I like the variety of routes they offer and that afterwards there is some food & mingling and sometimes discounts! The first time I went, I asked a salesperson about a specific pain in my foot and she was so so helpful, gave me some tips, and didn't try to push any purchases on me. I very much appreciated her expertise! I joined their rewards program and have already benefited from it. Definitely recommend. I appreciate that others are being helped but there's literally no hello, no nod, backs of 3+ employees completely turned away from walk ins. The best customer service experience of my life! I drove for 40 minutes to visit this location based on the excellent online reviews. I walked right in, no wait, and was assisted immediately by Daniel. I've never had a shoe fitting before and I can't believe I waited this long because what a personalized and helpful experience. Daniel asked me so many great questions to really understand my needs in a shoe and even made sure I liked them aesthetically. I was so happy to have him explain the details of my foot scan and send it to me so I have access to it next time I buy shoes, whether it's at Fleet Feet or somewhere else. I loved that he was so knowledgeable about the products in store that would help me be more efficient and avoid injury, but never once was pushy to try to get me to make a purchase. He took time to let me test different combinations and heard when I said I didn't like something. Ultimately, I bought insoles and a new pair of shoes that cost me less than they would've to order online, plus no shipping and I didn't have to wait for delivery. The entire appointment with Daniel, the measurements, the fitting and advice--all free. I feel I walked away with a bargain getting discounted shoes and all that knowledge about my own feet for what I paid. This is a place, and a person, who really wants to just help people buy shoes they will love. My wife was kind of having a crafting crisis and needed a fresh pair of long shoelaces to get her project done. After she hit multiple Target stores, she came up flat and highly irritable. So at 6:50 PM on a Thursday evening, I hit the road for her to Red Wing Shoes by my house who is supposed to close at 7:00 PM. At 6:52, Red Wing was already closed. So next I was going to hit up another big box store to then remember Fleet Feet being nearby, on my way down Magnolia. I'm not a runner nor to I care too deeply about my shoes, so they didn't pop immediately into my head at first. Basically, I've never once shopped there. However, they were also open until 7:00 PM according to Yelp. So I decided to be "that customer" who storms the front door minutes before they lock it up for the night. Honestly, with today's social climate, I almost expected to be immediately dismissed or treated rudely. But no. This was not the case at all. Far from it. This was classic, welcoming, and very friendly service. I walked in a 6:58 PM, and was given white glove treatment straight through to the end ...for me to buy a pair of shoelaces, nonetheless. This is my third time at Fleet Feet, repeat shopper. Today I went to pick up some trail shoes for an intense 70 mile portion of a trail that I plan to do in a few months. The thing about this place is that it's not just another shoe store. Their employees are AMAZING. Super welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. Daniel helped me out today and he went above and beyond for my sister and I. The thing is though, each time I've gone here, the service has been the same. Their customer service has been impeccable any time I've gone. Daniel greeted us with a smile. He asked us what we were looking for and had us step on these two machines to measure and check and give a very detailed report of your feet, arch, foot height, where you put most pressure on your feet, etc. After showing us our report and asking some questions, he got us a few options and sizes. He was super patient and had all the answers when asked. He even gave us some tips on different ways to lace up and also had some sock suggestions for the long trail ahead. Two things I really like, as mentioned before, the customer service is amazing. It reminds me of the old school service you used to get when I was little, maybe I'm aging myself here, hehe. But they literally help you put your shoe on and lace you up when trying your shoes on. They check where your big toe is in my shoe, just like my Mom did when I was little, hehe. Really loved the customer interaction. If you plan to get tested to see which shoes are your best fit be ready to wait a bit if there are quite a few people in store. Love the variety in shoes and styles that fit my walking stance best although select styles and sizes are limited there is still available for them to order. They also have a store membership that gives good discounts and benefits on exchanges for shoes if you decide that you didn't like it. I came in here to buy a pair of walking shoes. They've got a good system to get your name on a list so you can wait for a sales associate and get personal service. The woman that assisted me was very helpful, ran me through their measurement system and had a few pairs of shoes for me to try from Hoka, New Balance and a third which I can't remember. I went with the Hokas and have been very pleased with the comfort and support. The woman assisting me suggested that I might benefit from inserts but when I told her I wanted to try them first without to see how they feel, I didn't get any pressure or upsell, which was appreciated. I know a lot of more serious runners and athletes probably shop here but I didn't feel sidelined or talked down to. read more

