You need to make sure that you are getting this year's model. I bought two bows there about 5 years apart and I believe that both of them were a previous year, or perhaps two years old, model. The first had a defect where there had been a recall such that I'm guessing that my bow had to be from that year. The second the bow lacked a feature that that exact model has ... this year. I would suggest getting the serial number off of your bow and calling the manufacturer to make sure that the bow that you are looking at is from this year. Or buy online. Even if they do the setup and install does not mean they will stand behind their products. My bud had an early failure, not quite a same day failure, and they charged him for the fix. Very friendly and knowledgeable people, but they aren't running their business as a service. read more

Everyone is very friendly here, always helpful and willing to answer questions and give opinions. Prices are very reasonable on equipment and work being done on your bows. Myself and others I know/have talked to have had issues at other shops with getting treated poorly and talked down to for being either newbies or not knowing terminology for every little part of equipment etc.West Town NEVER treats you like that, they understand not everyone is an expert and we all start somewhere, they do not treat you as less than, or an idiot, roll thier eyes, etc. You will get respect, you will get tips and tricks, you will get amazing service every time. Love their indoor range. Offers multiple shooting distances and targets. Tge stass are very knowledgeable and are willing to help with any questions. Also, they are very paitcent with ammatures. You can tell that the people love what they do and take pride in archery, the store, and their customers. Note: Indoor prices very reasonable $8 for an hour with your own equipment. I came in on Sunday looking to upgrade my bow. The associates are very knowledgeable and friendly. I got to test out 4 different bows that I had some interest in. I chose the one I liked the best, Traded in my old bow, and got the new one professionally set up. Got my bow the same day, and got range time with the purchase allowing me to sight it in. Great experience. Will definitely be back again for my next bow, as well as to utilize the range. read more

What Fred fails to point out is that he gave me a useless extra product. After checking multiple reviews online I found out the lighted nocks were garbage. Like I had stated earlier, the owner Fred didn't install the nocks, because he probably knew in advance that it was an inferior product that others had trouble with. I have been to West Town Archery several times and have worked with several different people. I just traded in my Stryker 380 crossbow for a new Raven. The people and service have been fantastic! I can't say enough about Rob, one of the owners. He is a pleasure to work with and talk to. Very helpful staff both on sales and repairs. I came in to look at bows and to gain some knowledge before purchasing my first bow in years. I did eventually buy a bow from them after trying other methods to get a used bow. I have been back several times since and every time they go above and beyond to make sure my bow is working and the price seems low the the services I have gotten. read more

I stopped after work at 5:30 to use the crossbow lane. It was being used at the time so I said I would be back at 6:30. I was asked if I had ever been here before and I said no, this is my first time here and my first time shooting this crossbow. I was shown the crossbow lane and told which target was the crossbow target. After the first arrow went right thru the target, I had to pull it thru the back of the target and it ruined my fletchings permanently. So I then moved back to the 25 yard mark instead of the 20 yard mark. The second arrows fletchings did not get ruined. After I shot the 3rd arrow, the fletchings went into the target and ruined them again. I thought this is no way a crossbow target so I went to the counter and showed the man my arrows with the ruined fletchings and asked if that was really the crossbow target. He said "oh yeah, you cant aim for the center though, you have to aim for the little circles around the bullseye because so many people have been using the crossbow target lately, and we can re-fletch your arrows for $3 each". Obviously I said no thanks and told him I'll just quit shooting here then. If an archery range cannot provide usable targets, they shouldn't be called an archery range. Then he said I can use a blow dryer to fix my fletchings, (which did not work when I tried it at home). So I packed up my crossbow and was heading out. Then the man behind the counter walked to the cash register and expected me to pay. When I said I don't think I should have to pay for the 10 minutes or less I used your "crossbow lane" since 2 of the 3 arrows I shot got ruined by your supposedly "crossbow target". I also told him that you should have told me not to shoot for the bullseye before I started shooting since I told you I have never been here before, and aiming for the bullseye is obviously what everyone is going to do. He said, "fine, just leave then", and he said it very rudely. I can't believe this is the way people are treated at West Town Archery, and I can't believe they have the right to call their crossbow lane an actual "crossbow lane", since the target I just bought at Fleet Farm today is better than what their professional shooting lane has. I even sent an email the next day telling about my terrible experience, and to no surprise, they never emailed me back. I will tell everyone not to go to West Town Archery unless you want your gear ruined. read more
