Slowest service i have ever received at a bar. Waited 25 mins for a drink over 40 mins for a pizza.

We've been to this place quite a few times. It's a good pop in bar for a drink while you catch the game. It's place right outside the mud hens stadium so it's a great bar for before and after the game. They have a rooftop, but I've never been up there. Cool bar. read more

Oh my. I will start off simple. Dont waste your time. Everything you can get here, you can find somewhere else in town and alot cheaper. Came here the first time to check out the beer selection. About $2-4 more expensive than anywhere else in town. Now before you say this is downtown n blah blah, go on down to get ye ole cock n bull where my car was parked in compare. So second time, hop slam release. Bells rep supposed to be in house, live band. Almost fell asleep on the band and I didn't see a rep there from 5 to 7:30 when I was there. I was one of the few that purchased the Hopslam in the glass for $15. Again overpriced. Got some $9 pretzel bites which if you look at the Heights spot about half a mile from there are $4.50 n look exactly the same. Check the pics Staff was marginally friendly both visits. No happy hour on anything and I asked for specials. I took myself on over to the Distillery. Same specialty beer (hop slam) in a 16 oz glass $5.50. Darn near half the price. Fleetwood's Tap Room was recommended to me. I would not come back anytime soon. The service was horrible! Our waitress told us the restaurant was too busy to get flights of beer. There were at least 1/4 of the restaurant open. Our waitress never came to check on us after our food came out. Every time we tried to get her attention she completed ignored us. We sat with empty plates at our table for about 15 minutes. We asked the hostess for help, she too had an attitude and acted like it was such an inconvenience. Our waitress couldn't even put our order in correctly. The runner took our food to another table. When we finally got our pizza, it looked like it had been sitting in the window for a while. Once the restaurant cleared out even more, our waitress was even less prevalent. This restaurant should be ashamed of the laziness of their staff staff and the poor service we received. After almost 30 minutes of waiting I finally asked for a manager. Unfortunately the manager was tied up with an unhappy customer. Lucky for us, Glen came to the rescue!!! Glen was the only good part of my experience here!!! He was able to get our food in 2 minutes. He checked on us and made sure we had what we needed. We found out he hasn't even served on the floor in a while. He was freaking amazing!!!!!!! This restaurant is lucky to have Glen working for them!!!! Do not rush here at all! Popped in for their Sunday Soul Music session hoping for some brunch options. While I was a little bummed it was just the regular dinner menu I did in fact quite enjoy my "Old German" sandwich. It had a great ratio of pastrami and pickles on toasted rye. I went for the vinegar slaw and it was also pretty delicious. My wife got the chopped salad and was a little disappointed. The bacon-buttermilk dressing hinted at a bacon flavor but she felt like having some actual bacon would have gone a long way both in texture and flavor. The service was great and we really enjoyed the soul music being spun by a local DJ. Atmosphere was great as well and I was really impressed with the build out. While it's brand new, they picked finishes and colors that just made it feel like it's always been a part of the neighborhood. I'm hoping they will eventually open for weekday lunch hours as the menu is very lunch centric (mostly sandwiches) and I think would quickly become a popular destination for downtown business folks. read more

Passed by Fleetwood while around the Michigan border. Entering it felt like a bar from my home turf, pretty modern, lots of tvs with sports, pretty women, and good beer. We only went in for a beer or two, and asked for something local. I tried a couple black cloister beers since the brewery was down the street so I heard. The beers were pretty good, and the waitress let me taste them prior. She recommended try the "fleetwood" which is 4 small cups of any tap beer. Would have done that, but we had to be on our way. Good selection of draft craft beers. I had a Maumee Bay Broken Bat Kolsch and a Goose Island 321. We split a chopped salad. Fresh. And I had a Pot Roast sandwich with Mac and Cheese on the side. The sandwich was tasty. We went on a non-game night to avoid crowds. Fun time. We'll be back. read more

I'm happy with the additions to downtown Toledo. This place has a great selection of beers. However I am VERY disappointed in the food. I'm glad they finally added more than 5 items to their menu. However, I paid $8 for a very small flat bread that was bread and pesto with 3 tomatoes and 3 pieces of mozzarella - that didn't even cover each slice. One slice was strictly pesto. If you're going to be an "upper establishment" of Toledo then deliver on everything. Not just the beer. Pretty disappointed. Also, it's great the you have a rooftop. But in the summer when people want to actually use it have it open and not just for ticket holders and NOT for a long obscene cover charge. This is Toledo, not Chicago. They'd make a pretty penny if they'd just let people go to the rooftop and utilize it. Drinking a beer on a nice day on a rooftop is great, but when you make me pay a ridiculous cover charge or have a more expensive mud hens ticket you can assure I'll take money elsewhere. read more

