I made the mistake of choosing to get a car wash on a sunny day but I'm glad I got some extra time because it allowed me to finally explore Fleurs Du Soleil which is right next door! I've driven by this place a ton of times but never stopped in. This will definitely be my new go-to flower shop! I was able to pick up a beautiful orchid and some succulents. The succulents will make a great addition to my garden and I just love orchids since they tend to last a lot longer than your average cut flower arrangement. Speaking of arrangements, they had a great selection and it seems they can customize to your liking. The staff was super friendly and taught me so much about caring for my new plants. Can't wait to stop in again soon. Oh, and besides flowers, they had a great selection of gifts. If I didn't vow to stop buying cook books there were 3 or 4 I was planning on scooping up. read more

Although they have made beautiful bouquets in the past, they seem to have slipped. My aunt, who is elderly and lives out of state, has sent my mother, who is also elderly and lives in a full care facility, bouquets that have arrived half dead. I called them this last time to complain and they wanted me to take pictures ! What? Do they think we're trying to rip them off?! I explained I wasn't there and the woman I spoke to said she'd speak to the person in charge and get back to me. That never happened. This florist is the best!!! They do arrangements for my hubby's work all the time. He brings home the old flowers for us- they last at least another week here beyond the time they are at his store. Today we went in and asked them to make us up an arrangement with proteas. They have an amazing selection of proteas right now! Gave them our budget and an hour later we picked up this incredible arrangement. I actually looked down and saw them in a bucket and thought 'man, those are incredible flowers' lo and behold they were for us! I can't say enough about them. My husband and I had a wonderful experience working with Dee Dee in store and Meghan on the phone to go through what we envisioned for a bouquet and boutonniere for our elopement. We stopped in store about 2 weeks before our ceremony, and Dee Dee took a lot of notes as we explained what we liked and didn't like. I'm awful with colors/descriptions, so I showed her a photo of the look I was going for. I was also able to walk around the store and point out what I liked and didn't like. Meghan followed up a few days later with a call to finalize details and payment. I was also able to send the same inspo photo via email. After telling Meghan about the day we envisioned, she actually advised spending the lower end of our budget to get something smaller so I wouldn't feel burdened by a large bouquet - I really appreciated this suggestion, and she turned out to be right! My bouquet was perfect for a bit of hiking, and any bigger would've been a struggle. On the day of, we stopped by in the morning and the flowers were ready as promised. It's been a week, and other than adding a bit of water to the vase they came in, they have kept perfectly with no effort, even after we inadvertently left them in a hot car for a few hours the day after the wedding. read more

I highly recommend this florist, they are extremely talented. They did such an amazing job with our wedding flowers! We had a small intimate wedding on the beach and ordered an arch, bouquets, boutonnières and lei's and all were stunning and beautiful. We received so many compliments on the flowers. I requested tropical flowers and it's exactly what they delivered. I did go over the budget I set aside for the flowers but, to me, it was completely worth it. I was worried there might be an issue with communication since we live out of town, but we spoke on the phone several times and communicated via email without any issues. Meghan was so helpful working in our budget and with my ideas and colors. She understood we wanted a little wild and unruly, and also simple but not too small for our guest tables. We had some larger pieces for other parts of the day. My bouquet was unbelievably beautiful- I'd never seen anything so grand and perfect fit for ocean + our reception venue. I hired this florist on the recommendation of my wedding coordinator and booked them many months in advance. I had a hard time getting in touch with the person that had my account starting 2 months out when I was trying to confirm and add additional corsages I was ordering. In addition I started to get worried because they called me twice thinking that I was the wedding coordinator. They seemed disorganized but I wasn't prepared for the bouquet they made for my wedding day in early July. The Bridal bouquet was nothing like I ordered, not the proper shape or that it was supposed to be a mostly green bouquet. It really was ugly and sparse, not my vibe at all and not wrapped in raffia. I was so upset on my wedding day and my friends had to find flowers and greens that were used elsewhere to cobble together a bouquet. That's how low quality the work was. I called the business after the wedding, first explaining the situation to the staff, and then the owner after I called back a couple times to get a hold of her. I wanted to give the owner a chance to make things right. She was dismissive, defensive and rude. I sent a photo of the bridal bouquet and showed that it did not look anything like the inspiration pics and she said she'll call me back later and I never heard from her. So bottom line this florist is not worth your money. I suspect they have some staffing or management issues. Anyway that incident was so upsetting I want to save you from the heartache on your wedding day. read more

Kim and her team are amazing and so professional! I got married in August and was looking for a place that could work with my budget, rather than us breaking the bank to buy flowers. I had looked at several places that forced you into spending at least $2000 and while I would have loved to have flowers everywhere, I had other priorities. Kim and her team explained what they could do with my budget offered options, saw the pictures I brought, and took notes. The day of the wedding they went beyond my expectations, completely capturing my idea and materializing it. They also worked with the cake shop and the restaurant where we were having the reception to deliver flowers to decorate the cake and to decorate the tables themselves. Coordination was simple because they had previously worked together. One less thing for me to worry about! They delivered my hairpiece and bouquet to the hotel, without a hiccup, the day of the wedding. I recommend them 100% and would definitely work with them again. read more

We moved to a small ceremony and checked out flowers at Fleurs Du Soleil while in town to get a marriage license. It's a beautiful store, with unique and really artistic arrangements. We were so pleased to work with the team here, and they captured our inspiration and colors and made something truly stunning. It's taken me over 2 years to write this review because it makes me so upset every time I think about it. I was a local resident of Monterey and had a small wedding of 17 people total. All I needed was 2 bouquets, 4 boutonnieres and 4 small flower arrangements to hang on the pews at the church. I sent them my Pinterest inspo and just wanted a bouncy bouquet with dahlias and dahlias for the boutonnieres. The only thing I specified multiple times via email and in person was I did not want any roses. My flowers arrived on my wedding day with roses. The boutonnieres were a flower that looked very similar to a rose variety. Not once in the months prior did they tell me dahlias might not be an option for them and that I should have a backup option. I was sick to my stomach. When I called they said "they were too busy to see what went out." I couldn't believe a vendor on my wedding day told me they were too busy for me. I was shocked and it was the only thing that went wrong and caused stress on my day. When I eventually asked for a refund they said "if I so feel entitled" to get one they would refund for one of the bouquets and that was it. Would never recommend this florist for a wedding. read more
