If I could give zero stars I would…read more I was talking with this photographer for a month, trying to find a date to do Mother's Day photos. We finally confirmed a date for May 2nd, and she emailed saying that "in order to secure the date, I need to send a deposit of $500.00." I asked to have a phone call before I just Zelle money to a random person, but she said she doesn't take phone calls from clients because she's too busy. She then said there is someone else wanting May 2nd and for me to hurry with the deposit. So I went ahead with good faith and Zelle'd her $500.00 on Friday. She sent me her contract Friday night, which was Passover, so we were busy with the family holiday and didn't get a chance to fully review the contract until Sunday morning. Which at that point, she emailed me saying that May 2nd is no longer available, and the contract had been canceled. I sent the deposit with the confirmation that it was to secure the May 2nd date. There's no other date that works for my family, so I asked for a refund since she can no longer honor the agreed date. At first, she said no, her policy is no refunds on deposits. She then said, okay, she will refund me but it will take 3 business days. And now she is completely refusing to refund us, and stopped all communication, and said she's reporting us to her bank as fraud! Like, are you kidding me! She blatantly stole money from us! It's clear this lady is a professional scam artist and does this shady stuff often. I should have known when she refused to speak with me on the phone. Red flag! We honestly don't know what to do, or how to get our money back. As a client I would beware of this lady! It's so sad how dishonest some people are. I believe in Karma and I know karma will do its job with this lady!

I purchased a Living Social deal and got portraits taken with my family. It was pretty cool! We had…read morethe choice of in studio, at Seal Beach pier or by the SB peninsula. Melody, the office manager was super nice and helpful, answered all my questions and was great about follow up. Knowing I had a 2yr old, they demonstrated their knowledge and experience with this age group because they were able to provide the pros/cons of each setting and the best time to get the most cooperation. On the day, we got a call that morning from Melody to remind us and let us know where to meet exactly. Thank god...cuz my phone crashed, with all my notes! Although the promo was for 1-hour photog session, we were done before then but still got a ton of pictures to choose from. Kristi was sweet and professional. I liked her instantly. We went and saw our proofs just the other day. The studio was small but yet the way they had it set up, it was roomy and comfy. We went through each of our pics on a huge screen and gave them thumbs up or down on them. I felt like i was sitting at home going through our own albums. It was that comfy! From the proofs, some the images were pretty pose-y, while others were so natural that Kristi was able to catch. I just wish my little guy was smiling in more of the pictures. Too bad with the retouching they'll be doing, they couldn't retouch them to add smiles to my little grouch! I've never done professional photos before, so I can't give you a good comparison to cost. But it seemed pricey, based on my limited knowledge of what Asian shops do for much less cost. But KSE has beautiful photo boxes that you can load with 23 or so photos, and the photos will then go into a book. But to get the book, you have to buy the photo boxes. Since we already had thousands of photos, we just chose a few family shots and pair shots. I wanted more but aside from our own database, our wallets just didn't permit me spending needlessly! =( But I think I'll be happy with what we chose. Can't wait to pick them up! Note to anyone going to the studio with child in stroller....the studio is on the 2nd floor , so you have to go up 2 flights of stairs. There's no elevator. Thank god my stroller was light and didn't add to the weight of a sleeping 2yr. old. Bring quarters for street parking or go down towards the residential area and try your luck parking there.

I got my hair and makeup done (by Annie Vandyke) at the studio before my session which added to my confidence (along with a glass a champagne :) The photo session was fun! Kristi demonstrated how to pose, so all I had to do was copy her. The images turned out fantastic! I took my fiancé to the ordering session and he loved the photos, it was difficult to narrow down our favorites. The photos were truly pieces of art.
