I'd like to know why one of the associates here allowed someone to change my name, DOB, and address on my DIAMOND level Ulta account and spend over $100 worth of my points without showing ID! I began getting e-receipts and notices of changes on my account from Ulta. I opened up my Ulta account to find my name changed to a man's name, my DOB changed to a completely different DOB, and my west coast address changed to an Orlando address! ALL WITHOUT CHECKING ID! In-store purchase history of 2 different transactions in this store for over $100 using Ulta points! I live on the complete opposite side of the country, so how did someone in this store even find my account? I don't even know anyone in Florida! I immediately called this store and spoke with a manager who gave me the 800 number to Ulta customer service. I called 5 times and nobody could help me! I then had to drive to my local Ulta and have them change my personal info back on my account and add check ID to my account name. I had to continue emailing Ulta customer service and calling multiple times before my points got returned. This location could not help me at all, yet it was this location that allowed someone to take over my account and spent my points! I have since spent all the points on my account and will no longer be shopping at Ulta! read more

Yesterday I had a hair appointment with a terrific stylist. No complaints about her! However there was a group of 4 women that were very obnoxious the entire time I was there they cackled, took over the entire hair stylist area. Everyone else was affected by the women's behavior. This should not be allowed at an upscale place like Ulta! I'm going to let upper management know about this as well. Please address the situation! read more

I have experienced a great deal of hair loss so my hairdresser at home stopped coloring my hair. I was very self conscience about my thin areas and how my hair looked. My husband was seeing Claravel at the Pavilion store and loved how she cut his hair so I decided to make an appointment with her. SHE IS A MIRACLE WORKER!!! This was my first time in an Ulta store, I am a 50 year old woman. Sales staff is rude and needs more training on how to speak to customers. They acted like it was a burden to answer my simple questions such as, Where are the prices to the products? When they showed me how the price was located under the product (not for all products either) on the display stand, it was in a rude manner, like how could I not know that. Maybe they are only accommodating to younger, repeat customers? It's unfortunate because this "older" woman had plenty of $$ to spend there. read more

Finding a stylist in Flagler County that does true razor cuts has been impossible, so when a local stylist said she did razor cuts I booked an appointment and hoped for the best. I arrived with an open mind, but unfortunately, the experience and the cut were very disappointing from beginning to end. The shampoo experience was lackluster, and the amount of conditioner left in my hair was excessive. No protective product was applied to my hair (a must for razor cuts) and the stylist used a razor that she literally dug out from the depths, one that had remnants of previously cut hair on it. Gross! I offered my razor, but she declined. As with every other local stylist that falsely claims to be proficient in razor cuts, she applied the rip/tear method, even after I mentioned preferring what she referred to as the slide method. Rip/tear means handling the hair as one does with a scissor cut, then pulling/ripping/tearing the ends of the hair with a razor. I should have left the moment I saw what she was going to do because the technique does not produce the desired results. One side was cut longer than the other, and after four attempts to correct it I gave up letting her try, only to go home and fix it myself. Then I promptly reordered Donald Scott's Prepare/Glide spray, and to soothe my disappointed soul I expanded my cutting tools collection (Donald Scott Swivel Twist Razor is my fave) by adding a Chop Stik Razor to my order...because it will probably be another 10 years before I visit another salon again -- if ever. read more

I left all of my make up on airplane so I had to start over from scratch and after talking to her and listening to her with other shoppers I realized she knew exactly what she was doing and I told her just to show me everything that she would buy and that's what I did to replace all my make up! read more

I asked for the littlest bit of hair of for a trim into a vcut. Ofcourse I knew there would be some taken off the sides.. but she literally chopped 6 inches off. I am so pissed. I showed her a picture and my hair was as along as the picture and look what she did. How do you even do that as a hairdresser? The salon is top notch and the stylists are very professional. Ulta is constantly running sales where you can get a sweet deal on hair products, makeup, and hair tools/accessories. I'm up in the Daytona area visiting my mom and I needed some stuff from Ulta and my mom wanted me to pick some anti-aging stuff for her as well. So there was an Ulta nearby. I love Ukta, never had a bad experience and usually a solo shopper but I've never had to buy anti-aging stuff. And nobody offered to help me look, there wasn't an employee in sight. They didn't have the products I was looking for, very low on stock. I was just a little disappointed. However, they did have the self Tanner I wanted. And my mom ended up liking the things I was able to find. I kept the recipes though! read more