Visited here from out of town and it seems like this spot has a lot of potential. They have a very small menu, but I think that's a good thing considering their focus is on beer/draft beverages. The draft beer menu is extensive and they offer flights which is great. On the food menu, there's a few appetizers, salads, mac and cheese + chili, about 8 sandwiches and two hot dogs (one chili and one regular) all coming with a side of mac + cheese, or slaw and house made chips. I ordered the Old German sandwich - smoked pastrami, havarti, pickles, onions, and horseradish sauce - with a side of the house mac + cheese. The mac + cheese was good. The sandwich needed some work. The presentation was great, however it was overwhelmingly salty - and I loooove salt. It was also a little too dry. The chips were lacking flavor (and salt) and didn't seem too fresh. They were okay. Could be better. The whiskey sours I had were perfect. It seems as though this spot has perfected the drink department and needs to work on the food aspect. We had a large party and our waiter was polite, but had brought out some of the correct entrees with the wrong sides and normally, waiters just leave the plate and return with the correct side, however he hastily removed the entire board of food and returned about 5-10 minutes later with the correct order. Again, it was fine, but clear that some work needs to be done here. I'm looking forward to trying this spot again when we visit Toledo next time. read more

The 2 stars are solely for the attentive service. Food was one step above inedible. From what we could tell, this is a nightclub that serves a couple of frozen pizzas for 10x up charge. We don't go downtown often and I was looking forward to it. Nope. Meijer's freezer aisle would've done the trick for way less money. Went to Fleetwoods for the Mud Hens home opener and it was awesome! Our server, Jamal, was incredibly sweet, knowledgeable and on top of everything! They were slammed with people and he was definitely busy, but we didn't wait for anything! I can't give Jamal enough props (he's most of the reason I'm even writing a review). The beer selection was amazing - I think there are around 75 beer selections, and around 45 on tap (don't quote me), the atmosphere was energetic and so fun! The bands were on point and the taproom itself was classy and chic. The only downfall to Fleetwoods was the manager, Brian (hence the 4 stars instead of 5). My friend tried getting the attention of the hostess and then server only to have Brian respond both times. The nicest way to describe him is condescending and pretty rude. He was a bit snippy when we asked for a wait time (we were expecting to wait, just wanted to know if we should grab a beer from the bar or if they thought we would be seated quickly) and then actually had the audacity to put his finger up at my friend when she was simply trying to signal for another drink before Jamal walked away (Jamal didn't mind and made sure she got her drink). Aside from Brian needing to adjust his attitude, Fleetwoods is on point and most definitely worth checking out!! read more

The food menu is small, but really tasty and quality food. The building is beautiful, with a front and side patio. The Fleetwood is a legitimately good place to grab a drink and unwind. The rooftop bar is nicely furnished with great views. Inside the bar is spacious and well designed. Beer selection - After having lived in San Diego (a craft beer hotspot) for the past 12 years, it is great to have places here like The Fleetwood with quality beer on tap. Another disappointing non experience. Went directly after the mud hens game with mud hens tickets and again was not allowed on the rooftop. Signs in street read -"rooftop open after game". According to the guy at the elevator this should have said an hour after game. Watched fireworks right outside instead of buying a drink from fleetwood. Last time we were turned away we had over 20 people... This time 6. Not crowded on rooftop either time... don't really get what they're going for here. read more

My husband & I ate here before attending a Toledo Walleye game the other night & we were seated right away & our waiter helped us quickly. We both ordered from the rotating beers list & were both very impressed by what we got. I have a gluten sensitivity, and I was very relieved to see the amount of ciders they offered that were out of the ordinary. They have such a great list of options to choose from for different beers & cocktails, so everyone can find something they like! My husband got the Fleetwood Dog & a side of mac & cheese and I ordered the salad (unfortunately they don't have many gluten free options, but I was told they could make the sandwiches w/o the bread). Both of our meals were great - absolutely no complaints. My husband said it was the best hot dog he's ever had, so we will obviously be back! Service was great throughout the whole mean. It got insanely busy closer to the game & our waiter was helping so many people and going back & forth, and another waiter stepped in to take our bill & get us out quickly & efficiently. Great new restaurant in Toledo! We went right after the Mud Hens game ended and had no problem getting a drink or finding a place to sit. We didn't get a chance to check out the food menu, but they had 36 beers on tap, mostly craft beers. They also had live music, which was incredible! Hats off to those wonderful musicians! They played a decent variety of music. Check this place out after a game, but make sure you go out the outfield exit, or exit through the Swamp Shop. PS...they have a roof top, but that's really through the Mud Hens so you have to have game tickets, and I think the bartender said there was an additional cost and that it can get rented out for private parties. Excellent selection of beers and conveniently located right next to Fifth Third Field. Another place with something for everyone, including a few nitro taps. The nitros were uprising, though, as the one I ordered didn't mention it on the list. It was a happy bonus, though, although they should probably advertise that a bit better. I'll always give a nod to a nitro. Food is pretty much sandwiches and appetizers, but the sandwich I had was good. It was an Italian of sorts (I forget the name) and could have had a bit more dressing or something added to it. It was tasty but dry. Service was great. I'm amazed at how many "beer places" don't have knowledgeable staff, but our server knew his stuff. read more

