Came here on a Friday afternoon for the first time and wow! The drinks are amazing, food was delicious, the servers are constantly checking in on you even though they were super busy, etc. the inside was super loud sound wise so just an fyi. They have so much outside seating and have amazing Mountain View's. I absolutely loved this place and will be back!

Not sure how you're not gonna give this one a 5/5. Probably best (local) place with an incredible view of the mountains & foothills. Beers are rotating and great! Food was super solid and staff was friendly. Worth the drive here!

Great locals hangout and great spot for families, out of town guests to get great pics of mountains.

Great views and yummy "better than bar" food! I love how they have the place set up... Great wrap around bar inside with tables and a cozy couple chairs next to the fireplace if you can get it when it's cold outside! Outdoor setting is amazing - sunny deck/beer garden with stunning views of the Flatirons! You can start by ordering food at the bar... Or they also have servers that walk around and will bring you your drinks & food. They often have food trucks pull up alongside the beer garden for another option too. There's a self service water station with extra cups and napkins and dinnerware. Very dog, friendly and such a great vibe! Did I mention the beer and cocktails were also amazing?

Hell yes, I'm already in love. You ever watch an old Western and they show a damn near abandoned saloon in the middle of nowhere? Flats Beer Garden is the closest thing to this phenomenon in the year 2026. I've driven by dozens of times. Always saying to myself, "I should check it out sometime." Perched proud and lonely on highway 93 with no other businesses in sight, Flats Beer Garden is the portal to a transcendiary experience. A home away from home if you will. Some will read my praise and not understand. They will see nothing more than a dive. To you I say, "more for me, thank you very much." Beer bar first and foremost. Tons of Colorado beers for your heart's delight. Sizeable food menu. Good wings at a good price. Full bar available. Mostly pub grub. Indoors is cozy with multiple rooms, a fireplace, bar seating, high tops, and tables. The selling point? The outdoor patio. No hesitation. One of the largest patios you'll find with seating for hundreds. The views of the mountains are simply wonderful. Nothing better than taking a beer outside and staring at our beautiful state. Staff was excellent. I must've interacted with five different bartenders and servers during my time here. All friendly, all helpful, and all too fun to talk with. Apres ski? Post hike? This is the place you want to mosey up to the bar. For those seeking out views after seeking out views, Flats Beer Garden is the quintessential Colorado watering hole. I'll be back time and time again.

From the outside, it's fairly unassuming--even as you pull up--but the moment you step inside, you're met with a warm, inviting atmosphere full of character. We grabbed a spot by the fireplace with two cozy chairs, which made the experience even better. The staff were fantastic across the board, and everything we ordered--the cheese curds, green chili soup, pretzel, and wings--was delicious. The ambiance is what really stood out to me, and it's easily worth the hour drive. I'd absolutely make the trip again.

We stopped in driving back from Boulder and had always been curious about the Flats. Tonight likely wasn't the best night to get the full experience and we'll def be back but won't likely order cocktails next time. The ingredients seemed to all be there, but the ratios / recipes were def off. We tried four cocktails and would only order one of the four again. Easy fix though. Tonight it was raining and dark. We rolled in about an hour before closing. Lots of wait staff, all very friendly and def hard working. Lots of smiles and checking in on us, despite it being late for them. We'd love to come back and sit outdoors to enjoy the amazing views and we did spy some pretty tasty food being served.

I would give this place 10 stars for the vibes if i could. The outdoor space is awesome and bonus points for being pup friendly. Great beer/alcohol selection and solid food that does the job.

After grabbing our drinks from the bar we sat outside & had several workers throughout the night asking to clear trash, grab our food orders for us, or get us another drink. For such a kickback spot the service was amazing. We sat under an umbrella for a bit & moved to the picnic tables to play a couple rounds of card under the string lights. The guy at the bar was so patient letting me try several beers on tap even though there was a rush! Would recommend the sweet potato fries, $2 pretzels, the old fashion + the s'mores drinks on the menu (forgot their names). Cool place to watch a game & also these views are insane.

