So I can't give this place anything lower than a 5 star. I bought some shoes just ever 3 months ago and even though they have a 2 month return policy they took my shoes and replaced them. The toe of the shoe was coming apart and they replaced them without asking a single question. They just swapped them out. I wasn't even In The store for 10 minutes. This isn't the first time here and definitely won't be the last. They never have a problem taking care of customers, they seem to know what I want/need even before I walk in the door. I highly recommend paying this place a visit if you need new shoes. They won't jerk you around and they will always take care of you. They also work very close with high school kids on the track teams, so keep that in mind when your kids need shoes for running. read more

I've been a customer for years and they are awesome! Kirt, the manager is exceptional and his staff are stellar too! They take their time and make sure they understand what kind of runner you are. They also show interest in what your upcoming races are and actually seem interested! I've been having some toe issues and having difficulties finding the right shoe. What I ended up buying a few months back still wasn't the answer; however, Kirt hung in there with me and credited me back my $ and helped find another solution.... trying finding that kind of service at a big box store or Amazon. This is my second experience purchasing running shoes at a Fleet Feet location and they still continue to provide some of the best customer service I have received ANYWHERE. I was in El Dorado Hills and almost drove to the downtown location because of the outstanding service I received there, but I was so happy to see that this location was only about 20 minutes away. I walked in a was greeted warmly by Morgan who asked what I was looking for. I'm preparing for my first full marathon and was in need of new shoes that I would be running it in. She took her time with me measuring each foot and watched how my feet plant on the ground. She brought out around 5 or 6 different pairs of shoes to ensure I got the right fit explaining the differences between them and even offered some tips about training. So pleased to have a Fleet Feet in Folsom and conveniently located just past the old downtown area. I absolutely love the service at every one of their locations. These guys and gals know their shoes, the history of the model, the tends in the company. They let you run in the shoes. It's a boutique so the clothes and accessories are pricey, but they're special materials and a quality that a dedicated runner needs to pay for. Plus, it has those hard to find items like lights and gloves and weird yogurt baby food stuff for marathoners. I don't like that this location doesn't offer certain discounts like student or military that the downtown one has for years. But there is a point redemption system, so that's nice. read more

I've been going to the downtown location for years, and assumed that going to this location would be just as nice. It's only okay for me. The one downtown just seemed to have more helpful and enthusiastic sales staff, and this location seemed to fall just a little short of that. Instead of the many pairs of running shoes downtown has you try on, this gave only two. I felt a bit rushed by my sales person. Also, your membership at downtown has no bearing on this franchise location. Good enough, but disappointing service as compared to downtown. I'll stick with what I know next time. read more

Went into fleet feet for the third time. We dropped a a lot of money our first visit (late November 2019 - Black Friday) and had a great fitting and experience. On our second visit (early December 2019) I brought my parents, who also spent a good amount of money. Two visits were probably around a total of $1200 or so. You could definitely say we enjoyed ourselves the first two times. When being fitted, they really took good care to educate and insure our comfort. Which was very impressive... But this last time the staff was oblivious (late February 2020) First, I knew I wanted more Balega socks - because they're amazing. I walked in and was greeted as I had been both times before and could feel it was more chaotic than the times before but made my way to the sock wall. I kept having to move every time I got to the sock wall to let an employee get past me, annoying. This made me rush my shopping, because I just wanted some dang socks off this wall that I couldn't get to. I still got 5 pairs of Balega socks but forgot to get a new pair of inserts. I don't live nearby and made a special trip to get everything I needed all at once. That's on me, I'm aware, but I didn't enjoy myself and had I felt more comfortable then maybe I wouldn't have rushed and forgotten them. And I get trying to be helpful by asking if I was finding everything okay even if it was on repeat back to back moments but if someone is shopping and your forcing them to move from the area their shopping just so you can go stand at the desk then it's not being helpful it's being distracting and inhibiting. We definitely felt rushed. Please just slow down and respect the space of your patrons, ask if they're finding everything but don't make them move. It may be a running equipment store but as shoppers we were not in a sprint to get in and out. Overall, I'm sure we will be back because they have quality everything that we need and the first two visits were so good which is the only reason I'm rating this so high. But maybe move the socks or advise staff to take the path of least resistance, don't make a costumer move or make them feel like they need to move and stop shopping that area just to let them go stand at a desk... not a good vibe and not a good shopping experience. Hope next time is more like it was and less hectic feeling. Moral of the story - don't get between a runner and her socks! read more

Stopped in yesterday as I've been having increased problems with plantar fasciitis and about a month ago joined Orangetheory Fitness. My feet weren't recovering. The associate had me step on a device to measure my feet/ arches and brought me 3 pairs of shoes to try in, then two more upon request. I tried on two insoles as well. Ended up buying a pair of new balance 860 and blue insoles with arch support. Used the insoles immediately in a regular pair of shoes and saw relief instantly. Used the New Baanc shoes and insoles today at Orangetheory for my workout and they were perfect. My feet didn't hurt at all and seem to be recovering better post workout. The associate was kind and vey helpful. Shoes cost $125, insoles $50 and We bought a roll ball with spikes for $10. $200 well spent. read more

