garlic Naan that was delicious. The chicken coconut korma was rich and tasty. It contained an abundance of soft / savory chicken. The chicken biryani was tasty and flavor packed. Overall, Himalayan Kitchen provides good food, reasonably priced and generous quantities.

This Himalayan restaurant has fantastic food with flavors that pop and generous portions. The menu is extensive and offers a large selection of vegetarian options as well. We tried the chicken pakoda, saag paneer, mango chicken and their house specialty now and which has cherries and coconut for dessert. The service was fantastic and our drinks were always full. The restaurant is very clean and everyone who works here is from nepal. The menu is so expensive you would have to eat here at least 20 times to try half of the menu. We left with a box of leftovers and we stuffed ourselves. We definitely will come back again!

This location came up as indian food. However this is more of Nepali cuisine. Nepal is a country north east of India and is known for Himalayas. Nepali cuisine when compared to Indian is simpler with less elaborate spices. We ordered 2 paneer dishes and one dal with some Indian bread. We selected medium spice. For those who are somewhat tolerant to hot food there is flexibility to kick the spice level a notch. The food resembled a preparation where various ingredients are combined at the last minute. spinach paneer had no taste and would resemble pieces of indian cheese thrown into frozen spinach thawed without cooking for some time. Quantity was substantial. Food did not have any flavor.

Food is outstanding! Service friendly and welcoming! Definitely worth checking out! My 4 year old daughter loved the cheesy naan bread

I really enjoyed my time here! The food was so delicious, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was decently pleasant. I only brought my review down to a 4 because it took a while to place our orders and something about the space seemed.. unfinished. I wish I knew what it was but it kind of felt like it was mid-remodel. Still really pleasant and worth the trip! I'll definitely keep Himalayan Kitchen in mind next time I'm in town!

I can't believe this amazing gem has been in Kalispell for over a year! The service is outstanding, and the food is absolutely fantastic.

Stopped in here for eats after flying into Kalispell. I'm told the building used to be a Golden Corral or Sizzler, and they did a decent job of making it fit their cuisine. The service was GREAT. That Chicken Vindaloo at a medium level was really good. The amount was great, brought some home for leftovers. Prices were reasonable. Quite a jewel of a restaurant find.

Blown away with the taste of the tiki masala and coconut korma. Beats any Indian version of these I've ever tasted. Would highly recommend!

The buffet was well stocked, with a nice variety of chicken, shrimp, and vegetarian dishes, along with salad, naan, rice and desserts. Overall, the flavors were enjoyable and well-seasoned. The only downside was that the chicken was a bit dry, though still flavorful. One nice touch is that beverages are included with the buffet. We ordered a mango lassi and masala chai, and both were absolutely delicious --definitely highlights of the meal. The dessert selection included carrot pudding and ras gulla (pillowy, spongy balls soaked in syrup), fruit salad and 2 other unlabeled square bars. While they appeared authentic, they were a little too sweet for our taste or lack of flavor so we weren't as excited about that part of the buffet. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was comfortable. We also appreciated how the buffet was set up and maintained. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and we'd be interested in coming back to try some of their à la carte menu items next time.

When you walk in, fresh smells waft over you and it makes your tummy rumble (at least it did mine). All their baked goods are very fresh and look delicious! My only qualms are with the coffee and atmosphere. Either our coffees were burnt or we just don't like the roast (I got a caramel latte, she got a chai latte). We still drank them because they weren't absolutely disgusting, they just tasted off and not something you'd want to drink regularly. As for the atmosphere, the space was very cute and well laid out - there are plants and paintings throughout to bring color and joy. However, Carolers came in for about 15 minutes.. with brass instruments! I understand "tis the season" and I love the Christmas spirit, but I also don't want a trombone blasting music 10 feet from my table on a lazy Sunday morning... a little disappointed Ceres allowed them to do this, but I also don't want to be a Scrooge... If you want a good cinnamon roll or breakfast sandwich I think this is the spot! But maybe temper expectations for coffee? Might just be me, but also worth a visit if you want. Happy Holidays!
