I had lunch with MIL on Monday afternoon. We were seated right away by the host and his son (I love take-your-kid-to-work day!) which gave us the family friendly/upscale sports bar vibe that I enjoyed very much. Miss Cris took great care of us, and answered all of our questions about the menu. The burgers were delicious! I asked for medium rare, and got medium rare, so I was very happy with my meal. Great service & food & a mostly comfortable restaurant except that the heat kept going on and off so we kept putting on and taking off our coats but aside from that, just about perfect. People loved the onion rings & pretzel with beer cheese sauce appetizers and also their individual burgers and sides. I really liked my Bru Burger. I liked the combination of sweet & savory toppings. Stopped in for a bite before running errands on a Saturday and we were able to grab seats right at the bar. Service was quick and friendly. I had a seasonal drink called barrel of peaches...yum! The burger was pretty good. Only thing I would have liked is a softer bun. Now on the the FRIES!!! As the self proclaimed fry queen I'll say that I could come here for the fries alone! I just graduated from college and my husband took me out for a celebratory dinner. I chose a place that we had never been to before after much research online. When we walked in the restaurant it wasn't busy at all (it was nearly 4pm on a friday). Our server was nice. I ordered a mocktail while my husband had a Mt. Dew. I ordered a Bru burger and a side of onion rings and my husband ordered a double bacon burger with an over easy egg and chili fries on the side. I had read a few reviews about the onion rings (not the best reviews) but I ordered them. I wasn't a fan of them but O dipped them in their house made ketchup and it tasted delicious. The burger was top tier. My husband enjoyed his meal. We definitely plan on coming back and I think next time Ill get a side of chili fries and definitely that house made ketchup! read more

Went in mid afternoon with my wife to enjoy lunch Sat at the bar and greeted by bar staff whom was pleasant. Order a draft beer and my wife a cocktail after she was given some beer samples which we appreciated. Order burgers which were made to order very nicely and give an eight out of ten. Side orders were extra and my wife had fries which were warm but they were over cooked and I had onion rings which were over cooked and tasted like fried breading and not onion ,5 out of 10 because they were hot . Visited Bru Burger during 614 Restaurant Week. This was my third visit to this restaurant. The restaurant has two floor, with stairs or an elevator for the second story. The bar is located in the main floor. My group sat in the second floor. Our server was quick to take our drink order. For 614 Restaurant Week there was a special three course meal. I started with a Gorgonberry Pecan Salad. It looked beautiful and tasted great. The poppyseed dressing was amazing and I would love to know their recipe. For my second course I opted for the Garlic Three Cheese Burger. This is my second time getting this burger. I like the Aoli sauce and cheeses on the burger. Lastly I finished with the White Chocolate Peach Bread Pudding. It was arguably the best part of the meal and one of my favorite desserts. Definitely recommend it. Overall this was a great visit. The service was great, our server Sophie was kind enough to give recommendations on the cheese and informed us of the ability to sub out Pattie's on any burger option, so I opted for the double bacon with the bison patty and have absolutely no regrets. This would've been a 5-Star review but the burger don't come with fries. That being said this is easily my favorite burger spot in the state and maybe even in the country. First stop during our trip to Kansas City for Memorial Day. Using Yelp, we were able to "discover" Bru Burger, not far from our hotel. Bru Burger is a chain that I have never heard of but would love to have a location in New Jersey. Located in a strip mall, Bru Burger is definitely upscale with two levels of seating and outdoor tables. Carol had a nice Klinker Zinfandel while I chose a Bell's Two Hearted. Both were excellent! Burgers - I chose the Stilton Bleu Cheese Burger (Fried onions, Spinach, Pear Bacon Jam and Truffle Aioli). Carol had the Bourbon Burger and we shared an order of fries. Server did not want to take food order or second round of drinks for our group of 40. I asked to order food and waited 30-45 minutes before leaving to go to another restaurant. On my way out the manager raised his voice to me and my wife that we couldn't stand near the bar and I calmy said we were leaving as we were saying goodbye to friends but he returned 30 seconds later and raised his voice again. When I asked the server for our check she had a look of being annoyed even though she was just chatting with another server