I first tried to order my shoes from the manufacturer's website, but they don't sell them directly and you have to go to a retail store to purchase. This shoe company is part of a program called "Locally" that finds the stores nearby. I was connected to fleet feet Folsom. I was able to quickly reserve the shoes online (around 8pm when the store was closed). Fleet feet sent me a text first thing in the morning that my shoes were waiting for me at the front. I walked in 2 hours later and had my shoes! Fleet Feet was professional, quick and definitely cares about what they are doing! read more

Ordered by my podiatrist to buy shoes at Fleet Feet I sent out on my mission to spend "one million dollars." No more outlets or off price show shopping for yours truly. I just hoped I wouldn't end up with the large velcro new balance shoes you see people walking around with. Joking aside after playing sports for so many years and not worrying about why my feet always ached afterwards it was sad to find out I indeed have flat feet. In order to support my flat size 13 feet I needed shoes that supported my tendon and arch areas. I had no idea this is what Fleet Feet specialized in. The shoes were not what I imagined and in fact all 3 pairs I tried on were super comfortable even without my orthotic inserts. The one on one service was outstanding and I ended up going with the best pair of stability Nikes they offered. I even found a pair of work/dress shoes called Super Feet shoes that I special ordered. All told I didn't spend one million dollars but do be prepared to spend at anywhere from $120-200 depending on what you are looking for. It's well worth it in the end, your feet will be happy!! read more

I am sorry I waited so long for this review. I called back in early April at the height of the lockdown. I started walking as a deterrent to all the negativity but was getting a lot of pain in my feet as well as my back and groin areas. A good friend recommended I call and see if I could get some recommendations for a proper shoe and maybe it would help. Boy, was she ever right! I was a bit reluctant to do a video fitting but Jocelyn was able to see how I walked and recommended a proper fit and shoe style based on my needs. I went and picked up my shoes and tried them the next day. What a difference I felt the first day! The pains all subsided immensely and now I am up to 9 miles! My first time getting fitted for shoes, since I'm practicing for a 5k and my current shoes we're giving me shin splints. Lacey greeted us promptly and was SO helpful. She explained the fitting process and answered any questions I had, fitted me with quite a few pairs. Offered to see if we could special order different color of shoes if I didn't like the ones they had in stock, but I ended up getting the ones in stock. I love how you can have someone to help you with your shoe needs here. They ask lots of questions and measure your foot so they can get an idea of what you need. When I got in I had to sign in on a sheet to get help because all the employees were occupied with other customers, no biggie because I got help within 5-7 minutes of waitiing. They didn't have my size because I have freakishly small feet so they ordered them for me! Super easy, love this place! read more

Bought a pair of shoes here and would highly recommend. Most of the shoes I had bought prior either hurt my ankles or my arches. They measured me and used a machine you stand on to figure out needs for arches, width etc. Picked out a pair based on that and it's a world of difference. Best shoes I've ever owned. Right when I walked in the door I was greeted by Alisha (sorry if spelled wrong) and she was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and effective in figuring out what shoes would be best for me. She asked me to walk normal so she could evaluate what my feet do when I walk, and she determined that I have some elongation in my feet and a shoe that is neutral or stability to aid my feet in that. Alisha brought out 4 pairs of shoes to try on that ranged from light and soft to more aggressive, all of which fit quite well! She allowed me to take them outside to jog on the sidewalk briefly so I could get a real feel for how suitable they would be for endurance running. After trying them all on and narrowing it down (all the while she was kind enough to take the shoes on and off and lace them up for me) I decided to purchase a pair of Brooks. Alisha was very knowledgeable and informative about each brand I tried on and noted the different qualities each shoe had and their purposes. She did a wonderful job educating me and I feel very comfortable with the choice I made. Her customer service was very good and she clearly knows how to create a good experience that invites customers to continue to come back for any and all additional needs. My wife needed shoes for walking. She has had trouble with her feet and this has become a real issue in recent years. The lady who helped us was very knowledgeable and courteous. I was very impressed with the way she went out of her way to find just exactly what we needed. Running (and walking shoes) are expensive but the prices were really not much higher than when I used to run (i.e. $100 to $120 for top end shoes versus $120 to $150). I think this is the store to go to for quality running or walking shoes. We were recommended to this place by a nurse. read more

Amanda, Kirk and the staff at Fleet Feet, Folsom are top notch! I've been a Fleet Feet'r since the early 80's and they remain the local go-to running resource for me. Websites to save a few bucks... No thanks! Running is about community and culture and a local shop cannot be replaced in this regard. Last week I took my daughter in to get her set for the coming track season and Kirk gave her beyond ample attention and used his product knowledge expertise to dial her in with trainers that she is extremely pleased with. Also, I've been dealing with the "dreaded" plantar fasciitis for some time and Amanda, the resident PF expert, spent time with me during several store visits and connected me with some resources that have my case of pf on a significant trend towards resolution. I cannot recommend this shop more highly and their new location in Folsom allows for their inventory and expert staff to further encourage and resource the local running community. read more
