Flexspa never acknowledged my feedback when I sent this in private so posting it here, in part. I arrived around 8pm on 9/1/2025 and before crossing the street (from where I parked) to get to the place, I called to confirm room availability since a previous visit required a long wait. The call was answered and I asked about room availability, guy on the line said he will check, after a few seconds I hear from background chatter, and then the line disconnects. When I called back, the call was declined, and on the third attempt the same staff member answered with "Hello Julian," which felt a little dismissive. After asking about availability once again, I was told "yes," so I said I will be there right now, and then the call ends abruptly without further courtesy. When I arrived a minute or two later after crossing the street, the staff (another guy that didn't sound like the one the phone) at the desk helped check me in, I also confirm he wasn't the guy I was on the phone with a couple minutes ago. Then, another staff member (with snake bite piercings, blonde highlights, and a cap) entered during the check in and looked at me and said "oh hello". Based on his voice, I believe he was the one I had spoken with on the phone. When I asked if that was him on the phone, he gives a little smirk and asks "what's your name?" Which came across as somewhat sarcastic, so I didn't even bother to respond back to him. Then, I was told there was a waitlist (4 guys ahead of me) despite being told literally within 2 minutes of the call and arriving at the location that rooms were available. While I completely understand that availability changes quickly, I literally arrived within 2 minutes and there were no customers in the check in line for there to already be 4 guys on the waitlist so clearly the staff member wasn't being honest about room availability over the phone. read more

I've been here a few times, and I had the 6 months membership, I usually get the locker option. Parking can be tricky, I waited about 15 mins one time. I haven't encountered any balance rudeness from the staff. One short pierced Latino guy was making a joke or something or tried to hit on me when I went in. The shower, jacuzzi, wasn't working last time I was there. The crowd is hit or miss. Some familiar faces I see. I tend to like nerd cute jock types. Some of them are here. Yes, I got grabbed and stalked, followed by a few weirdos. I usually stay 5 hrs and go, it's a good hook up place. Just pick and choose when to go, insane on the weekend. This place has always had a meth addict problem but after not being there since Nov 2015 I went. While sitting in the hot tub this guy alone w/me began punching the surface of the water really hard throwing water all over my face. I said "stop that." That made him punch the water really hard over and over so I got out and said "pathetic meth head." So this sketchy guy jumped out, verbally harassed me and began hitting and slapping me on the back as I walked to the office to report him (I'm a big guy unafraid). They threw him out. BUT the next day I texted John the manager and he treated the incident like it was MY fault even though the man was clearly on drugs while screaming that he was NOT on drugs. Who does that? Meth heads. It gets worse. They had all of covid to clean up their act while closed and yet the rear showers are pretty much broken, the other showers have water wasting showerheads in a megadrought, the once super sexy steam room is still NOT WORKING AFTER A DECADE (a main attraction gone), the coffee room is gone, there is no longer a sunday cook out (very popular once) and their website has not been updated in such a long time that it still features an above ground hot tub removed A DECADE AGO (see photo). Worst of all PRICES HAVE DOUBLED. I don't know anything about a bedbug problem. The crowd was sexy, the once unctuous staff was quite polite, the gym has been refurbished, the lockers are no longer rusted messes, but who cares if I am getting beaten by crazies and then blamed for it? That is technically assault and battery. A better bet is the slammer club on beverly. More affordable and easier to get laid without getting wailed on. The slammer club also has a website that shows what you get. But it is a sex club so there is no steam room. Just like flex doesn't have one :) read more

Club Flex is the most awesome club with a history dating back more than 40 years. Thanks to outstanding Management who really care about facility and the patrons who come to enjoy. The current staff is amazing. Extremely hard working and friendly. They strive very hard to keep club very clean and enjoyable. Pool is always awesome (my favorite!)... as well as weight room, steam room and areas to relax. Best of all the crowd is pretty friendly and you will meet some really nice guys here. If you want to just go out and be a w**** this is the place to go plus you guys come here and even though there is no drinking or drugging policy most of the people that are at the facility are on drugs or seems to be on drugs at least. Most of the South and patrons that I encountered were friendly.... Very friendly . I had a pretty good experience here and can't complain but the rates are a little steep and when I inquired about any coupon codes or any discounted rates I got no response back from anyone from their site or otherwise. If you're looking to have a good time or are you just a little tired and need a nap and you don't mind the gay community this would be the place to go. Definitely relaxing and a place I will continue to be a patron of. Kudos FLEX SPAS I would probably eat before I got there though unless you're really really hungry and then they have a small snack bar and machines too buy snacks and drinks. This is the place to be if your looking for sex with no limitations care free safe place to be who you wanna be and have fun

I was there on a Tuesday from 12noon to 330pm. I know, not the best time to go, but that's when I went. The parking lot is gated, parking is free, and there are something like 30 parking spaces. When I got there, there were three available parking spots - on a Tuesday afternoon. Extremely limited street parking. Major downside is the parking. I'd imagine that parking is simply zero on nights and weekends. Uber or Lyft might be the best bet for those times. That won't work for me, as it's about $50 to Uber/Lyft each way from my place. Staff was cool enough, and there is constant cleaning going on. About 30 private rooms (there was a waiting list when I was there), and about 150 lockers. Three single toilet/sink bathrooms. Two large shower areas. One warm outdoor pool, a smaller outdoor hot tub, and plenty of poolside furniture. A covered garden area (?) out back that had some lighting, so it probably looks really cool at night. One dry sauna that was hot but definitely not too hot. The steam room was darkened, open for fun, but was not working. Two good sized play areas. A literal gym with decent enough equipment. Two rooms with leather chairs and TVs playing regular shows. Two vending machines. One water fountain. When I was there, it was mostly older Asian and Hispanic guys. Two really good looking white guys (with suitcases for some reason) that ignored everyone. You get one towel and one packet of lube upon check in. Plenty of free condoms throughout, and they sell bottles of lube and poppers. Free HIV and syphilis testing, although it didn't seem to be going on when I was there. I didn't see any signs of drug use. Not even weed. It's probably insane nights and weekends. Due to parking, I probably won't go at those times. I don't want to drive for 45-minutes only to find zero parking, anywhere. read more