and not assisting customers. First visit here in a long while since I don't work close anymore. The Restaurant Week menu looked good ($20/pp) and boyf had never been, so we arrived around 5 on Wednesday night. We sat at the bar and both bartenders were very nice and personable. The place was not busy at all and we were the only bar patrons. One thing that bugged me is they don't advertise any happy hour. We asked, and were told $1 off beer and wine til 6. So my $12 glass of wine and his $7 Sam Adams draft were a dollar off. We didn't have more because frankly, that isn't a great deal for HH. I chose the Honey Cumin Lime salad for my first course on the RW menu, and The Beginning burger as my second. There was no 3rd course (typically dessert) because, I assumed, a side of fries, cole slaw or fruit came with the entree. I substituted an Impossible patty for an extra $2, and swapped the american cheese for white cheddar. I also asked for the oat bun. The salad that sounded so good was disappointing. It was wet, and had too many iceberg core pieces for my liking. The burger was very good. The oat bun is wonderful and I highly recommend. The cole slaw was colorful, but is more vinegar-based than creamy, which I prefer. No matter, boyf ate it since he didn't order a meal. Tip: You can sign up for VIP rewards on their website. Great pick on my behalf! Was looking for somewhere to go with my coworkers for a dinner. Been to BRU Burger once before but could not remember if I liked it or not. Very accommodating place when it comes to changing how many people were coming. Great selection of burgers and huge appetizers list. You really could not pick wrong. I want to go back and try so many items. I got the BRU burger because of course the name. It comes with Taleggio Cheese, Bacon, Tomato Jam, Caramelized Onion, Chopped Lettuce, Mayo. It was so good. The only downfall of this restaurant is that you have to order the fries separately which I did not realize beforehand. I think they make all their dips in house as their ranch was AMAZING! They have homemade ketchup. I just want to go back and try them all. Will definitely be going back and trying some signature cocktails as well. Went to Bru Burger for lunch on a Sunday and it was relatively empty when we went. When we went in and I looked around, it seemed spacious and then I realized that there was a 2nd floor. Both floors are equally spacious. The restaurant was clean with friendly staffs. Soon as we were seated our server came and recommended few items and took our orders. The food came pretty quickly. So we ordered, the Mexicali BBQ with chicken (recommended by our server) and The End burger. Both burger was good, but my favorite was the Mexicali, great recommendation. The burger does not come with sides, so we added couple of sides. We ordered the onion rings and fries. The onion rings were huge, a little salty but good. The fries were good too. We also ordered the cheese burger from the kids menu, with a side of fresh fruit and chocolate milk. The order from the kids menu could easily be an order from the regular menu, the portion size was pretty big. A good place to come and try different types of burgers. read more

Went for dinner recently. Great experience! Mice looking place - newly built or remodeled. I didn't realize it was 2 stories with a balcony upstairs, overlooking ponds and trees. Decent beer list with lots of rotating taps. The stars of the show are the burgers, of course! I hit the mushroom and Swiss and added fresh jalapeños - it was delicious! Good sized but not huge and very tasty. My friend got the 3 cheese garlic burger and it was delicious. Sides are sold separately here - we got fries with homemade ketchup. The whole family loved this place. Only issue I had were the onion rings. They were still doughy and had no flavor, don't get them. However, the burgers were awesome and even the kids said they wanted to come back. The fontana sauce is on another level.....amazing. Get a side of it and dip everything in it. The variety exceeded my expectations- I enjoyed impossible burger and my co-diner enjoyed turkey burger. There's also a few different bun choices and they are all DELICIOUS! Also, the onion rings / if you're a fan of onion rings, you've got to try them here. Being from Indianapolis, I am very familiar with the Cunningham Restaurant Group, and have been to quite a few Bru Burger locations across the Hoosier state. However, this was my first time at the Westerville, OH location. This location is tucked away in a newer looking building near the Mt. Carmel Rehab Hospital. There is plenty of parking in a lot behind the restaurant. Walking in, you will notice very high ceilings and a wrap around bar. They have seating on the main floor and more seating on the second floor which overlooks the main dining area. In addition, they have a large patio area adjacent to the 2nd