Beer garden next to some cows and a mountain view! This is located next to the road between Golden and Boulder. It was bustling, and all the outdoor seating was full, so we had to watch the area like hawks to claim a spot when a family left. I'm glad we were on top of things because someone else was about to approach the seats we had been eyeing. The food was typical bar food, so we went for dinner elsewhere. My friend enjoyed her pretzel though. I'm not a beer person, so I chose a hard seltzer from the menu foolishly thinking it would come on tap. It was actually just a small can of seltzer for $7 that I probably could have bought from the grocery store for $2, and I poured it into a metal cup so it would look more aesthetic. I liked the taste, but not enough to get another one at that price. My friend is a beer person, so she got a few beers on tap and liked them. The service was alright. The first bartender took our orders, we paid, then they forgot about my friend's beer until she asked about it 10 minutes later. There was a friendly server who came to us when we were sitting outside to take our orders, although we had to venture back inside to grab menus. The ambience was lovely, and it was a great place to chill and chat.

We walked in and were greeted and given menus. We ordered at the bar and were given a locator to put on our table. We went out back to check it out and found a picnic table. There is a spot on the table for the locator so they can find you. My husband went for the crispy chicken sandwich with buffalo sauce. There were several sauces to choose from for that sandwich. My daughter and I both got their burger with cheese. She likes cheddar and I chose gouda. We both opted for onion rings as our side. My son chose the three sliders from the appetizer menu. That was just right for him. The back area has Adirondack chairs facing out toward the mountains. There would not be a bad seat out there for sunset. Their view is stunning. We were there mid-afternoon. Wear your sunscreen! Our food came shortly and we were checked on often. The sandwiches all had a brand seared into the top of the bun. Nice touch. My burger was delicious. The onion rings were fantastic. Crispy and grilled with perfectly done onion inside. We all enjoyed our experience and will most likely be back for a sunset or two.

Fun atmosphere with the outdoor seating and garden. You order inside at the bar and can sit outside where there's games like cornhole, dogs around, etc. A very fun place! Food wise, we got the wings which were really well done but the wings themselves were the smallest things I've seen, literal micro wings. They were well made though and tasty, just wish I had more for the price. Those around me said the burgers were quite charred and not super tasty. I'm sure people come here more for the beer though.

Loved our visit to Flats Beer Garden! The space has such a fun, relaxed vibe with great views and perfect for an afternoon with friends. The drinks were excellent and the staff couldn't have been friendlier. We ordered the chicken tenders and chicken sandwich. Heads up: the buffalo sauce comes on the side instead of tossed, but honestly, we didn't mind. It nice to be able to dip and control the spice level. One friend got a pizza, which wasn't the best, it tasted a bit like it had been frozen, but everything else made up for it. All in all, this is an awesome spot to kick back and enjoy some drinks with great company. We'll definitely be back!

Really great spot to grab a drink and enjoy it with an expansive Mountain View. FBG has plenty of outdoor seating with Adirondack chairs, umbrellas, & little tables scattered around along with picnic benches under shade. It has a local tavern feel with pretty reasonably priced drinks and food. I love their cheese curds and cheeseburger sliders. It's bar food, but it's actually pretty darn tasty. The cheeseburger sliders are a nice size and they taste like a backyard bbq burger which I love. The cheeseburger sliders curds are perfectly crispy and cheesy and the jalapeno aioli is really good. The bartenders are super friendly and welcoming and give attentive service. A solid spot to relax outside with some friends with a stunning view of the mountains.

This is maybe the most convoluted review I've ever written:…read moreWe were happy to get a spot here on OpenTable for Mother's Day. Fortunately, it is close to our home and the reviews looked great. When we arrived, we redirected from the main dining room to another space the restaurant owns 2 doors down. I wonder if we may have had a more attentive experience had we been in the original? The first disappointment was that our meal took 40 minutes to arrive from the time that we sat down. Our waiter consistently forgot that my husband had ordered a Diet Coke or to refill the drink when he had offered. The tables around us seemingly were served earlier, even though we all placed our orders around the same time. I ordered the Thai Pork Belly Benedict, which was absolutely delectable and definitely something write home about! And the country potatoes side was perfectly seasoned and crispy. I would absolutely go back for this, just maybe on a weekday brunch due to the wait. I thought it was extremely unique how the children's menu was plated in a muffin tin, with 6 different food choices for just $12. Great deal! My husband had a Belgian waffle topped with fruit, which was really unremarkable. Reminiscent of something that you might self-make at a hotel breakfast. Unfortunately, his waffle was cold, and he requested that they remake, which our server made sure was done in a timely manner. All in all, our meal was very reasonably priced at around $43. I just wish it hadn't been such a long wait, both to receive the initial order and for drink refills.
