#Flava is utterly delicious. I bit into the fish before I wrote this review :-)

I had the 2 piece catfish meal. Its delicious and seasoned to perfection. The employees are very polite. I'll be visiting again.

Ordered the $6 Philly which comes with grilled peppers and onions and cheese.

Well here's the honest truth. Philly sandwiches were ok. Not great, not bad. The sandwich itself was no bigger than a dollar bill. The lady who made the sandwich didn't add any salt or pepper to the meat. Cheese was hardly melted. After adding a generous amount of seasoning at home it turned out ok. The fries it came with were delicious though. So for $6 dollars i spent for a small sandwich and fries,i guess, it wasn't too bad. Gonna keep looking for a better place though.

My food was cold. Found hair in my fries. and the sides are small. The customer service wasn't great.

The Phillies at this establishment are decent . But they didn't have all the items listed on menu. Also took extremely long to obtain food

First time to try their cheesesteak on a Sunday afternoon. Ordered a poblano cheesesteak, onion…read morerings and a small side of cheese. Asked for water, as I don't drink soft drinks or tea and the young man told me "we don't give cups for water, what do you want to drink". I said nothing to drink then and got my bottled water from the car. People should be able to have water with their meal, even if you have to charge for the cup or sell bottled water. Just my opinion. Sandwich was tasty but I didn't taste/see much cheese, supposedly Swiss? O rings were good and crispy, fair portion. Side of cheese sauce was TINY, fyi. Service at the counter was friendly other than the refusing a cup for water. Manager/owner came thru dining room to check on customers, good move. I didn't like the credit card surcharge (without being told or signage advising) as I had cash. 15% tip for counter service with the CC surcharge made my sandwich and o rings $18 and I had to provide my own water. Pricey lunch. Dining room could use a good sweeping, washing and painting. Both restrooms had signs on the door that they were out of order, but employees used them? Food and service 4 stars, minus a star for unannounced surcharge and no water. I would go again but not dine in, so I can get water and use the restroom.

Fred, Fred, Fred…read more... I absolutely hate writing this review as we've been customers since you opened this Plano location. However our satisfaction has decreased with each visit. While I was pleased to see your lunch crowd had the place 90% full, the 22 minute wait for 2 lukewarm cheesesteak sandwiches (both mine amd my spouse's), having to ask for ketchup and being told "they are on the tables". Well, there are 9 tables and only 2 bottles of ketchup amongst them. Only after 2 other diners asked for ketchup was another (ONE) bottle given to the 3rd person to ask for ketchup. On a positive note... the fries were hot. perhaps you leave the cheesesteaks on the grill until the fries are done? Now the travesty of all.... the last 3 visits no Hank's sodas have been stocked. We are not Pepsi product fans. so we ended up with the 6 Oz water cup but it's free so won't complain about that. The cool temperature cheesesteaks were not finished by either myself or DH. Please get back to your standards that got us to be regulars, we definitely will be going to the Allen location before coming back unless we see positive reviews.

The first time I went to Fred's, the owner was at the register greeting everyone who came in with an enthusiastic smile. I had a feeling the food was great because every seat in the restaurant was filled. I ordered the #4 - double meat and cheese Cheesesteak with mayo and fries. Luckily, I found a table as my food arrived and quickly found myself in Cheesesteak heaven! For the price, it was an incredible portion of steak and cheese, and every bite seemed better than the last until the end. I came back with my partner, this time adding their delicious Cheesesteak egg rolls to my order. She chose the pepper Cheesesteak and thought everything was delightful. Everything was so good that it was hard to resist the urge to order more food for later! You can tell that Fred genuinely enjoys his work, and his energy is infectious. His staff and customers all appear very happy to be there, creating a sense of a close-knit community.

    - "Fine, but only because I was hungry, emotionally vulnerable, and too lazy to cancel Grubhub."…read more Charley's Cheesesteaks in Rowlett is... well, it's there. Like a Tinder date who shows up on time, pays the bill, but talks exclusively about Funko Pop collections. It checks the boxes. Just don't expect fireworks. The sandwich? Adequate. The steak exists, the cheese melts (mostly), and the bread holds it together like it signed a lease but already regrets the neighborhood. It's not offensive, it's just unmemorable -- like a generic motivational poster in a dentist's office. Now the Cajun fries well they had less spice than a Bible study potluck and tasted like someone waved a paprika jar near them, then called it a day. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Charley's is trying to be Philly, but if we're drawing lines: Pat's and Geno's wouldn't even acknowledge this place unless it asked to park their car. If there was a Rowlett cheesesteak rivalry (there isn't), Cheesesteak House would mop the griddle with Charley's and still have time to mock their cheese-to-meat ratio. And if Texadelphia opened within driving distance? Sorry, Charley -- I'm dumping you faster than a Cowboys fan after a wildcard loss. Bottom line: If you're at the mall, craving a cheesesteak, and have already made peace with life's compromises, this'll do. Just don't expect Philly. You'll get Plano at best.
