I called Pierce County Handyman for reinstalling 4 outside corner sections of baseboard and adjusting 2 transition pieces that had been installed improperly previously. They scheduled me for a visit about a week later so an estimate could be provided. Then a day before the scheduled visit, they asked to reschedule it due to a personal reason. I agreed to reschedule. They showed up on the second appointment and provided me with a service quote and a proposed service date. I got back to them 2 days later confirming the service and was informed the previously proposed date was no longer available. They then proposed a new date in the morning which I agreed to it. 1 day before their schedule service date, they call asking to reschedule from morning to afternoon, which I also agreed to. Then on the date of service, they texted me 2 hours before their scheduled start time to attempt to reschedule for a different date. I let them know that I had made plans for the work to be done that day and that if not possible, then to cancel the whole thing. They weren't able to come out and the service was canceled at my request. A total of 3 weeks and a half went by with multiple service days agreed to and subsequently rescheduled on Pierce County Handyman's request. In the end, no work was done...

Wow! I'm amazed that Cedar River construction doesn't have more reviews on Yelp. We contacted eight…read moredifferent contractors to just get a fence quote and only a handful of them actually got back to us. One even gave us a quote and when I called to book the job, they never called back. We found Steve's website online and he called us back within a day, was out to do the quote with in a few days after that and started the job within about a week! He was prompt, professional and not afraid of technology (I.e he knew how to respond via email--which was great because then we didn't play phone tag.) He used quality lumber from a local company, got the job done on time and delivered high quality work. His quote was just a bit less than other quotes (yea!), but generally all the quotes we got were in the same ballpark. So it was really his promptness, communication and professionalism that sold us. The site was clean and orderly after they left and we came home to a beautiful cedar fence. I especially like the gate design. If we ever re-do our deck or extend the fence line, Cedar River will be our first call. I'd recommend Steve's work to anyone!

He was able to come out quickly for a quote and listened for what I wanted, asked questions if anything was unclear, and provided suggestions I didn't even think of. Nothing for a week so I reached out and said they'll schedule the following week and they'll get back to me with a firm date. The week they were supposed to arrive, got nothing so I reached back out. Got another response saying she would get back to me first thing the following morning to confirm the date. Crickets... Wasted over 2 weeks waiting but, in the end, I guess they didn't want the work. I gave up and moved onto a more competent and professional company to do the work. Very frustrating.