Staff: Yes, they can be rude but they also always seem really busy. Rarely do I see them just hanging out or even chatting with each other. I haven't had too many problems with them but I'll admit I have 'attractive privilege' (but I'll still get attitude when I ask a simple question, they can be ruder to the less attractive looking fellows. Room/bed bugs: I don't think it's a problem anymore but bring your own sheet and towel. Haven't had a problem yet. Tweekers/drugs: Yes, it's gross. Be careful who you engage with. They are usually pretty forward tho, just kindly decline and avoid them. I myself usually have to have drank or have some med to help be there. The music is hit or miss. Sometimes wayyy too loud and sometimes I find myself Shazamming many songs. I think the staff switch who controls it. Steam room needs to work again. Dry sauna needs to be larger. The two theater rooms are cold and uncomfortable. Getting a room is a must (for me anyway). There are some pretty hot guys there tho. You can find what you want mostly. I just like the male sexual energy and to show off/get attention. I'd really like to know what is the best room to get to leave the door open and show off in bed, anyone know?! read more

I've been going to this place for over 15 years now and he's getting really really busy lately. There's always a long wait for rooms, specially on the weekends. My advice for the management is to get more people like the Latino guy with the tattoo on his face. If it wasn't for him, you'll take three days to get a room. They have maybe six or even five employees at a time, but when you go to get a towel, he's there when your Best Buy room, he's cleaning it. MIDTOWNE SPA is closed for good ( how sad) . So I decided to go to the other bathhouse. FLEX located on MELROSE . I paid $42 for a regular room and 1 day membership. In a nutshell I was pleasantly surprise ( I liked a lot but that is me) There are a lot of rooms and lockers is like a maze of rooms . I didn't use the jacuzzi or swimming pool . It was a very cold day. . You can smoke outside in the patio. There are vending machines . There are videos showing porn through out the venue. Lots of condoms all over the place. The music is good ( I prefer techno for a bathhouse but I can't have it all). It was a weekday so no crowds but enough to hook up. The clientele mostly white guys some Hispanics and a sprinkle of other races not too many young guys and that is ok with me. In my opinion a really nice place and very clean. read more

The level of attitude you'll receive from the front staff is off the charts. You can't ask them a basic question like can I get a fresh towel or where am I on the waitlist without them rolling their eyes and ignoring your question by providing a completely irrelevant answer. I asked "I'll be out by the pool, will I be able to hear my number called from out there?" to which he replied "we'll call you" with a ton of attitude. I've only been here a couple of other times and I wasn't familiar with the conversion from locker to room so I didn't grab all my stuff out of the locker when I switched the key. I asked them to open it to which the guy gives me the biggest eye roll I've ever seen in customer/staff relationships. He opens it and proceeds to scorn me. The facility is nice and there's a good mix of guys but the staff is atrociously bad. They're rude, condescending and incompetent. As at least one other reviewer has said, both times I've been their we were put on a list for a room and each time our number was overlooked. We asked them about how long, they said and hour. Two hours later still no room and we ask again how long, they say an hour. Another two hours pass and we go up again and ask and then they say the room is ready, there were plenty of rooms by this time and they still never called our number. On top of that anytime you interact with them, the staff acts like your a nuisance. Ask for another towel, somehow it's the greatest inconvenience for them to reach over to the shelf next to them and hand you one. Some of them have heavy accents and can be hard to understand which wouldn't be much of a problem except it's also hard to hear through the window but if you ask them to repeat themselves they give you even more attitude. Sometimes when you ask them a question, they don't understand/can't hear what your asking and then get mad at you when you ask them again or clarify because they gave an irrelevant answer the first time. I understand it's not the most glorious job and can be downright nasty but their shitty attitude probably makes things 100% worse for themselves. Both of the Midtown Spa locations have a much more pleasant staff so it's clearly not impossible to show some level of competent customer service. If they fired most of the staff (at least the ones who work at the front) and replaced them with literally anyone even slightly better, it would be a great place to go. read more

This was my first bathhouse I went to in my early 20s when they did some promotion $1 locker on a Tues night. Had alot of fun then. I think bathhouses should do a "know your status" program where if patrons show proof of being tested and cleared of stds within 7 days of arriving you get a discount on entry and also given a bracelet you can wear in the club alerting others that you've been tested. It still allows for that anonymous encounter patrons want with an extra element of safety. read more

Be careful with your belongings guys. Just as making sure your car doesn't get towed, you wanna make sure to keep your valuables safe. Someone stole $60 from my wallet and I don't know how they did it. All I know is that they must have entered my room when I'm not there. Management won't and they really can't do anything about it so don't waste your time. All the police can do is write a report. I've seen people lose their cell phone and other things from this club.