floor seating area. We went during 'Burger and Beer week' to give one of their specialty burgers a try at a discount. The special was on their 'bourbon' burger, a beef patty with bacon, peppercorn-bourbon glaze and horseradish havarti on a brioche bun. This is definitely what I would consider a "craft" burger, meaning very high quality meat and other ingredients. The burger was juicy and the bacon was crunchy. However, I felt it needed just a bit more -- it felt like it was missing that 'wow factor'. For example, I wish the horseradish was a bit more powerful to give it more of a kick or the peppercorn-bourbon glaze was a bit more sweet to give it a tang. That said, I'm just being nit-picky because it was still a good burger. The french fries were delicious and perfectly salted. Note that the sides are al a carte though. It comes with a house made ketchup-type sauce, which is actually quite different than traditional ketchup -- think more like Heinz 57 sauce. It wasn't bad, just not what I expected. I also tried a side of ranch which was pretty good. Overall, would recommend this restaurant to all the burger connoisseurs out there. read more

I have eaten here multiple times in the past. My experience last night was not up to par with my past experiences. I was sat at a booth upstairs. The floor in front of the booth was littered with fries and other food objects. We were seated. Wait staff and servers passed our table many times without attention to the filthy floor. It was finally cleaned after we brought it to their attention. Service was slow. I am hoping she was new and will get better with time. I left early and did not receive my birthday dessert. Restaurant Week!! Just wanted to say for $20 a person. Well worth the money!! Husband got the chili which he said was Wonderful and I the Gorgonberry Salad which was huge for a small salad. It was very yummy with the bacon, cranberries and candied pecans. The dressing was Delicious!! I will come back just for that salad! Then the burgers came out! Everything was checking all the boxes. On Easter we tried to get some dinner out and everything was closed--but the BRU was open! What beautiful architecture and space. It was nice enough to dine on the upstairs patio. I'm handicapped and much appreciated the elevator (despite being the teeny tiniest elevator I've ever been in) so I didn't need to ascend or descend the open air stairwell. We noticed as well that the upstairs had some private cove areas. Would be a great environment for a birthday, anniversary or shower get-together celebration. Our burgers were awesome--we both chose off the menu but were able to customize with + or - toppings for no added price and that house ketchup was the best ketchup ever. Sorry Heinz! read more

This has become my favorite burger in the city. Juicy, flavorful burgers. Nice variety to suite your taste. Fries are good but I recommend giving the onion rings a try. Had Great Nachos that was Supersized and once the Delicious Burger's came out with their own house ketchup and believe it or not I couldn't even finish the grub!! So my friend recommended BRU to our lunch group. He had been prior a couple times, had some tasty burgers, and decided it'd be a good spot for our group. I arrived first, landed a table, and evidently it was a "big christmas lunch" day for them. ......noted. I got the Stinson - Fried Onion, Spinach, Pear-Bacon Jam, Truffle Aioli - what is not to love about that? It hit the spot for me perfectly. I ordered my burger medium - it was closer to well (which, in the case of a burger, I think is 100% acceptable). The fries were extremely good, as well. The cut fries, where the smaller ones are nice and crispy. We had a round of beers with us, and they have a rotating tap selection, so you have to ask in advance to get a feel for what is on tap. I'd say - given the busyness of the day (it was filling up, lots of team lunches), it was understandable our server was running ragged up and down stairs, so that's why when I say "she was a little un-attentive to our table" you should understand she was *RUNNING AROUND* like crazy handling multiple tables. It's Christmas, they were slammed, and she got our order correct and delivered - so if they were slow, this would be a problem. But for the state of busy they were in? I feel it was good, overall! The food was good, a bit pricey, and the location was great. The double bacon burger hit the spot. However, the service did not. We ordered the pretzel appetizer, which left me thirsty due to no refills for 20 minutes. The waitress, K***a T was more concerned with playing on her phone at the front table than taking care of her customers. After our doos came out, she only checked back to see if we needed anything else, only after it was almost gone. When paying, I was given the payment pad, or whatever it was, and she hovered over me like a dog awaiting a treat.
