Bed Bug Infestation: I was repeatedly bitten with red painful itchy bites after visiting Flex Hollywood even when not getting a room but just a locker. One time the bites were so severe I went to doctor/dermatologist and he confirmed they were bed bug bites. It definitely came from Flex because i went 3 times within a year and each time it happened. The place is Filthy. The facilities are all broken or closed. The place is a disaster and less and less people are going any more. I read the reviews and I have been to enough bathhouses where staff treats you with curiosity and a bit respect even with a busy day/night. If I go to a bathhouse I know staff will make sure the place is clean and not give attitude to the people paying them to stay in business. After consideration I will never go to this bathhouse even if it's the only place in town. I rather travel and get stuck in traffic for a better bathhouse. This is a decent bathhouse. Part of the Flex chain of bathhouses, it's not nearly as grand as the Flex in Cleveland, but it does have the usual amenities. Lockers, rooms, a full gym, video lounges, showers, etc. There is also a very nice outdoor area with a pool and jacuzzi. The water in the pool was a bit cold for my taste, but the jacuzzi was very nice warm temperature and had some very strong jets. Parking shouldn't be an issue as they have their own parking lot. Parts of the club have been recently renovated it appears, but overall it's a bit tired and worn -- however it's relatively clean. On the Friday afternoon that I visited, there were more than enough folks in the club for me to enjoy myself. The clientelle was mostly middle aged (30-50ish). I wished I was be able to give minus stars. The spa has the worst employees. They have zero knowledge of customer service. They are racist, rude, offensive, etc. As I witnessed an employee called "ghetto", and many other words that I will not repeat, to a customer that was exiting the premises. Not only that, but the manager on duty did not stoped the employee behavior. He started to attack every customer that was next in line, I was one of them. I have come three times to the spa, in different times, and the behavior from all are the same. Not matter what the schedule is... the service is awful! To address the drug haters, here is the deal. People use drugs. They use them everywhere. Bathhouses and sex clubs are notorious for drugs. You should already know this. If you have a problem with it, don't go. You will not hurt the business. You are in the minority. If the dealers and druggies stopped showing up the place would go under. We have a saying in the bar business. If there are no lines on the inside there will be no lines on the outside. You are in no position to judge these people. I checked it out yesturday for the first time. It was fun playing with the boys. I had heard good and bad stuff about this place. Some of the reviews were not the best but i wanted to see for myself. For all of the complaints about the rude staff, before last night I hadn't been there for 2 years, and I have to say: in my opinion the staff attitude has improved exponentially. In my experience staff with a chip on their shoulder is an endemic problem in the industry, but before rushing to judgment consider their job description and put yourself in their shoes; low wages, cleaning up the bodily fluids and general mess of men fucking and partying and working somewhere open 24/7. I don't speak Spanish, but every LA area bathhouse seems to have predominately Spanish-speaking workers. Actually true of every bathhouse in the US I've ever patronized. I've always gotten along fine with my pigeon Spanish, English, sign language and show and tell. As for the drug use: also endemic to bathhouses, though in some places it's more prolific than others. Hint from me: accept it and ignore it. If u can't ignore it tell anyone who approaches you about partying that you don't. It will limit your choices but there's a good chance you'll be left alone. If all else fails just don't go to bathhouses. As for problems with sex workers: I've never been solicited by one so I have no reason to be bothered by or judgmental toward them. I have friends who escort and it's hard work and they get little respect. As for overall cleanliness, I find Flex to be somewhat better than most but as with all bathhouses, cleanliness can be sporadic. It just depends on who's working that day. Personal observation: I've noticed that the negative reviews tend to be heavily laced with judgment in the form of racism, class warfare and slut shaming. I went there last night to try it out, and I was extremely disappointed. Staff seemed very helpful, but hard to hear through the glass and wearing of masks, maybe think about a small speaker? When I got there there was a sign says lockers only. I asked when a room would come available and they said 1.5-2 hours. I said ok I'll be back. ~2 hours later I come back and still no rooms and then get told there is a waitlist. I tell the guy it's my first time there and I'll get a locker and get on the waitlist. He explains the layout and then sends me on my way. Everything seems pretty standard in the layout and what is offered. A few moments later after exploring the same guy who helped me is actually giving another guy a tour. That should have been my warning there. I waited hours and hours for a room. In a few areas of the facility it's hard to hear the overhead announcements. Numbers are only stated once so if you miss it I guess your SOL. I went up and asked about a room and they said nothing had been called. 7 hours later I packed my stuff out from the locker and checked out and went to midtown. Will not be going back! read more

