Throughout the entire daunting process of design, sizing, and diamond procurement I never felt rushed, and I always had complete faith that he was looking out for my best interests. The diamond world is overwhelming, and trusting the person you are working with is paramount. The final product of the ring is spectacular but what I love most about it is that its more tailor-made for my wife then she ever could have imagined. Lucho took the way I described my wife in conjunction with the elements I liked on other rings to construct something that is innately hers. And for that I am eternally grateful. My wife and I are not materialistic people, and the scale of the diamond was never the driver, but what was critical was constructing something that showed my deep love and understanding for my wife and Lucho was able to do this to a degree I would have thought was impossible. Beforehand, he provided Arubha with all of the specifications he was looking for in a diamond and the setting, and by the time he came for their appointment, she had numerous options of diamonds for him to pick from. Once he picked a diamond, Arubha was able to make my gorgeous engagement ring, which was exactly what I wanted. I get so many compliments on it! When it was time for my husband and I to buy wedding bands, we immediately went back to Arubha for help. It was a little trickier this time because we had moved to Los Angeles and we had a limited time frame on when we could pick up our rings before the wedding, but Arubha was so wonderful working with us. She was so responsive over email when we sent her pictures of what each of us was looking for in a wedding band. I looked up and down for a walk-in jewelry store near my work just to find a finger sizer. No luck. I found her Yelp and expected to be turned away because it's a private showroom. Instead, a lovely woman wearing a magnifying mask greeted me and gave me a tour of her showroom and workspace. Donna graciously took my finger size and did not try to do any sales pitch but her work was so beautiful that I definitely wanted to know more. She draws a lot of inspiration from Rennaissance art and architecture and her pieces have a distinctly old-world feel with unparalleled craftsmanship and attention to detail. We spoke at length about her work and discussed the potential of her making a custom bridal circlet for me when the time comes. She gave me some marketing materials and I will definitely be in touch with her as soon as we know the date. I got back to my desk and started to do some research and it turns out her background is quite impressive. She has many celebrity clients, was the in-house metalsmith for the Met Museum, and the jewelry mastermind behind the amazing Heavenly Bodies exhibit. The shop is on the second floor up a stairway to the left of a rather gaudy jewelry store so it looked quite shabby in comparison, but don't be afraid! Fernando was very friendly. He and Jorge did my engagement ring and wedding band resizing plus polishing for $30 total. I came back the day after because it was still a little big and they adjusted it again free of charge. If we weren't tourists from across the country, we'd definitely come back!

I wanted purple, which I was told didn't really exist. A friend recommended Brad as being a great "colored stone guy" so we looked him up and I'm very glad we did! My fiancé emailed Brad and told him exactly what we were looking for. Brad had us send in a few examples of settings and colors of stone we liked, and then he found a great assortment of purple sapphires for us to come and see. Once we'd picked a stone, Brad sent us an assortment of photos of sample settings. Fiancé made the final selections and was told the ring would take two weeks. Brad was very patient, helpful, and easy to work with. We felt we were being dealt with fairly and honestly. The ring was finished on schedule. The ring is more beautiful than the one I had in my mind. The sapphire is a bright, sparkly and unique purple hue, and the setting is meticulously detailed. We are both really happy, and highly recommend calling Brad Goldman.
