I understand that his bread and butter is for wedding photography, and those are gorgeous. However, we used Jerrick for our event photography and I have never seen anything better. Truly. Jerrick has had the difficult task of shooting our events, often with 400+ individuals. We give him the vague and important directions of: please capture the vibe of the event. Awful directions. I know that. But I care less about certain moments and certain faces, and I want photos that capture our world. Our impact. Our community. That's hard. That's not, stand here and pose here type of photography. My five-year-old with my iPhone can do that. Jerrick has to photograph a vibe. I don't know how he does it, but he does it every time. And he brings us to tears. Happy tears. I also want to note something else about Jerrick's work that is often overlooked in this industry and I think it deserves to be mentioned. All too often, when a photographer edits their photos to give a bright edit, it ends up lightening skin color as well.