This first part is an edit to this review that I left a couple of years ago... Since this review, Frankie has left Ulta, and now works at the Runway Salon in the Spruce Creek Fly In Community in Port Orange. A much more relaxing and comfortable atmosphere! I am new to town and was very nervous to trust my hair to someone new. I made an appointment with Frankie for a cut and color. I have never been so happy with my hair as I am now. He expertly found my color, although it was from a different product line and my highlights really pop, without looking too contrived. His cut was phenomenal and is the first stylist to ever make me love my hair when I left the salon, as opposed to making me want to run home to brush it out! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is out of his control. I don't like sitting in a retail space for a hairstyle, but I will continue to in order to keep Frankie as my regular stylist in port orange! read more

Had a horrible experience today with getting an OPI Gel Polish manicure at Ulta! Tech was very preoccupied with everything and everybody around her, I felt like a mannequin. She didn't listen to what I wanted, had globs of gel polish all over my cuticles and unevenly distributed and 'cured' on the nail itself. Melissa was kind enough to come to my aid when she saw how unhappy I was, took all the gel off. I left with no polish on and my nails looked like they went through a meat grinder. read more

If you are a guy like me and want to make your girl smile on her birthday/anniversary/whatever but know absolutely nothing about makeup, this is the place for you. I walked in with a picture on my phone of a product my girlfriend sent me a few months back, and was helped almost immediately by a wonderful employee. Then, when I asked what I could do to add a little something extra for my girl, she helped me find the perfect item. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. I am from New York and went to this salon for my friends wedding. It was such a wonderful experience! I had a picture of how I wanted my hair and had Heather as a hair stylist. She was absolutely wonderful and my hair came out exactly as it was in the picture. Then for makeup I had Alexa, I wasn't sure how I wanted the makeup done so she asked what color dress I was wearing and she did what she thought would be good with my coloring and the dress. Made an appointment with Brooklyn for a men's clipper cut. Get to Ulta and wait around for a few minutes, and then my boyfriend goes back. A few minutes later he finds me in the store and tells me they said the price would be $50. Apparently Brooklyn was backed up and for an 'accomodation to us' my boyfriend was put with another stylist. We were not told about any of this at all (no call beforehand nor were we told when we checked in). She stated that to be with this hairstylist it would be $50. I pull up the website for this specific Ulta and show that the price is $21. She responds stating that's just a clipper cut and no scissors, which I then read WORD FOR WORD the fact that it 'includes clippers and scissors for short hairstyles' (my boyfriend has hair no longer than 2"). Never once did they offer to charge the $21 which would have ACTUALLY been accommodating for the backed up hairstylist we originally had an appointment with. Their idea of accommodating is changing stylists without even mentioning it until my boyfriend was in the chair and told it would be $50 instead. I was INCREDIBLY furious and thought they were beyond unprofessional trying to charge more for what is basically a glorified Hair Cuttery. Needless to say, we walked out and will NEVER book an appointment with them again. Don't waste your time or money. read more

Love this Ulta! Had fantastic partial foil, cut with Kim and OPI nails with Melissa. Came back a few weeks later for second OPI nails plus a deep conditioning treatment for hair...HIGHLY recommend...leaves hair so soft....with Kim. Returning in two weeks for another OPI nails and full foil! Kim and Melissa are amazing, but everyone in the store and salon area are super friendly and helpful. One employee helped me select a new flat iron and I absolutely love it...blows my old one away! The makeup and general overall product selection is terrific! We are recent snow bird residents and this was my FIRST time having my hair done by anyone other than my regular stylist at home in, well, I can't remember when. I was nervous but Kim put me right at ease. I got back and my husband loved it and he never says much :) anyway great place with great staff. Will be my go to spot from November-May and bonus! Located in the Port Orange Pavilion, close by with lots of amazing shops. Add in Ulta rewards points for purchases including salon services and I couldn't be happier! Highly recommend! read more
