I had brought my mom earlier this year to get Shoes in elk Grove, California out of Fleet feet. My mom is a fragile, diabetic and geriatric, and I noticed that she had really worn through the shoes so while shopping in Folsom, I spotted a fleet feet on my map And told her I was buying her a new pair of the shoes they fit her for earlier this year, the neuropathy and her feet is pretty bad. I told my mom I'd have them look up her measurements and we would get the same shoes we got before. This was the first fleet feet. I've been in that had more employees than customers, but after my experience, I completely understand. I went in and I ask a gentleman in a navy sweatshirt. I believe his name was Justin, but I was so upset when I left. I'm not quite sure if his name was Justin. He was a young kid under 25 with a navy shirt on. I ask him if he would look up my mother's account by her phone number. He said they only do email but he would try the name we went back-and-forth a lot. We tried my name, etc. I finally said let me go out to the car and get my mom's email address as she was waiting in the car for the shoes before I could do so the gentleman says to me that the computers between the fleet fees are not linked so it wouldn't matter unless I bought the shoes there which I found odd because I've gone to other fleet feet and they've been able to find my account so I could get the exact model of shoe that I had purchased before At this point, Mr. Navy man was finding this pretty freaking amusing and I was not. I said look I just like to buy my mother a pair of shoes and I'm sure there's something that can be done to figure out which shoes she had before they were either unwilling or unprepared to help with this situation which could've been as simple as calling up the elk Grove fleet fee to find this information so that the owner of this fleet feet could make a sale because I was ready to purchase a pair of shoes. Not only was the boy and his friends also working in the store finding this incredibly amusing I am not. I am sorry for the owner of the store because not only will I tell others about the store. I will never go into the store again and I have already contacted fleet feed corporate to let them know about my experience This store seem to be stocked with a lot of young people with no oversight and again I found it very odd that there were so many readily available employees as usually a fleet fee on the weekend is not for the faint of heart. There are usually so many customers in there, but I get why they were not in the store given my experience I was given the card for a manager named Rachel, but at this point, it doesn't matter because I would never step foot in the store again read more

This was my first time visiting Fleet Feet per my physical therapist's recommendation. I have been dealing with flat feet and, the navicular, heal and back pain that comes along with it. My only regret is that I did not visit sooner. The store is impeccable in terms of cleanliness. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. Justin was amazing, he gave me his full attention and listened intently to all the details of my issues. He chose a few brands and styles of shoes that he felt would help me. At the end of the day I settled on a pair of Brooks Glycerin GTS22s. Wearing these shoes around the store was a huge difference in comfort and support. My teenage daughter has over pronation of her ankles (they roll inward) and Justin helped us choose a pair of Super Feet inserts that will help provide support in her other non supportive shoes. I've bought three pairs of Brooks here, and every time the staff has been incredibly helpful. What's really cool is that they hire runners--not just customer service people--so you get real experts with every visit. The prices match what you'd pay buying directly from Brooks, New Balance, or even Amazon (though I'm trying to move away from Amazon), but you also get that expert advice in person. I also picked up a couple pairs of OOFOS recovery sandals here, and honestly, they've changed my life. If you have foot pain, definitely check out the OOFOS sandals at Fleet Feet. He collected a foot scan for exact sizing needs, watched our ankles while we walked to determine if we needed structural support, and he brought out several options and brands for us to chose from for our needs. He even assisted us in trying on all pairs and we left very happy with some hands down winning shoes. Came in here yesterday looking for a good running shoe. I had been using some pretty standard things that I'd find at larger sports warehouse type stores and have always had knee problems, Achilles pain, shin pain, etc. every time I ran it was miserable. So much so that I stopped for quite some time. After looking at shoes at a bigger sportsman store yesterday, my wife suggested Fleet Feet, as these bigger stores "wouldn't know what's best for me." I kind of scoffed at her, thinking, "they're just shoes. What is there to know?" We walked in and worked with Matt, and he took a 3D scan of my feet and an assessment of how I walk. I learned a TON about the science behind running and the shoes, and all of that. Figured out what parts of my feet I put most of my weight on, where my feet were wide, what my arches were like, etc. He then brought out about 6 different shoes for me to try on, he told me about all the details and differences behind them and after about 45 minutes or so, I ended up with a new pair of Brooks Glycerin shoes. I'm excited to use them, and I've been wearing them around to break them in and am not feeling ANY of the issues I've felt with other shoes. It feels like a miracle. Matt also had my wife try on a variety of different shoes, as she's training for a half marathon and her current Saucony shoes are BEAT. The customer service was