If I hadn't checked the certificate numbers and measurements, I wouldn't have noticed. They tried to substitute the product without my authorization. This is a bad business practice. When it was time for my husband and I to buy wedding bands, we immediately went back to Arubha for help. It was a little trickier this time because we had moved to Los Angeles and we had a limited time frame on when we could pick up our rings before the wedding, but Arubha was so wonderful working with us. She was so responsive over email when we sent her pictures of what each of us was looking for in a wedding band. She immediately sent pictures of suggestions of rings and other variations that she thought we may like as well as quotes on how much each ring would cost. My husband liked one of her suggestions so much that he actually chose that ring as his band. Arubha was very conscious of how much time we had from when we came back to New York to pick up the rings and before the wedding so she actually overnighted us sample rings for us to try out for sizing. It was such a great idea because we were able to tell her if we liked the rings and what changes we would like made beforehand so by the time we arrived in New York to pick up the rings, they were perfect and no changes were needed! In addition, Arubha gave my engagement ring a courtesy cleaning so it looked like new at our wedding. Unfortunately, within approximately two months, ALL OF MY JEWLERY BROKE/FELL APART. I was SO disappointed because the purpose of having jewelry repaired is to ensure that it is fixed properly and lasts. The quality of the workmanship is EXTREMELY POOR. He then proceeds to blame his poor workmanship on your jewlery (similar to what others said here). That was NOT the case. My pieces are all genuine and well-made. I've had pieces repaired decades ago that have never split open like this. In my opinion, Sash came across as VERY misleading. He talks and distracts you with conversation. He spoke about family and friends, who seem to be the ones receiving the highest level of care (and the ones writing the good reviews), while new customers receive poor service. He also intentionally adds on additional charges without confirming with the customer, that was fine with me, but at least provide the service you charged for. I am posting this review so that other customers can make an informed decision before spending their money here. If you are looking for reliable jewelry repairs, I would recommend considering the other jewelry repair businesses on the same floor. I went to another guy and he did a fantastic job. The owner who owned this previously is no longer here and you can see the quality of work also decreasing. I originally went here to custom make my fiancé's ring because another friend made her ring here (from previous owner). I told Kathy the exact design I had wanted. I assumed that being in a diamond industry, she would have a sense of exactly what I'm asking for. She made the ring, and I immediately hated how it turned out. I requested for her to redo it in which she cut off the top portion, re did it and joint it back leaving yellowness all around the ring. My fiancé absolutely hated the ring because again, it wasn't what I had wanted. At that point I had settled because I was nearing my proposal. My fiancé then went to speak with Kathy and explain all the faults there was with the ring. Kathy suggested she remake the entire ring. When my fiancé picked up the ring, the bottom halo was completely bent. The greeter was very nasty with her saying that she should be thankful she got a free ring. No miss, I paid for my services-- you guys as a diamond expert did not meet the expectation. When my fiancé asked to fix the bent, the greeter told her to get lost with the ring because she's tired of seeing it. My fiancé immediately contacted Kathy and sent her a video that was ignored.
