I was traveling alone, and on my arrival night at the hotel, I had a beer at the bar and enjoyed chatting with the bartenders. In the morning, I returned to get some work done over breakfast and coffee. I went with the omelette- which is build your own- and a latte. The meal came with big smashes potatoes on the side, along with sourdough bread & jam. Enjoyed my drink as well, made with Starbucks coffee & added vanilla. The breakfast was a whopping $30 however, which I find kind of wild. Is it just that it's because the restaurant is inside a hotel? Maybe these are typical Chicago prices? Either way, plan to spend a fair bit to dine here.

After 10 minutes of patiently waiting for him to come ask if I'd like a drink or food menu, I went up to the bar and asked if he could help me. He asked "what do you want?" "I'm thinking of a drink, since this is a bar, and maybe something to eat if you have a menu." A Woodford old fashioned was $20 - this location doesn't warrant Las Vegas pricing. Service sucks - night 2 was a replay. I watched 2 other groups of customers sit at a table, were ignored and then have to walk up to the bar to order and fetch their drinks.

They have all sorts of flavor pairings to accommodate every guest. I got the Captain's Revenge after hearing the Pearl Diver was unavailable. It was good but not amazing. For my second drink, I got the Chocolate Banana Old Fashioned which I thoroughly enjoyed. I didn't hear anyone in our group be disappointed with what they ordered. Our server, Jazmine, was very knowledgable about the menu and asking the right questions to make sure what we each ordered would be something we liked.