out of this world. You could tell it was a passion for the employees and I didn't feel any judgment based on my complete and total lack of knowledge. If I could give this place 6 stars out of 5, I would! Thank you, Kirk, for a superior customer service experience. When I arrived, the store had just opened and it was already hopping with customers. Every staff member was busy and it took about 20 minutes or more for my turn. Staff periodically apologized for the wait. I didn't mind waiting as I could tell immediately that staff took their time with customers and cared about meeting their needs, which is exactly the type of experience I look for and appreciate. I had been shopping for my shoes elsewhere and left that business due to poor customer service. Kirk asked me what had happened and I admired that he asked; good managers want to know what kinds of things send customers away for good in order to help ensure that their staff members aren't doing the same kinds of things. I have a hard time finding good stability shoes that fit my very wide feet and have worn a few different styles of Hokas. However, Hoka discontinues styles that fit me well and I have to start all over trying to find a good fit. Kirk got me into a great pair of Hokas, but he also suggested a few other brands that might be good fits down the road if this particular Hoka style is discontinued. I was also overdue to be measured for a new pair of Superfeet inserts and took care of that while I was there. From start to finish, my customer service experience was fantastic. Fleet Feet Folsom is an awesome store to shop at! If you are a runner, this is your toy store. This location offers everything a runner could want. For instance, they have an excellent selection of running shoes. In fact, they have the most specialized running shoes in our area. I would recommend to have a shoe fitting. That way you can learn your exact size, gait, and the employees can get you into the best fit shoe possible. In addition to all of the shoes, one of my favorites about this store is their selection of nutrition. They have an entire wall full of goodies that will fuel your body on your longest runs. They have all the essentials, such as, GU, Honey Stingers, Chomps, Nuun, among other little treats. If you are unsure of what to get, simply ask. The employees are super friendly and most likely have tried out the product themselves. Besides all of the shoes and nutrition, the store has plenty of apparel to offer and also has a nice selection of hydration packs. If you have any questions, I would look for Jocelyn or Kirk. Rather than wear them we brought them back and SURPRISE they can't do anything about that they were over 60 days. !!! Nothing all they could do is say what they could not do. BAD CUSTOMER RELATIONS. I was introduced to this shoe store in the Bay Area, and I liked it so much that I came here again to get my next pair of shoes. Although this store is small, it's bright and nicely organized. It's also not overly crowded. There's plenty of employees available to assist you with picking the right now. You can also tell they all the employees are either avid runners themselves or just good shoe loving people. If you've never been here, they will watch you walk barefooted to see what you need. Whatever your style or walking type, they have the quality shoe for you. After you get sized they will bring out several styles for you to try. They don't mind putting shoes on you several times til you figure out the one you like. You're even welcome to go outside and run a bit in them. I'm always impressed with the shoes I've recommended here. I got a pair to run a half marathon and it was great. With my old shoes my feet were always sore by the end of the day. This Fleet Feet location and staff are outstandingly amazing. I was in a serious car accident and had developed a limp afterwards. I came into Fleet Feet, was taken care of, and left with a pair of Pegasus based on their recommendation. Fast forward a year and my limp is gone and I loved those shoes. Another year later I needed to get a new pair of shoes so I returned to this location and was helped out by Jared. Jared took great care with me and sold me a pair of Nike brand sneakers, that were custom ordered in black so they came straight from the manufacturer. After I month I developed blisters on the edge of all my toes, possibly rubbing with the inside of the front. I returned to the store to see what we could do, I was promptly greeted and taken care of by Cheryl. She was polite and understanding towards my complaints, she looked me up because I didn't have my receipt and swapped out my shoes for another version of the Pegasus shoes. The shoes are amazing quality, but the great experience was provided by the staff. I have recommended my coworkers and classmates to them because they take really great care of you. And I feel like as a customer there is nothing better than feeling like your complaints/concerns are addressed professionally and to your benefit. So I can't give this place anything lower than a 5 star. I bought some shoes just ever 3 months ago and even though they have a 2 month return policy they took my shoes and replaced them. The toe of the shoe was coming apart and they replaced them without asking a single question. They just swapped them out. I wasn't even In The store for 10 minutes. This isn't the first time here and definitely won't be the last. They never have a problem taking care of customers, they seem to know what I want/need even before I walk in the door. I highly recommend paying this place a visit if you need new shoes. They won't jerk you around and they will always take care of you. They also work very close with high school kids on the track teams, so keep that in mind when your kids need shoes for running. read more
