Staff very friendly and welcoming as this was my first time at this salon. But after spending 2 hours and $75 (includes tip), for full set of gel nails within 12 hours a tip/nail broke off, and within 4 days all the gel nails lifted at the base of my nails and could be taken off with no trouble, some actually just fell off. "Fix it!" - that was the only direction I gave Lori as far as what I wanted done with my hair cut. I had had it cut a few weeks earlier back in Baltimore and he had done, what can only be described as, a hack job! Lori did a great job of fixing the mistake and I now have a cut I love. I've been here twice, and I plan to keep coming back! The woman who has been doing my hair is named Ayumi. She's very friendly, and really listens to what I want. The first time she cut my hair I was very impressed. She did exactly what I asked and kept the length on. The second time (the other day). I came in for a cut and color. I asked for strawberry blonde and it looks AMAZING (in other peoples opinions, too!). Its this wonderful natural looking reddish color, and she added some thin, blonde highlights in my bangs to soften the look, and I keep getting compliments on it! Cut came out great too. The stylist actually blow dried my hair in a style that kept me from seeing the bleach spots on my head before I left. Funny thing is / the lady that washed my hair told the stylist that i had spots (bleach that ran out of the foil- this happens from the foil not being put on tight enough i think) in my hair! read more

First time customer after driving by this salon for years. I was a walk in and my appointment was made with Caleb. He did an amazing color and cut! He took the time to really listen to what I wanted and gave me exactly that! He even did a very relaxing shampoo and scalp massage. All the employees there seemed very friendly as well. The only thing I was a little put off by was how dusty the furniture in the salon was. All of the hair tools were clean, no issue there. I will absolutely be coming back. read more

Scalped and botched. It's been weeks and I still won't be seen without my hat. I had been struggling to grow my hair out, for more than 6 months. It just needed blending at the bottom. Now one side is way shorter than the other, with an embarrassing bald spot where my bangs begin. Caleb is a darling boy but he has absolutely no talent with hair. The shop is worn and outdated. I usually get my hair done here whenever I'm in Florida. I forget the name of the girl I see but she's sort of punkish in terms of her own hair and style. She's really sweet and always cuts my hair the way I like it, and knows a lot about dying hair too so it's a good idea to ask her all of your hair-dye related questions. If you want a wacky/alternative hair color just ask for "the punkish girl" over the phone haha. So true. I've never had my nails done here before so I can't comment on that. I'm sad to say that my friend and I had a horrible experience at Fleur De Lis Salon. We were in a wedding in Port Orange and were unfamiliar to the area. I specifically chose this salon because it was the only salon in the area that would do hair and airbrush makeup. In the past I have had wonderful experience with airbrush makeup and have no problem paying for it. I have bad acne and required full coverage that will last all day and night for the wedding. I'm sure Gerri is a wonderful hair stylist but she is not fantastic at makeup. Here's what I asked for: -airbrush makeup -natural colors on my eyes (browns) -cat eyes for eyeliner -false lashes Here's what I got: -foundation I could've applied myself with makeup brushes -purple eyeshadow -NO eyeliner -poorly applied false lashes -visible acne Gerri thought it didn't matter much what I wanted and decided to do the makeup without airbrush without asking for my permission. When I asked her she rudely and condescendingly told me that airbrush was a waste of money and the way she wants to do it is better. She used to phrase "I want to do what I want to do". I pushed back but relented when I realized putting up a fight would just annoy her and make my makeup worse. When I asked for false lashes she made a point to act annoyed because false lashes are a pain to apply. She then did a HORRIBLE job applying them! There was a visible gap of skin between my lashes and the false lashes and they were falling off in the corner of my eyes. There was another bridal party in the salon and it was clear she was trying to get me out of there as fast as possible so she could get to them. I had a slightly better experience with my hair stylist (can't remember her name). She was friendly and did an okay job. The hair seemed a little sloppy and I had a lot of fly away hairs. Overall the style was what I had asked for. My fellow bridesmaid had an even worse experience than I did. She also asked for natural eye shadow and got BLUE! She asked four different times for her to lighten up the colors and still ended up with a horrible 80's look. She refused to use airbrush on her. She practically glued her eyes shut with false lash glue and also left a giant skin gap between her real and false lashes. At this point we were running so late we didn't want to waste our time trying to get a discount on the services. We practically ran out of there and almost started crying because we looked so horrible. The only thing that saved our asses is the fact that I'm very good at applying makeup. We ran to walgreens, bought a bunch of false lashes, went back to our hotel and took all of our makeup off!!!!! I spent an hour doing both of our makeup with my own products. I did a much better job covering my acne than she did. My makeup application job looked a thousand times better than the one I paid for. Not sure how Gerri messed up the lashes so badly. I have zero training and got my lashes on well on the first try. It was a awful waste of time and money and I deeply regret it. I thought about calling to request getting some money back but it turns out Gerri is the owner and I don't think she would take kindly to my feedback. I have actually never left a yelp review before. This experience was so terrible I feel it is my duty to warn people. Weddings are stressful enough...this made the day incredibly hectic and overwhelming. So...if you're going for a decent updo..your hair will turn out fine. DO NOT waste your money getting your makeup done here! read more