Came here with a group of friends and attempted to go to their rooftop area (unfortunately it rained, boooo). Sat on the patio for a bit until the rain drove us inside. We found out that if you want to eat on the rooftop, you have to order your food and drinks at the bar and then carry them up yourselves. The rooftop is always busy with business functions and weddings, so hopefully there will be another time when I can check this place out. Our waiter, Kevin, was great and gave helpful tips and advice. He even told us about his new secret drink, the Basic Bitch (ask about it! So yummy!). So I started myself off with a nice glass of the Bubbles (it's like a blend of rose wine and cider....$7) and got the Smoked Chicken Pesto Flatbread ($9). I was disappointed with my flatbread because even though I could see the pesto, I could not taste it at all. It was sad. We all shared the Pretzel Bites ($9) as a group and that was so yummy! Wish we had more! Not a bad place to hang out with friends! It was super noisy inside since there was a live band as well, so if you want to catch up with friends you haven't seen in a long time, then I would try a different place. If you want to chill with your bros and watch sports (they had several TVs so you could watch may different college football games). Pros: - more pub style food that is great comfort food - lots of drink options - you can get a view of Fifth/Third Field, home of the Mud Hens stadium from the roof top Cons: - my flatbread could have been way better.....could not taste the pesto at all - love the live band, but it made it impossible to catch up with friends who were sitting next to me - parking can be a bit difficult in the down town area, but you need to know where to look ;) Why I gave it 3 stars... It's more of a place to hang out with your buddies and watch college football. I wish my flatbread was more tasty (I saw the pesto, but didn't taste it at all!). Gotta try those Pretzel Bites! Good atmosphere & a fun crowd but it's WAY over priced! They definitely need more restrooms and bartenders were nasty rude! I watched them ignore customers and only wait on whom they chose. Eye-rolling at customers and talking about some that were sitting at the bar. It really wasn't that busy and they were staffed appropriately. Just super unprofessional! It left a bad taste for me and isn't worth the extra money. There are lots of fun places to go downtown now & not have to witness the egotistical drama queens at Fleetwood's. It's a shame the the Mudhens a baseball team was able with funding to open up their own bars and restaurants out side of the stadium to take local business away from others. They aren't even doing a good job. Both places are pretty lousy from employee training to the food. Multiple visits disappointing. They need consulting terribly. Area looks nicer but that's all it is. Waste of money going here. read more

Fleetwood's is very frustrating to me and I give them 3 stars because of the lackluster service. They have one of the best beer and whiskey selections in Toledo, awesome food choices, and a really cool ambiance that truly embraces the "brewery" vibe. They also have live music very often and a cool patio open in the warmer months that overlooks another area with live musicians. I have recommended Fleetwood's in the past as a place to check out to my out of town friends, but I have recently been very disappointed with the service. The last time I was there we waited well over 45 minutes just to get our drink order. We had planned to eat there as well but decided to go to a different restaurant simply due to the service. This wasn't the only time this had happened but was kind of the breaking point for me and I haven't been back since. I'm very disappointed as this had always been one of my favorite spots in Toledo:( I would absolutely recommend checking them out for their beer, food, live music, and ambiance but the service leaves a lot to be desired. read more

Service was not very good. After we got seated no one waited on us for about 10 mins. The atmosphere was nice, we sat on the patio. We went right before the Mud Hens game. The food was okay. I had the pastrami and rye which was good, but the slaw and the chips were disappointing. They did have a really good craft beer selection, which was nice. The had the berry bumble...yummy. Your basic big-room bar with an excellent array of beer but nothing much in terms of atmosphere. The Friday I visited (late) there was a lonely singer crooning John Prine and a tattooed young'uns bachelorette party, but less than a lot of electricity. Wife and I came here for some 75 degree patio beers. Was pretty empty - service was really quick. Long beer list is a good thing but man prices are rough. Much like our experience at NINE things were good but not worth the extra cost. (I think it may be tax subsidized too?) Suprised that they were out of quite a few beers (excusable when you're bringing in uncommon selections) but also being out of one of the appitizers we ordered? Pretzel bites were tasty though!