Came here with a buddy of mine. We split a room, Room 113. The next day I woke up with 11 bedbug bites. I will never come here again. Reading previous reviews they seem to have a bedbug problem. Last weekend I went & some fun & stayed until the end of the 8-hr shift I had paid for. During my last 15 min before checking out, I left my room to shower, returned to my room, and saw that my door was wide open--with all my stuff still in the room! I knew that I had firmly closed it. Then I left again to quickly brush my teeth, returned, and the damn door was open again!! I questioned the front desk staff (who communicated to each other in a language other than English) and they of course all denied entering my room. So if ya didn't know, this is a place where men go to meet and have sex with each other. You can rent a room or you can simply rent a locker (for an 8-hour shift). There is a gym (a rather large one actually); a play room with a large bed, multiple tvs playing porn, benches to sit and watch the action, and a few glory holes; a few shower areas; a porno room with stadium seating and two 'nook' areas; a 2nd porno room with stadium seating; a sauna; an outdoor pool; and a few areas to rest from all the sex you'll likely have. The lockers are, well, lockers. The rooms are varied, and this is unfortunate. Only a few have tvs (i like to always have porn on in my room because it sets the right mood, is hot to have playing in the background, etc), most are pretty small (I think there are 3 however that are large with queen or king sized beds), and they are often booked up and hard to get. If you want a room and none are available, you can put yourself on a wait list and use a locker in the meantime, however it is often very difficult to hear them call for you over the loudspeaker when the room is ready. It's not a good PA system and most the employees don't speak clearly or loud enough or enough times when using it, plus sometimes you'll be in the pool, sauna, etc. so you wouldn't hear it anyway. So it's not unusual to miss out on getting your room. So let's explore this area for a moment because the employees and the way things are run at this place of business are a little problematic. The employees range from nice and friendly to cold and kind of dickish. Mostly the latter, I hate to say. I always tip very well because these guys aren't making bank and they deal with a lot of BS. My ONLY expectation in return is to not be treated like an asshole. I'm as easy-going as they come. I don't cause the staff any problems and my worst crime might be occasionally forgetting my checkout time and needing to ask when it is. When I come up front to ask it's a little off putting to have the guy snap at me that I was told when I checked in and I should pay better attention next time...before glancing at the computer/board/whatever they have back there to get the checkout time, literally a 3-second process. Or when I ask to exchange a used towel for a fresh one and the staff member makes an annoyed sigh and avoids eye contact when sliding me the new one. At places like this I always put at least $10 in the tip jar when I enter was and a $5 tip each time I come up with a request (usually no more than 2-3 times). So DUDES, do me ONE favor - please don't treat me like a piece of shit. I'm sorry I didn't hear you page me for an available room. You're getting $5 for the trouble of adding me back onto the wait list and I still have no room. I don't need a scolding. SO. Management. This is where you really need to do something. A) Get a better system of notifying customers when their room is ready. Maybe a board that shows where they are currently on the list, so we can check in at our leisure and be around when we near the top of it. B) Your employees need to, at the very minimum, look like they don't hate working there. The fact that they do look like they hate working there shows that you are doing something wrong. Try to figure out what it is. Fix it. Remind the staff to smile and be respectful. Tell them to save the attitude for the problem people. There will always be plenty of problem people for them to (deservedly) go off on. But back to the rest of the experience, the part that is the reason you're going - the clientele. Flex has, in general, a younger crowd, largely latino, but ultimately you will find guys of every type here. There are nervous nellies and tweakin todds. Some guys will ask to use condoms, others won't. Some just want to suck, others want to fuck. As always in these places, if you're a top you will have a much easier time because there are way more guys looking to bottom. Hooking up here is generally not difficult as there are plenty of places to hang out and initiate conversations. Or you can just leave your door to your room open and see who stops in to say hello. Personally I prefer taking a dip in the pool, where I usually meet 3-4 other guys doing the same. It's relaxing and gives everyone time to feel each other out, see who gravitates to whom. So yeah, this place is decent and there's usually a decent crowd. Other problems? Lack of steam room. Lack of hot tub. Rooms not always cleaned very well. Bottom line - not the worst, but not my favorite. And hey, select dudes at the front desk......stop being dicks when it's uncalled for. read more

Warning: If you come here on a Saturday night/ Sunday morning and expect to get a room, be prepared for an extremely long wait, like hours. However, if you are friends of the guys at the front window, you'll be given a room within 20 minutes. That's what happened to me last Sunday night. After complaining about what happened and waiting over 4 hours for a room, I was offered the next room. Sorry Flex management, favoritism is not right. Have your employees put the everyone on the waiting list for rooms and have the clerked stick to the rules, giving a room to the next person on the list, it's only fair. Sending an email the next day complaining of this favoritism on their website was fruitless, no reply or acknowledgement of even receiving the complaint was even given to me. I came here last August (it was saturday night). Parking was quite hard that night, the parking lot is full. i waited like 20mins just to park. Quite expensive, pqid more than $30 bucks for a room. The staff in the cashier is nice and helpful. Just like what other reviews says. no jacuzzi or steamroom as of august 2015. but its ok, at least they still have their pool, sauna and showers. this place is clean. they have gym. they have lounges where you can relax. they have a section the club where you can have public sex. read more

flex LA fool us. they took 40% of the gym got rid of my favor equipment and what we got after 4 mounts of work? a cold room like refrigerator they remove the soft rubber rug and left it with cold cement floor. they hang a plastic drape make a hole in the central . and this is our Micky mouse glory hole wall no one can use it as glory hole. the orgy bed is 5'x6' smaller then twin size bed not comfortable even for two guys. in the front there is an empty space like 7'x20' not in use. what a west. it is poor designs, poor materials, and we're poor guys that we can't enjoy it. somebody hang a questionnaire over there and asked how we like the new room. out of 45 guys only 4 sine I like it and 41 dislike it. it means 91% of the costumer don't like it but the dummy supervisor there don't give a dam. read more

The only thing that I didn't like is the steam room and sauna have a bright light on. Bright as can be with big windows you can see through.
