My brother was admitted for care and, within hours, was left in respiratory distress without timely suctioning, and his feeding tube was not even connected, leaving him without nutrition for an extended period. Despite repeated requests, staff response was delayed and inconsistent. Throughout his stay, we experienced ongoing issues with call lights going unanswered, lack of basic hygiene care, and unprofessional, dismissive communication from staff. On one occasion, a staff member spoke to him in a demeaning manner rather than addressing his concerns. Most concerning was the lack of urgency during a medical emergency. When he experienced severe respiratory distress, staff response was delayed, and emergency services were only called after persistent family advocacy. He was later hospitalized, where the findings indicated a severe case of pneumonia. No family should have to repeatedly advocate just to ensure basic, timely care for their loved one. This experience raised serious concerns about patient safety, responsiveness, and overall quality of care. I hope the facility takes meaningful corrective action to prevent this from happening to others.

It was not too hard, but not easy either. I just stayed relaxed and tried to do the best I could. The language was Pakistani language. Zahra was the internet. She was very nice and polite. Ernie and I both received a small compensation gift card from the San Marco Publix. Ernie's card was loaded. I tried to load mine and even though it was sealed-had zero dollars. Some fraudulent person already used the card. I hope they catch them. I filed a claim and after investigation-I should receive my money. I did not like the long crazy drive to Orange Park, Fl at all. The building was nice, had plenty of seats all around. Outside had a wonderful memorial for military to show support. I always appreciate this. They had picnic tables outside. They give you this very nice tablet to do all new patient information in. Also you make a payment on the very same tablet. The receptionist was so amazing, friendly, informative, cute and very helpful. The nurse was very nice and friendly Dr. Moore was very magnificent with his wonderful bedside mannor. He was very informative, very nice, easy to talk to and he listened to me.. really listened to what i had to say and is currently helping to find the right diagnosis. While there he contacted the docters hecwas referring me to and get this.. they will call me to set up the appointments. I've never had that done before usually the doctor or receptionist hands you business cards for doctor referrals. I loved this place Even the gentleman that works in the lab was wonderful. Again very charismatic, friendly, informative, helpful and funny. The way they all cared about the patients and were all so funny and talkative. This for sure will be our new family doctor. When she found a lump she referred him to a specialist. And we waited and waited. No one from the specialist called us. We called a specialist and he Said he never got the referral. Come to find out Dr. Calhoun's office never sent it over to him. They promised they would and we waited a week. They never sent it over and my husband got angry and he raised his voice. Now considering that his brother is in stage for prostate cancer it is a reasonable reaction to be a little bit nervous. Well the end result was we got a letter throwing us out of the practice because he raised his voice. I was sitting next to him when he called. He wasn't shouting he raised his voice. He was upset and I think he had a good reason. For Dr. Calhoun to drop him in the middle of all of this is unethical. And the office staff is uncaring. We ended up with a different Doctor Who has a wonderful office staff and we're having a better experience. We also found out he doesn't have prostate cancer which is quite a relief

So, irresponsibly, they're keeping a small waiting room full of potentially COVID positive people for much more than 15 minutes together. If you didn't have it before you walked in, you could catch it there for sure. The only precaution is that everyone must wear a mask. In the hours I was there I didn't see any staff disinfect the place. Oh and the doctor is walking around with the same set of gloves on as she sees patients. No, she did not change her gloves upon coming into the examination room to see me. Normally I have no issues with this clinic, but today the whole thing was wrong. Irresponsible and unsanitary. Edited to add: management contacted me immediately after I gave company my feedback. They've changed the procedure for COVID testing back to appointments to minimize exposure. They also acknowledged doctor not changing gloves is not okay and will address accordingly. I am changing my review from 1 star to 4 stars after this new development.
