Me taking my first bite of my Original Kansas City burger.

Wow! We all loved our food. These burgers are huge...and so good. The onion strings were so good, we ordered a second basket....but then we were so full from burgers that we couldn't eat all of them. ‍ Make sure you try this place! Also, the staff was super friendly. Note: I eventually had to remove my bun to eat my burger and I still couldn't finish it.

This was well worth the trip off the beaten path to get a to die for burger!! Drinks were good, pours appropriate. Ambience was sorta divey but cool. Would definitely come back!

Had an Italian sub with french fries here. The Italian sub was huge as I got the large sandwich and super well flavored with all the different meats cheeses and garnishes. French fries are always the star for me here as they do a great job of keeping it crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. My coworker got a burger and said it was awesome Great job!

Came in for lunch. There were two servers. The shorter one was really excellent and didnt stop working the entire time. The other one was nice enough but worked the room at a much slower pace and was far more chatty- which when you only have two people and a lot of customers..... maybe less chatting. We came in and ordered fries. They came out really quick. Almost too quick to cook. They were also cold. We sent them back and then there was a long delay. We did get them. They were super fresh. Nice and hot. If you dont like seasoning... remember to order them without salt. They use a lot of seasoning/salt. We then ordered a reuben pizza thin and buffalo wings. The wings are huge. Meaty. Cooked and presented nicely. The pizza thins never disappoint. Probably the best thing there.

Stopped by after Outlet shopping. It's under 10 min drive and so worth it! We had some cold brews (lost coast) and belly fillers. I got the By Thor burger. Salami, fried egg bacon --- all the artery cloggers. Cohort got cheeseburger 3/4 lb. Mine looked bigger. I took half home. I can't eat like I used to. Fries are delicious with malt vinegar... you know fair fries Service friendly and quick Ambiance homey bar

First time coming here. The atmosphere was very relaxed and all the staff were very welcoming. I think my favorite part of my meal were the French fry's! I love crispy fry's and these didn't disappoint. The only thing I would say is that I requested a gluten free bun and my husband requested no onions. Both were forgotten. They ended up bringing a bun out to me to swap, but the burger was so big I really couldn't swap it out without making a huge mess. We plan to try it again because everything tasted great!

For a dive bar, 4/5 The wings are huge! 4 is plenty for one person. I personally liked the hot vs bbq. Onion rings were good and the burger was pretty solid. If back in the area, I'd go back again.

So sad about this experience. We were so excited to try it. The food is overpriced and too salty. Bad bun choice.

They will not make a rare burger. Don't let them talk you into medium if you want rare. Also the garlic wing sauce is different.

Absolutely love your new location. Have a question, the music that is played with the DJ that sounds like Fritz the Night Owl...what is it, who is it and where can I find it?

Since there were a number of couples waiting for the full service side we opted for the former. We ordered and paid at the counter. I ordered the grilled chicken breast with a sweet potato and steamed broccoli while my husband ordered the grilled salmon with sweet potato and opted for a caesar salad in lieu of a second side. The grilled chicken breast was moist and well seasoned but it essentially was naked. It could have used a nice sauce like a bearnaise or some kind of salsa (maybe chutney) to jazz it up. The sweet potato was embarrassingly small. The broccoli was crisp tender but again was bereft of any sauce or just melted butter to make it yummy. My husband's entree was tasty but essentially was pretty bare. His salad was decent though. This restaurant must understand that the eye eats as well as the stomach because when the entrees arrived at our table the plates were rather underwhelming. We also ordered coffees and the gentlemen at the front said he would make a pot of fresh coffee. (He never did). The coffee we were served was old. Apparently, coffee isn't a big draw at this place. The best part was the gluten-free brownie and ice cream at the end. All in all, the place is nice and clean. The food is decent but there is room for improvement. Would we return since we are locals, I don't think so.

They came out looking like plain, boiled wings and very unappealing. Also ordered a side, also unappetizing. Sent both back and ordered chili. There was a five dollar difference between my first order and the chili. The server gave me a bill for the meal I sent back and got mad when I pointed it out and politely asked for the correct one. She argued that they were the same. When she returned with the right one, she slapped it down on the table and was very rude. Why would I ever return?

Where Breakfast Pizza Rules and the Morning Rush Tests Your Patience Skills…read more I swung into PJ's Family Restaurant because someone whispered the words breakfast pizza, and honestly, that's all the marketing I need. I ordered it -- and wow. Very good. So good, in fact, that I'm now convinced their regular pizza is probably amazing too. I must return for scientific research. This place was super crowded at 9:00 AM. I'm talking "half the county wanted eggs at the same time" crowded. I grabbed a seat at the bar, which at least gave me front-row seating for the Breakfast Olympics happening. The servers? Absolutely slammed. They were doing laps around the restaurant like they were training for a marathon. Zero blame -- just respect. If you come here during peak hours, bring patience. And maybe a snack. I also grabbed to-go fuel for the tribe: biscuits and gravy, French toast, and bacon -- classic hits across the board. They inhaled everything with the enthusiasm of people who hadn't eaten in 3 days. I'll definitely be back -- but next time I'll arrive earlier, like the seasoned diner ninja I aspire to be. Final Verdict: PJ's serves comfort food worth the wait, breakfast pizza worth a pilgrimage, and morning chaos with a smile.
