Like everyone else, I had nothing but a positive experience. I had a scratch on my rear panel, and they quoted a reasonable price, were able to accommodate my schedule and it was ready on time. Unfortunately, finding a good, honest body shop is a kind of "bad news" situation. The fact that you have to go to a body shop means that you were in an accident and possibly someone hit your car. In my case, I went to Giant to get some beers for a Superbowl party during the snowstorm and upon my return I found my 2007 Mini Cooper with the right side caved in. I was in Giant more than ten minutes and wham; someone had hit my car and took off. Granted it was during the crazy snowstorm and the parking lot had a thick layer of snow but still the hit and run was demoralizing. After extensive web research, I really no clear winner about who was good in the area, but in the end I decided on checking out First Choice. Review websites didn't really have good info on the quality of work and through my research I found that a BMW enthusiast forum recommend Wagonwerks and First Choice. So I drove down to First Choice with insurance claim in hand and drove into the parking lot and it hit me that the parking lot was full of new BMWs and other luxury cars and I thought I'd be in good hands. I met with the gentleman inside and he was respectful and knowledgeable. He looked at the estimate and said that it was way optimistic and that he would need to a do a supplement and extension for the time to do the job right. I liked the fact that he wasn't about a quick buck but wanted to make sure my car was fixed correctly. I coordinated a time to bring it in: about two weeks later. So in the end I got my car back and I had to call a couple times throughout the course of the work because there were some delays with my insurance company approving the extra work, but the bottomline is that the car is pristine and it's like the accident never happened. I recently bought a new BMW and the day I rolled it off the lot, somebody rear ended me pretty badly on 495. Pretty shitty day in my life. After looking around at online forums and at the recommendation of the dealership, I found that First Choice was the best place to get the damage fixed. The insurance company gave a superficial estimate of $3000. First Choice found an additional $8000 worth of damage and worked with the insurance company on the supplementals. First Choice has a slightly higher labor rate than was covered by the insurers, but worked with them so they would cover that as well. Ray & Pete kept me up to date on the latest status and returned the vehicle to me probably in better condition than when I received it! I'm very happy with the end result and recommend them highly for any work on your German vehicle. read more

Just had damage repaired to our car. I'm pretty sure most other body shops would NOT have sent this car out the door with very obvious gaps around the hood and bumper cover. Pretty much killed the cars resale value. They did contact us to let us know they were having issues getting the new parts installed on the car and that we would need to pay more for a 'correct fit'. That said, I assumed they were talking about a minor discrepancy, not major obvious problems with the fit and finish. It was not a quality job-- definitely cannot recommend this business. read more

Unfortunately, I had flat tire when i worked midnight shift. I waited until to get off from work at 9 am. I called Fleming's 1st choice auto body randomly on Yelp. Tim picked up my phone call and helped me out a lot. After our conversation, he knew my workplace near 5' from his auto shop. He came over, carried on a small air tank and used an air pump to fill the tire. So at least I could drive to the service tire place. While trying to squeeze my car into a narrow parking spot this morning, I scraped my bumper on one of the columns. I panicked after seeing the damage that was done. I did not have any dents but there was a decent-sized area that was scraped/scratched up. I looked up some ways to fix this online but quickly figured out I needed an expert opinion. Anyway, called a couple of places and tried to make an appointment online at a body shop (told me they couldn't confirm and I had to wait a day or two for confirmation) but the call to Fleming is what did the trick for me. Tim answered the phone himself (other places I was on hold or some other person answer that did not really feel reassuring). He said there was no need for an appointment and to drop by if I was in the area. Took the car over. Tim let me into his shop, greeted me personally and I guess knew I was the one that called because he has asked what I was driving. He took a look at the damage and went back and got something to clean it up with. Pretty much good as new with some minor deeper scratches that obviously will take more work but they are barely visible. Tim said to come back if it was anything more serious and did not charge me. After seeing all the great reviews of Fleming I