I absolutely did not want to go to Fleet Feet... but now I forever will! I have worn the same running shoe/insole combo for 13 years, so when I wore my current pair out while training for a 13.1, my plan was to just re-order the same pair I have always worn. That is when I found out that shoe had been permanently discontinued. The idea of having to switch shoes after 13 years of wearing the same kind was extremely overwhelming. I was nervous to go to Fleet Feet because I was afraid they would not understand what I was looking for, or would try to sell me the most expensive shoes for no reason. A part of me wanted to just keep training in my worn down shoes, but my mom told me if I sucked it up and went, the new shoes could be her treat to me. So I begrudgingly went. Within 10 minutes of walking in, my apprehensions were immediately alleviated. After signing in on their whiteboard to work with one of their reps, I was browsing the store waiting for my name to be called, when suddenly Dan, one of the reps, commented on my shoes- "Hey, I used to wear those! Bummer they were discontinued." Immediate green flag. 3 minutes later, I was conveniently paired with Dan himself. He understood exactly what I wanted, but we did an updated foot scan anyway, just in case. He pulled three shoes for me and let me run around the block in each pair to really see how they felt. I did not love the first pair, but Dan listened intently to what I didn't like about them and changed his approach with the next two accordingly. The second pair felt nearly exactly the same as my old pair, so I almost bought them on the spot. But Dan wanted me to try one more pair- the On Cloudrunner 2s. He said while they wouldn't feel 100% like my old pair, they would feel pretty close and he was curious what I would think because I had made a quick comment in passing about how the first pair he pulled for me was hard on my knees. And wow- I am glad I gave them a chance because he was right- they were pretty close to my old pair but so much easier on my joints. I was surprised he picked that up from such a quick comment in passing. And even after that, I wanted to try a size down before committing, so he went back and grabbed a pair so I could compare. He was super patient throughout the whole process, listening to everything I said and not rushing me. I ended up going with the Cloudrunners- they were $150, which is exactly what they're listed for online, so my fears of Fleet Feet upselling were alleviated. Dan also fitted me for some new insoles which were $60, the same price as my old ones. The whole process took about 20 minutes, and I left feeling super excited to hit the road in my new shoes. Next time I need new running shoes, I will definitely be back! read more

I had a prescription from my podiatrist for plantar fasciitis and they said this store would take care of me, and they 100% did. It's a brutal 12 week conditioning course to not pass-out after 26.2 miles. In addition to the valuable information provided for pre and post run, they offer discounts on gear and most importantly they provide a supportive environment for beginner to elite runners. They also measure all demensions of your feet in order to fit you with the proper shoes for your runs. I was able to find the perfect pair of running shoes that I LOVE LOVE LOVE. I've gotten two of my work shoes here and I am definitely satisfied (Altra & Hoka). I work long hours that demand walking and moving 90% of the time. I have tried multiple shoes including clogs. Fleet Feet saved my feet!! I was never a runner and had always gotten shoes that just *looked cool* in the past, but recently took up running with the goal of running a marathon. The service at Fleet Feet is absolutely phenomenal. They have a machine that scans your feet, and I don't just mean it measures like the length and width of your feet- It measures things that I hadn't even thought about like ball width, arche height, instep height, etc for both of your feet. It's nuts. And then you've got the experienced staff who also can watch how you walk, etc to help you find that perfect shoe. ((Also, if you didn't want all of this, you could definitely just ask for recommendations, seriously they're awesome). Anyways, I found the shoe love of my life- Hoka Arahis and man are they life changing. Looove them and love fleet feet for recommending them!! My feet have just not been feeling good in my old running shoes, so I thought I'd check out Fleet Feet today. I am so glad I did! With their high tech scan of your feet and stride, I learned my feet have changed a LOT since the last time I was in an athletic shoe store. After seeing my results, and asking about any pain I've been having, Daniel pulled nearly every shoe in my size for me to try on, listened to all of my feedback, and pulled more. In the end I went with the first shoe he had me try on, but I knew it was the absolute best fit because of all of his hard work to find me the perfect shoe. Also, on a Covid note, obviously no one is required to wear a mask anymore. I'm pretty wary of getting it, though, as I have young children who aren't yet fully vaccinated, and we have comorbidities in our family. With transmission being low, I felt ok about shopping anyway, and I came in wearing a KN95. Upon seeing that, without asking or making a big deal about it, Daniel put on a mask.