decided to use them to fix a dent/scratch resulting from a poorly executed parking move. I was nervous because my BMW 535i was in showroom condition but after meeting Tim and he made me feel he could return it to its original condition. He gave me the estimate and said it may take 3-4 days. Since I needed a car for the weekend, I asked if there was any way I could get it Friday and he said he would try. Happy to report that they emailed me that the car would be ready by noon Friday, and it looked like nothing ever happened. Tim Fleming restored my faith in humanity today. I knew when I squeezed my Honda Civic into the unreasonably tight spot in the parking garage I was asking for trouble. Sure enough, I smashed my side mirror on the way out. I tried to put the pieces back together, but I knew it wasn't going to keep the rain out, and it could fall off while driving. It was 4:30pm on Thursday, and I decided to turn to Yelp to find a professional to help. After reading the reviews, I called Fleming's. The gentleman that answered said, "bring it in." Tim Fleming quickly came out (in the rain) and taped my mirror so that it would not get water damaged or fall off on my road trip to New York tomorrow. Fleming Automotive Services is the ONLY shop in this area that you should let touch your vehicle. It would be an error even to CONSIDER giving your vehicle to another shop. (Notice all the 5-Star reviews!! There are good REASONS for all of them!!) Apart from the highly ethical character of the owner, Tim (and his staff, too), Tim has developed proprietary techniques for repairing vehicles. He developed these techniques over the many years of his practice so that his team's repair efforts resemble an "art" even more than mere restoration. I had a tree fall on my Camry and got a quote from a totally different body shop that was recommended by/affiliated with my insurance company. I wasn't impressed with the caliber of the professionalism when I got an estimate from this other shop; I simply didn't have confidence with that body shop. To the extreme contrary, not only did I enjoy at Fleming the type of stellar customer service experience that I thought no longer existed, but the great customer experience was actually OUTSHINED by the repair work. I was astounded that my car looked like new after his repairs, without even the slightest suggestion that there had been dents! (I asked how this was possible, and he took the time to personally show me how some of the repairs were accomplished--AMAZING! I'm sure he had other affairs to attend to, and yet he took time out of his day for me as a courtesy.) His shop is even conveniently located next to a car rental location, so you can rent a car while your car is getting repaired. Frankly, I admit to having a bit of reluctance to encourage ALL others to patronize Fleming on the basis that the shop might get too busy for my own needs if an accident ever befalls me again. However, since I hope to become a more productive member of the Yelp community, I feel obliged to encourage ALL others to seek-out Fleming for vehicle body repairs. In a world where we've become overwhelmed by too many choices and the need to research "best options", here is one "no-brainer." Don't even bother continuing evaluating other locations. I have been to Flemings several times over the last decade +. Although nobody ever wants to go to a body shop, it's often unavoidable when you want to keep your car sharp looking. Tim has always done a great job for me...at a great price. I read another review where the person came in wanting to haggle on price, but the price was so good that he couldn't even think about it. Well, I had the same experience. In fact, I was just there last week to have a ding repaired on my virtually brand new car (less than 10K miles). I had an excellent experience at Fleming's. My car had a small dent near the roof which also required re-painting. I had taken it to several other local shops before coming across Fleming's, and none of my other experiences compared to here. I brought my car in on a Tuesday after work and was immediately helped by Jade, Tim's daughter. She quickly took my information, did a brief inspection of the damage, and said Tim would be out shortly to confirm the work needed. Unfortunately, I could not leave my car there for work at the time (they were already booked out for the week). However, I received a quote shortly after leaving and it was by far the fairest I received. Other shops quoted me double or more. I brought my car back in the next Monday morning, and by Wednesday the work was complete. Not only did they do a beautiful job on the repair, they even went as far as cleaning both the interior and exterior of the car, and somehow managed to remove the stubborn dog hair on my seats. From start to finish, I had such a great experience. Tim and Jade are friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. I hope I don't need more work anytime soon, but if I do I will certainly return to Fleming's. read more
